Chapter 19: Naomi is abducted.

Kirana's POV

I rushed into the compound while the puzzled gateman stood watching me. he must be wondering what is after me.

I rushed to our apartment and the door was wide open, my heart skipped and I paused on my tracks

"oh no! this can't be happening" I muttered while breathing heavily

I ran into the house and called Naomi out loud but there was no reply

I hurried to the kitchen but there was no sign of her, I turned around and ran out then headed for her room but she wasn't there either

I became terrified, I tried calling her number but her phone was ringing on top of her bed, she never goes out without it.

I checked all the rooms but still couldn't find her, suddenly I heard someone call my name and I ran out to the living room.

There she was, sitting on a couch relaxed

"you are looking for me" she smiled

"oh my Gawd... where were you, you scared me!" I spurted

I walked towards her and suddenly stopped when i noticed something unusal

"son of a bitch... what have you done to her??" I suddenly fired

"you are always late Kira" he said in his real voice and transformed back to the Sorcerer

"where is she?" I shouted

"don't worry about her, you will have her back after I get what I want" he retorted

"That's never going to happen" I muttered and lifted a couch with my telekinesis

I threw it in his Direction but he vanished before it could get to him and the couch came crashing heavily on the floor

just them Billy came running in with his two favourite bodyguards

"Kira are you okay?" he rushed to me checking my hand to see if I'm hurt

"It's okay... I'm fine but I can't say the same for Naomi"

"what happened to her?" He asked curiously

I looked towards his bodyguards and he understood what I was thinking, he signalled them to leave immediately and they walked away

"she has been abducted by the Sorcerer, we need to get her back" I said while holding back the flood of Tears trying to escape my eyes

"Kira it's okay, we'll find her" he said and cupped my checks then tucked a few of my hairs behind my ear in a romantic way

I look into his eyes but couldn't hold on for long I dropped my gaze and it fell on his pink lips

Then suddenly his right hand went down to my chin, he held it with his thumb and first finger then he raised my face up to stare into my eyes, that was it I lost all control, all I did was stare

He brought his head forward to mine and soon crushed my lips with the most intense kiss I have ever received

His left hand went behind to my waist and pulled me closer to him while the other was on my left cheek

I shut my eyes and threw my hands over his shoulders, his tongue was exploring my mouth while nibbling on my lower lips

Just then I came back to my senses, I gently pushed him off and turned away unable to look him in the eye

"we need to find Naomi" i managed to utter in a whisper

"That's right... do you have a plan?" he asked softly

"Yes... but I need Reenie" I said and brought out my phone

I dialled her number but it was unavailable... well do I even need this device

Reenie's POV

"like seriously?" I asked and laughed

"yes we nicknamed him booger boy and that was what he was called for the rest of our High School Days" he replied and I giggled

"OMG... that's hilarious, your high school days sound like fun times" I laughed looking deeply into his eye

"Um... do you mind letting me in on the joke" a familiar voice drew our attention to the door

"mum?" Norman said surprised by his mum sudden appearance in my office

"I couldn't find you in your office so I was sure to find you here" she smiled

"good day miss Merlin" I greeted and she responded with a smile

"Um... mum, why are you carrying a traveling bag" he asked when he noticed the large traveling box she held

"Well a close friend of mine called me early this morning, her daughter is getting married tomorrow and it's important that I am there... so I am on my way to Paris right now" she announced

"What?!!" Norman and i screamed simultaneously

"yes... I can't miss it for anything" she added

"mum why so sudden, you can't just leave me" Norman complained

"relax boy... it's not like I'm going away forever, so stop acting like a baby" she scolded

"but Mum... you know that I gave the Maids and servants one-week break, who's going to take care of me" he whined

"like I said, you are not a baby anymore, I'm sure you will do just fine" she replied

Norman could see that she had made up her mind, that there was no persuading her to change it so he gave up

"fine... I'll drive you to the airport" he said in a sad tone

"that will be fine... go ahead, I'll be right behind you" she replied

"alright" Norman concluded and walked out

"good bye ma... wish you a safe and fun flight" I said

"thanks dear and please take care of my son, he might look all Stern and bossy but under all that attitude is a little baby, he doesn't even know how to do his own shoelaces correctly" mrs Merlin uttered and I laughed

"Alright Ma... I will" I promised and hugged her then she waved goodbye and walked away

"I am gonna miss that woman" I said in thoughts

"Reenie!!" I heard a voice call me

I looked around but it was just me in the office

"Reenie!" the voice called again but I still saw no one

it sounded very familiar so I tried to remember who it belongs to.

