Chapter 44: Presidential Suite

Talk about special treatment. She never thought she would ever be in a position like this. And not to think that at first, she had thought she would get thrown out even before she made her way to the lobby.

She followed behind the lady, closely, trying to maintain composure. It was a task because the whole place was so beautiful. She could feel her neck turning over and over again, unable to hide her amazement.

“Alright miss, the Presidential Suite is on the second floor. Here's your key card,” the woman said, handing it over to Lauren.

“Please excuse me,” She said, a polite smile on her face.

He will make sure to take your luggage upstairs for you,” she added, referring to the bell attendant.

“Thank you,” Lauren responded.

She pushed the elevator button, warming her way up to the second floor.

The man still stood outside. It was probably an unspoken rule not to get in the elevator with guests. She looked down at the key card. Room 121 was written on it.

It was already late in the evening. She had landed at the airport by 4, and with all the stops it was past 7 pm now.

It was weird that Tyler had to go to a meeting this late. Still, what did she know? Billionaires could even have meetings at night or any time of the day. She wouldn't know much about that.

The elevator came to a halt and she stepped outside.

Not many rooms were on this particular floor. Just 3 if she was counting.

She spotted the bell attendant with her luggage, waiting outside her door. How did he come up so fast?

“Thank you,” Lauren said, catching up with him.

She initially thought that he would drop her stuff and leave but he waited. Right! She had seen a lot of movies like this.

He was supposed to carry her box in. She scanned the card and that was exactly what he did.

He set it aside for her next to the walk-in closet.

She was searching through her bag for a tip now. There was also that part in the movies. She pulled out a 10 and saw the look on his face.

He was mildly disappointed, but left without saying anything. I'm sure at the back of his mind he considered her a billionaire's daughter or something.

She laughed at that thought. Her focus on him hadn't allowed her to see the room clearly when she first got it.

She shut the door behind her, tossing the key card and all of her belongings on an antique cabinet just beside her.

She could swear this room was bigger than her entire apartment. Then again, there were just a few places that she could say otherwise.

It was tasteful. She often wondered what the inside of a presidential suit looked like in real life, and not just movies. This place was worth every penny.

It felt like a house on its own. With a bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in closet and even a dining area.

Just wait till she sends the videos of this place to Rachel. Her eye searched through every corner until it paused on the princess piece.

She referred to it as a princess piece because what in heaven's name is that dress?

Unable to control her excitement, she ran over to the corner where the mannequin stood. Running her hand over the smooth fabric.

Each and every pearl looked hand-stitched, right in place. The white ankle-length dress had a daring slit. God knows where the length would be on her.

No wonder Mr Gray asked her to dress sexy for dinner. He already knew exactly what she was wearing.

That reminded her…Dinner.

Enough time had gone by already. She had to get ready and fast.

She quickly rushed into the bathroom to freshen up. To be honest she felt jet lagged, but she couldn't wait to see what the night had in store for her.

After taking a hot steamy shower, she got out of the bathroom and headed straight to the vanity set to do her makeup.

She realized one thing. Tyler's things weren't in this room. If he didn't come in today like he said, then why weren't his belongings somewhat tucked in the closet or something?

Maybe they were staying in separate rooms on this trip. The thought crossed her mind. Well, wasn't that a good thing, she said trying to convince herself.

Him going the extra mile to get her a room of her own explains a lot. Whatever happened in the car earlier should be traced to this.

She leaned in for a kiss and he pulled back. That was so embarrassing. She tried shaking the feeling off but it stung even more.

She shouldn't be stuck on that. Whatever reason he had for inviting her on this trip she was going to find out eventually. They had dinner in a few minutes.

It was almost 8:30 pm. Tyler was probably on his way already so she needed to hurry up.

She ended up not doing a lot on her face. He did say he preferred her bare the last time, didn't he?

She styled her hair half up, half down. The perfect style to go with the tube pearl dress she was going to wear this evening.

That was one of the highlights of her day. She ran towards the mannequin in her underwear, eager to try on the gorgeous gown.

And as she imagined, the dress fit like a glove. Her first instinct was to take pictures and send them to Rachel.

She struggled to position the camera on the dresser. When it was steady, she set a timer and took some photos.

Immediately she tapped send to Rachel, a call came in.

“How did I already know that you were going to FaceTime me?” Lauren chuckled.

“I don't want to see your face. Show me the dress, full length. Show me, show me!” Rachel said, eagerly.

“Oh my gosh!” Rachel exclaimed as Lauren did a 360. “You're obviously going to have some fun tonight,” Rachel teased.

“Here you go again,” Lauren started, pointing a finger at her phone.

“You embarrassed me with that call when I was on my way from the airport, and in the car with Mr Gray,” Lauren shot at her friend.

“Oh really? I was wondering why you hung up on me like that.” Rachel responded.

“Why wouldn't I? When you were talking about who was getting dicked down tonight and who wasn't,” Lauren replied.

“Wait a minute. Did Tyler hear me?”

Lauren could see the shock on her friend's face. “Of course he did,” she answered.

“How was I supposed to know that it was going to be on speakerphone?” Rachel defended.

“Well it was, and he heard everything.”

“That's not so bad, at least he got the heads up and knows how to act right tonight,” Rachel teased.

“Oh please,” Lauren responded, rolling her eyes.

“Where is he anyway?” Rachel asked, scanning the room to get a glimpse of him.

“Not here obviously,” Lauren said, picking the phone up from the dresser.

“He is coming straight from a meeting I guess. He just asked me to get ready for dinner,” she added.

“Oh okay. Have you texted Jacob yet about the…”

The knock on the door caught her attention.

“Hold on. Someone's at the door. It's probably Mr Gray. I gotta go.”

“Alright, alright. Make sure to spread those legs in that slit,” Rachel teased.

Lauren hung up before she could even finish yapping.

Her hand flew straight to the dress. Straightening the invisible wrinkles as she walked towards the door.
