Chapter 6: THE TEST PT. 1

What am I looking at exactly? Why is there a contract here? I shot a glance at Isaac but he’s just looking at me in anticipation. What happened after he dragged me away? Well, he took us to one of his companies and then handed me this contract, for what? I don’t know myself.

Isaac clasped his hands and angled his head. " Based on my understanding you’re one of Keegan’s hit men before, what I’m not sure about is how come your family doesn’t know anything about this. You’re a mafia heiress yourself so why be a sniper? I noticed your skills and they are more than qualified, " he said.

Hold on, Kamila is a mafia heiress? So that’s why I could easily move like before even though it’s a bit sloppy. "A friend of mine died last week and I was with him when that happened. The reason I’m meeting up with Hudson is because of that. He happens to be with us at that time as well, " I lied.

"So, you want my help? "he asked. I know he wants something in return, but who cares? As long as I find out who ordered to kill me then that’s good enough for me. If he happens to betray me then I’ll pay him back a thousand folds deadlier than what he’ll do. My plan to take over his organization is still lined up but that still depends on his endeavor.

"And in return? " I asked with my eyebrow arched.

"I want you to succeed in your Mafia organization and merge it with mine. " This man is gluttonous, what is he scheming, for him to need the power of two mafia organizations? when he alone can terminate a group in a snap? He is not entitled Bullet for nothing.

"I’ll talk this out with my parents first. So, how are you able to help me find out who ordered the shoot-to-kill? " I said doubtingly.

"You don’t need to worry about that, we have the best intel in the continent. Contact Logan and send all the details about everything you wanted to know, "he said and stood up. "And oh, I’ll introduce you to the whole organization later, be ready. " That was the last thing he said before leaving me in awe.

What did he just say? Damn it I still have to talk to my parents about succeeding the mafia and now he’s planning on introducing me to his troupes already? I dialed my Kaiser’s number and told him to fetch me here which he gladly accepted since he's such a sis con. On the way back home, he bombarded me with questions such as, if Isaac was treating me right or if we had already done it. I almost puked on his last question.

Anyway, I didn’t know there would be a party the moment I stepped foot at my own home. My parents prepared a so-called SMALL dinner for my visit. While eating I decided to ask them about what Isaac told me earlier. My father stopped eating and stared at me seriously.

"Kamila, We purposely didn’t tell you about this when the doctor said you’re suffering from memory loss. What pushed you to uncover this? You hated the idea of succeeding our organization before so why? "he said.

I placed my napkin down and stared at them one by one, Killian opposed the idea while Kaiser looked worried. Mother and father were just waiting for my response, I closed my eyes and heaved a sigh. "I am aware that the old me was not planning to involve herself with something this dangerous, but I have changed for the better. Brothers, and parents, I want to succeed in the organization. I am ready, " I said with my head held high.

Mom looked so proud; my brothers were still looking at me worriedly while Dad had the same expression. "This has nothing to do with Isaac, right? " You got that right pops, but I’m not telling you that.

"What does Isaac have to do with me succeeding in the organization? "I asked innocently as if I didn’t know anything.

Dad sighed and massaged his nose bridge. "I’ll let you be tested by your brothers first, "he said. That smirked at my face.

"So, if I pass −" Dad cut me off and answered, "Yes I’ll allow you. BUT it is only IF you succeed, okay? " he said before giving me a stern look. I nodded and smiled sweetly to my brothers.

"Please take care of me. " I saw how Kaiser ruined his hair out of displeasing. I laughed at the back of my head and continued eating.

After dinner, they asked me to come out of the yard to test me. Mom and Dad will be the facilitators while I engage with my brothers.

"There will be two phases, combat and gun firing. As Kaiser is the best in combat, he will be your opponent, and Killian and a few of our best reapers will be for gun firing. Are you ready princess? " Dad asked and I just answered with a nod.

Kaiser hugged me and cupped my face. "Are you sure about this? The last time we fought like this you ended up bedridden for days, I don’t want to see you like that again. " So that’s why he looked so worried, I ruffled his hair and told him that I’ll be fine and he should give his best shot.

Even after were already in the battle ground he still looked so hesitant. Should I go overboard for today? I’ve been training this body for a while now. Let’s use its full capacity. When Dad signaled the start, I cocked my head and focused my strength on speed. In a split second, I was already behind Kaiser, I grinned and moved my fist to knock him out but his reflexes were fast enough to subdue my attack.

His expression shouted astonishment but he eventually smiled with turmoil when he distinguished, that he could go all out. After that stance, we exchanged punches and defenses but not one could touch the other. Our strikes were at such a high speed that the audience’s eyes couldn’t keep up. After another minute or so Kaiser and I stopped catching both our breaths. He suddenly pounced at me looking so proud.

"Dad! Did you see that? She won! HAHAHAHA," he yelled. Dad’s eyes looked so surprised.

"Wait, she won? But you’re still standing in one piece, " he said. Kaiser chuckled and moved closer and showed him his cheek.

"She’s the first one to finally land a punch in my face, HAHAHAHA. " Everyone looked at me and I just shrugged. I looked at Killian and mouthed *‘You’re next’.*