I figured it out when she called me the third time, that was Kirana and she was trying to reach me telepathically

I walked towards the glass windows of the skyscraper and looked outside in case she was there but she wasn't so I shut my eyes to keep the connection strong

"kira is that you?" I asked in through my mind

"yes of course dummy" she replied

"Hmm... that's classic Kira, what do you want?" I asked rudely

"Drop the attitude and get back home now, Naomi needs us" she replied

"what happened to Naomi?" I asked

"the sorcerer has her, be home as soon as you can" she stated

"alright I will" I concluded

someone tapped me on the back and I jolted back to reality

"hey Norman " I said when I turned and met him

"who were you talking to?" He asked with a scrutinizing look

"Um... no one, I was just repeating the words of my favourite Filipino actor" I lied

"you like Philippines movie?" he asked

"yes kinda... um I thought you should be driving your mum to the airport right now " I asked changing the topic

"oh yes... I came to take my keys which I left behind" he replied and smiled

"Well now that you have it, shouldn't you be on your way?" I queried

"Oh... l... yeah of course" he bumbled and smiled

"I'll see you later "he chuckled and walked out

"Pheew... that was close" I muttered as he walked out

I quickly finished up my work for the day, grabbed my handbag and dashed out of merlin Enterprise

Noami's POV

I opened my eyes and slowly it adjusted to the light coming in from the window. I looked around and found out that I was in shackles, the chain was tied to a pillar on one end

The last thing I remember was, being attacked by an old man probably the sorcerer who has been after me, I took a close look at the place and it didn't look like there was anyone around, there was a big pot boiling on a fire close by.

"that Sorcerer isn't really as wise as he thinks, I mean he knows I'm a sorceress yet he restrained me with ordinary chains, I should just vanish before he Returns" I thought

I closed my eyes and tried to disappear but some kind of barrier held me back

"What is wrong?" I asked my self in a puzzle state

"this has never happened to me before, I suddenly feel empty and powerless"

I tried pulling the chain but it was strongly attached to the Pillar

"if I were you... I wouldn't do that" a voice took me aback

I turned to the left and standing there was the old sorcerer with his long wooden staff in his right hand

His beard white as snow and his eyes were dark green, he looks just like my granddad when he was alive

"I might be old but I'm not foolish, those chains are enchanted, they neutralize your powers and the more you struggle the more it weakens you, so I suggest you stop fighting it" he addedadded

" what do you want from me?" I queried solemnly

"you came here with some sort of key that allows entrance to Westham, let me have it and I will set you free" he said and walked to the big pot

"No... I'm not going to do that" i fired back

"yes you will!!" He retorted in a very hoarse voice, his eyes went grey and the chains that held me went red with heat

"Arrrghh!" I screamed in pain as I felt every atom of strength in me been drained and then he stopped and walked to me with the staff still in his hand

"give me the key!" He ordered

"no!" I persisted and received yet another soul shattering shock

"wait!!" I yelled when I couldn't take the pain anymore and he quit doing that

"where is it ?" he asked in a Wicked tone

"Uncuff one of my hands" I requested

he first looked at me closely to observe my moves then he unlock my right hand by merely touching the right cuff

"I'm sorry kira... sorry I'm not as strong as you" I said in thoughts

I pulled off my necklace from my neck and handed him the flat triangular object stringed to it

he took it and examined it closely then smiled

"I see... so the priestess implanted the breach source in this little chip made of metal from the Mermaid clan, how smart" he murmured and smiled evilly in satisfaction

"now you have what you want, let me go"I said

"Not so fast, tell me how to use it" he ordered

" you just have to chant the secret mantra ten times"

" what is the secret mantra?" he asked in a thunderous voice

I hesitated for a while and once again he made the chain burn my skin to I complied and told him the manta

he chorused it 10 times but nothing happened, i almost laughed out loud, he turned to me with so much anger in his eyes

"what is this? are you trying to make a fool out of me "he barked Furiously

"No... all I told you was correct" I said weakly in my defense

"then why isn't it working?" he sounded like a canon

" because it ain't complete... you need the other two half" I replied

"what are you talking about?" he queried looking annoyed "what other halfs?"

"The metal was in a shape of a large coin when I arrived on earth, so Kira decided to break it into in three, that way everyone got to hold a part of it, no one can go back without the other's consent" I explained

"Ahhh!!" he groaned angrily "that daughter of a witch, I knew she would be trouble right from the first day but I'm still not going to let her ruin my plans" he uttered and vanished

I tried pulling my other hand out but I received a sort of zap that really stung

"Damn it!" I cursed in frustration
