Chapter 15: Baron! Don't do it!
Baron's POV
I sat on my bed staring at her picture , it's been months yet I'm not over her
"why did you have to leave me, why Kira... why"
I was still admiring the photo when suddenly I sniffed evil in the air, who dare trespass
"Who are you show yourself!" I ordered but got no reply
I stood up and grabbed my bows and Quiver ready to attack, suddenly the lights went out and darkness took over, but who needs external light when I'm the light itself, I activated my elf glow emitting brightness from my skin.
Soon I noticed some movements, I Fired an arrow as my elf Instincts led me and there was a loud scream followed by a heavy thud, the lights came back on and lying on the floor was a dark elf with my arrow pierced deep in his left shoulder
"you sneaky rebel, how dare you come here I yelled and grabbed him up
I drew my data from a shelf and was about to stab him when a voice stopped me
I turned behind and there was my least expected visitor
" you!" I ultered in surprise "what do you want?" I queried now aiming my bow at him
"You should know by now that your bows Is useless against me and by the way I'm here for dialogue not Confrontation" he said in a hoarse voice
After hesistating for few minutes, I lowered my arroe but still on my guard
"what do you want" I asked again
"I need your help to get to Earth" Mckzene announced
"What makes you think I will help you if I could"
"let's just say we both have something to gain"he smiled
"What do you mean?" I queried
he walked past me to my bed while I watched him carefully, then he picked up the picture of Kirana I was admiring moments ago
"If you work with me and we get to earth, I can have the scrool and you my dear will have her all to yourself" he smiled
I looked at him and could see that he meant his words, his offer was an attractive one but was it worth me going against my people and helping the enemy
"Think wisely boy... this is your chance to have what you desire, give me a reply tomorrow by the devil's sea at Dawn and don't try to act smart with me" his last words echoed in the room as he vanished
I turn around and the dark elf was also gone, just then Vishia barged in
she looked around suspiciously and gave me a scrutinizing look
"Who was that?" she queried
"who was who?" I asked
"I heard voices... I hope you didn't bring a lady in here" she asked but I was too Lost in thoughts to reply
She walked to my bed and saw the picture of Kirana
"Oh now I get it, you are talking to her picture, When will you get over her I can't tolerate this attitude of yours anymore, I am your wife and you should only love me... anymore of this and I will be forced to complain to your parents... be warned!" she fired in a rage and stomped off leaving me speechless
Norman's POV
we lay on the bed unclad except for the blanket that covered us, I looked at her and she smiled shyly then I smiled back
We just had one hell of a marathon sex, tonight is a day I will never forget, I can finally let go of the past and it's all thanks to her, she made me feel like a real man
I don't care about what happened years ago, today is all that matters
she crossed her right arm over my chest and played with the hairs on it, then she looked deeply into my eyes and whispered
"I am sorry"
"sorry for what" I asked
"well for doing that"
"silly girl... we both did it and I don't regret it one bit, I should even be thanking you" I said
"okay... can I ask you a question" she giggled
"Sure! shoot ahead" I chuckled
"Well... what are we..."
she was still halfway with the question when a knock on the door interrupted her
"who is there" I asked
"Sir... your mum sent for you and your guest, dinner is ready" A male servant said from outside
"Oh my gawd!!... We have been gone for quite long, what do we tell your mum?" she sputtered in a whisper
"Relax... Mum is not a problem" I chuckled
I asked the servant to tell Mum we were on our way and I heard his footsteps as he left.
Then we stood up, put on our clothes in a hurry and left for the dining
Mum was already seated but dad was not there yet
"Norman where have you two been? were you showing her the whole Sydney town or probably the entire Canada?" mom asked
"sorry Mum... we just got caught up doing something" I said and winked at Reenie. she smiled back
"doing something indeed... what's up with the red color on your lips?" mum smiled suspiciously
"Oh... that" I said lost of words "um... well Mum ... I'm super hungry" I said and hugged her from behind
"I see hungry huh?" she giggled "well you should be... Reenie dear, i hope he didn't say anything bad to you" she asked
"Actually ma... he threatened to drown me earlier and he's the reason why I am sweating" Reenie giggled
I looked at her and she winked
"This girl will expose us" I said in thoughts and almost laughed out
"How exactly did he do that?" mum asked and smiled
"Oh about that... just let him be ma... I am also very hungry" reenie uttered and we all started laughing
It's obvious mum is suspicious, I wonder what she knows
"okay you two are being mischievous, now sit down let me serve you" Mum chuckled
"you don't need to do that ma, you already did the cooking so let me take care of the dishing reenie suggested
"Ok my dear... that's nice of you, please go ahead" mum permitted
Reenie dished the meal for the three of us then sat directly opposite to me.
