Chapter 82 Chapter 82: She's Leaving
Chapter 82: She's Leaving
Vishiea’s POV
I have no other choice but to leave. Maybe staying here and helping Darius is finally done. There’s no other reason for me to spend another day of my life here.
“You're leaving?” Cassie asked me. She saw me with my luggages. I didn't expect her to be here. Then Liliane went out of the other room and her eyes went on me. Her forehead knotted and approached us.
“What's going on here? Are you leaving again? Wait! Did you just come out of that room besides the king's room?” She asked. If I only knew that they were here, maybe I shouldn't have gone out first.
Now it seems I don't have a choice but to tell them truth since I am already leaving.
“I lied. I wasn't here for business. I am here because the Palace guard requests me to help the king recover. And both of you were right he's sick but now he's getting better” I told them. They were shocked after they heard me.
They then invited me to enter the room to discuss everything.
Since I still have time I agreed. Besides, I need to explain to them that they are my friends and they always treated me as their friends even when we didn't see each other for months.
I know I’m such a jerk for lying to them but I can't help but to do it. I know they will understand me.
Cassie sat on the bed while Liliane was on the couch. I sat on the chair while my things were placed near the door.
“I’m sorry because I lied again.” I told them. They look at me with hesitation.
“Anastasia, you don't have to lie to us. We understand your situation and again we have no right to question you. What's the reason is that” Cassie said. I smiled at what she said.
“You’re not mad at all?” I asked them. They shook their heads. I don't even know why we are here in this room.
“Silly, we are not mad. Why would we get mad at you? It's just that. You don't have to lie to us. Whatever, we are here to cheer and support you” Liliane said. I smiled hearing her say those words. She always makes me happy.
“I don't know how to thank the two of you. You're a great friend and I just wish we would see each other again” I said and tears streamed down my cheeks.
I’ve never had a friend like them. If I only met them even before, maybe I would have someone to talk with about my feelings. But that doesn't matter now. What is important is that I have a friend like them who’s always here for me. Who treated me kindly and supported me.
“Hey, you don't have to thank us. That's what a friend should be. Even if we don't see each other for days, months, or even years you're still our friends, “ Cassie said as they sat beside me. We both hugged each other.
“She's right Anastasia. You're our friends and we're always here for you” Liliane said. We separated from our hugs and I wiped my tears.
Maybe I am unfortunate with my mates love but I am lucky with my friends and families love. Without them I don't know what will happen to me.
“But why are you guys here? This is a meeting room.” I asked them. This room is supposed to be a place for discussing matters about the Palace and only the councilors and the king are allowed to enter here.
They both looked at each other.
“I think we should tell her,” Cassie said and cleared her throat. Tell me what? Is there something we didn't know?
“The truth is. We already knew why you're here” Liliane said. I was surprised to hear it. That means they knew from the first place why I came here and they didn't even admit it?
“What? I– I thought “ Cassie didn't let me finish my words.
“It's not that we already knew why you're here. It's just that when we saw you that day we did a little bit of spying you.” Cassie said. I looked at them and they avoided my gaze.
I don't expect them to do that.
“Of course we respect your decision to hide the truth from us but after learning the real reason we decide to play along. We're sorry” Liliane uttered. So, they actually know in the first place.
“No, it's fine. I am totally okay with it. But thanks for understanding me. I know I would never find a friend like you two” I told them. They smiled.
“Did my cousin confess to you already? Well, I just wanted to know how it went because you're already leaving and we can't see you again” Liliane asked. They both grin at me.
“Sorry we already knew that Nathan actually likes you and we don't want to interfere with his confession that's why we waited for him to talk to you that night but it all ruined and he finally confessed” Cassie said.
They actually know everything. I feel shy about it.
“Well, We already talked about that and I am not ready to enter into a relationship. I want to choose peace” I told them they both nodded their heads.
“Alright then, if that's your decision. Are you going to tell him that you're leaving now?” Liliane asked me. I shook my head.
“No, I am actually leaving and it's supposed to be a secret but you two find out about it” I told them.
“You mean even the king doesn't know you're leaving?” Cassie asked me. I nodded my head and shocked written on their faces.
“You mean he doesn't have any idea at all?” Liliane asked. I nodded my head for the second time. They both look at each other.
“If that's your decision then we can't do anything about it.” Cassie said.
It's better to leave without him knowing it.
“There's no reason to stay here anymore. I have family waiting for me. Thank you for the both of you. I appreciate everything you did to me” I said and stood up. I hugged them.
“Take care, and always remember we're always here for you,” Cassie said.
“Thank you. You two take care. I am happy that I met the two of you. “ I said before grabbing my bags.
Peter must be already outside now waiting for me.
“I’m going now,” I told them. They nodded and hugged me again for the last time.
I walked out of the room. Peter helped me carry my bags.
“Lady Anastasia, take care and thank you," Adam bowed his head. I just nod at him.
I let out a deep sigh as we are now leaving the palace. I glanced for the last time and I felt like I saw Darius.
No, that's not him.
