Chapter 67: Chapter Sixty-Seven
Aubrey
It feels good to be wrapped in Everett’s arms once again. Two weeks have felt like six months. I dance my fingers over his bare, warm chest from the hot sex we just had. I nuzzle my face in his neck.
“I have missed being wrapped in your arms.”
Everett places a kiss on the top of my head. “I have missed you in my arms, angel. I was worried there for a while. I thought my leaving had ruined everything for us,” he sighs.
He wasn’t the only one. I meet his sigh. “I know, I am sorry. That was my fault.”
I let everything get on top of me, and the worst thoughts ran through my head.
Everett strokes my hair. “You have nothing to be sorry for, Aubrey. I understand it. I almost became unreachable after promising you things wouldn’t change.”
I just hope when I return home on Monday, the next couple of weeks don’t go the same way. I can’t deal with it. I hate myself for it, but due to my past, I worry about things more than most, more than I should.
“It is okay, but promise me it won’t be the same when I return home?” I say and glance up at him.
Everett looks down at me. “I promise it won’t be the same. There is one way we could make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
I know exactly what he means, but it can’t happen. “Everett, you know that I wish I could stay until you come home, but I can’t.”
Sighing loudly, he runs his fingers through his messy, sweaty hair. “I know. I thought I would give it another try.”
If we weren’t a secret, I would have come with him, but we are, so I can’t do that. I felt horrible about lying to Hugo and Erica about where I was going this weekend, never mind for another two weeks.
“Everett, I don’t know how much longer we can keep this a secret. Nothing is going to change until we tell Hugo and Erica about what is going on. Our relationships will be made up of us hiding at mine or yours, or travelling hours out of the city just for a date. I am fine with all of that right now, but it can’t stay this way for too long. The longer we wait to tell them, the worse it will be.”
It is a choice both of us need to agree on, but more so when Everett is ready, because when the truth comes out, he will get the worst of it. It isn’t going to be easy, but at least we won’t be lying any longer.
“You are right. Once I return home, we can discuss it further and come up with the best way to tell them. I don’t want to keep us a secret, Aubrey. I want the world to know you are mine.”
I smile at his words. “I want that too. We can discuss it once you come home to me.”
Everett reaches down and kisses me softly. I smile into the kiss and kiss back. It lasts only a moment before we part. I have no idea how to tell them. That won’t really matter because, either way, they aren’t going to be happy. They will get over it, I am sure, but it may take some time. It will be a lot of pressure off once we are no longer a secret.
“Should we clean up and head out?”
“Yes, please, I need another coffee if I want to stay awake.” I laugh.
I refuse to fall asleep, no matter if I am tired. I want to be able to fall asleep next to Everett every night I am here and not allow jetlag and the time difference to get in the way. I want as much time together as possible, together and asleep.
“I thought you would. We can explore for a bit and then come back to get ready for dinner.”
Everett kisses me again before he climbs out of bed, offering his hand to me. I take it, and Everett helps me out of bed, pulling me against his naked body. I moan and slip my arms around his neck. He smirks, knowing exactly the effect he has on me.
I slap his arm playfully. “Stop smirking at me.” I huff.
His arm comes around me, holding me tightly against him. “Or what?”
“Or the sex I planned on having in the shower with you won’t happen.” It is my turn to smirk.
Everett laughs loudly, his head falling back. “Like you can resist me. You can barely handle being close to me right now. Admit it, you have no self-control around me.”
He is so damn smug at times, even if he is right. I roll my eyes and wiggle from his hold. “We will see about that.”
I walk away. Everett groans, and I can feel his eyes burn into my ass as I go. I stop at the bedroom door and turn to him. “Are you coming?”
“I will be soon, and so will you.” Every word is spoken with such confidence.
“If you say so…”
I hurry to the bathroom to start the shower. I have the urge to lock the door behind me just to annoy him, but I shouldn’t. I want him in the shower with me. I want him to take me again in the shower, but he doesn’t need to know that, not right now. Of course, I want him again. It has been two weeks. It may not seem long for some, but for us, it is because we usually have sex nearly every night. My body has been craving him. It will always crave him, and I know he is the same as me. The man has me addicted, and I am not ashamed to admit it.
I step into the large shower and wait for him to join me. He follows only seconds later. The second he does, my back is against the wall, trapped between that and his body. I bite my lip to stop from moaning.
“Can I help you?” I ask with a raised brow.
“You know you can.”
He dips his head down to kiss me, but before I can, I turn away from him, my back to him. He chuckles and comes up behind me, his front to my back. “Do you think turning away from me is going to help, sweetness? We both know it won’t, since you love it when I fuck your pussy from behind.”
I swallow hard and squeeze my thighs together. I love it. “I-I—I don’t know what you mean.”
That sounds convincing, not! He laughs and kisses my neck. “You are turned on just at the thought of it.”
I shake my head, trying to fight against it, but I know there is no point. I will break soon enough.
Everett’s lips land on my ear. “You just tell me when you are ready for my cock again, baby girl.”
Oh God! I am done for! At this rate, I won’t even last five minutes, but damn, I am going to try.