Reenie's POV
"Norman what about your dad, I haven't seen him since I stepped in here" I asked while scooping the delicious plate of fried rice hurriedly into my mouth
"Oh... the old man is almost never around, he is a politician so he's always busy" Norman smiled
"Oh... politics, I see"
"If you to keep chatting like Weaver Birds then your food will go cold so quit blabbering and start eating" mrs merlin instructed
I really enjoyed the dinner, it was indeed a balanced diet, it felt like my tummy was going to burst
After the dinner I spent some time with the Merlin's... I found out that Norman has a sister who is studying overseas.
Finally it was time to go... they walked me to the main door and I hugged mrs merlin goodby, she works back then Norman walks me further to the car
The driver was already in it waiting for me, I turned back to Norman smiling
"So?" I asked
"wel... I wanted to say that... um... ERM... the thing is..."
"Hmm... good night, see you tomorrow boss" I smiled and got into the car leaving his words uncompleted
The driver moved while Norman stood there smiling sheepishly, "he's really cute though" I said and smiled.
Kirana's POV
"so how was last night, hope you didn't fight with your boss" I asked Reenie who was preparing for work
"No... in fact we had a fun night" she said and smiled
"Wait that smile..."I said and wrinkled my eyebrow "Oh my gawd... tell me it's not true" I yelled .
Then she laughed
" well it kind of happened... I will narrate when I'm back from work, now tell me while you were sleeping on the couch last night" she asked
Just then the memories of the previous night flashed through my mind, the picture of him kissing me, I can't get it off my head
"it's nothing much, i didn't realise when I fell asleep" I lied
"hahaha , you are such a terrible liar, its obvious something happened cuz your eyes are telling a different story" she laughed
Well she's right... I'm not good at lying, my eyes always betray me
"Fine... I will also tell you when you come back" I forced a smile
"OK see you at night, I'm almost late for work" she replied
"Alright... I'll walk you out then lock the door, i don't think I'll make it to work today"
"Okay... no problem" she replied and grabbed her handbag then she headed for the main door and i followed behind
I noticed she was putting on a tight mini-skirt, well that's new
she left and I shut the door, I walked back to the couch and just then the doorbell rang
"Great... she always forget something" I muttered
I stood up and walked to the door, opened it and was shocked to see him standing there
" Billy" I ultered
"hey good morning" he half smiled
"Morning" I replied feeling awkward "come in" I requested
He walked in and sat on the front couch while I tried hard to avoid eye contact
"well... Kira about yesterday, I would like to apologize" he said Softly
"no you don 't need to" i replied still avoiding those eyes, staring into his eyes makes me weak I become nervous and can't take my eyes off them
"Yes I do... whenever I get drunk, I tend to misbehave a lot"
"Misbehave indeed" I chuckled and he laughed
"So... I hope I didn't bother you much" he asked
"Well you were a bit naughty... but it's fine" I replied
"Okay... I guess we are good" he asked
"yeah ... totally" I smiled with a new spirit
"so aren't you going to work today?"
"Nope... don't feel like going today... i am" just then my phone rang cutting my words
I checked the caller ID and it was my boss..
"Speak of the devil... well it's office calling" I said
"oh okay... I will leave you to take that, I will be at the gym if you need me he" he stood up and walked towards the door
I accepted the call and we exchanged greetings
"Kira.... any update about the sorceress" he asked
"No sir, the man claims to not remember a thing, I think he lost his memory or something" I lied
" I see... okay see you tomorrow" he concluded and ended the call
just then something struck my mind
how did he know that I'm not coming to work today and most importantly how does he know that our mysterious lady is a sorceress?
"There is something definitely fishy going on here, what am I missing" I wondered.
