Chapter 92: Angel's Obsession Revealed
I put my hand to my mouth, shocked by your revelation. I vividly recall the time when our dog went missing; Angel was only eight or nine years old back then.
"He buried the dog and bought another one for you! He always had to interfere and ruin everything between us!" - Angel's gaze was filled with contempt.
"Ruin?"
"Yes. You were supposed to be just my friend, my sister, my accomplice!"
I had always sensed that Angel was jealous of me and bossy, but I could never have imagined she was obsessed.
"I was happy when you said you didn't want any more pets." - A psychotic smile formed on her face.
"Angel... I'm speechless. Was the break-in at our house planned by you?" - I reflected on her revelations until arriving at this conclusion.
"No... Ethan didn't take the rejection of our marriage well. If he couldn't have me, then no one else could! The assault on the mansion was to kill me and punish Bruce."
"But how did you survive?"
"After ensuring your protection, because I couldn't bear the thought of losing you... I took a gun from daddy's office and ventured into the woods where the henchmen came from. Ethan wanted to kill me personally, so they took me alive to him. When I found him, I smiled..."
POV: ANGEL
"Hello, Mon Amour... I missed you so much!" - She smiled ecstatically at his attack on the mansion.
He returned with a devilish smile, cold and eerie, that I had always admired.
"My dear Angel!"
"I was a little upset with your invitation being so... brutal. I thought you saved that for more intimate occasions!" - I amused myself with the whole situation; his wickedness excited me.
"Hmm, you should know that you belong to me!"
"And I want to belong, Mon Amour."
Ethan pondered my responses and ordered, "Release her, proceed."
"My father is a foolish old man who doesn't listen to me. I want to be all yours!" - I confessed eagerly.
He remained silent, lost in thought.
"Did he tell you to say that?"
"That old man would rather die than hand me over to you!" - I chuckled.
"So be it!"
"Will you start a fight with France just to have me?"
I found the idea thrilling; he seemed to realize it and held my cheek tightly, squeezing it.
"I would kill anyone and everyone to have what I want!" - I released my face, now red from his strong grip. - "But I'm not convinced of your intentions, and you know... You're not all that, I think you're not worth the effort!"
These words infuriated me. That's when I had the brilliant idea to prove my worth.
"I have a servant who looks very much like me, same age and size. Bring her to me, I'll show you what I'm capable of!"
"What's your plan?"
"We can kill her and make her unrecognizable so my father thinks it's me who's dead. We'll kill her parents so they don't suspect anything!"
Ethan smiled at the idea.
"What a naughty girl!" - His gaze was malicious. - "Bring the girl stealthily!"
"There's an attic in the house, they're hiding there!" - I directed his followers.
It didn't take long to bring her. The girl was crying, terrified, trembling with blood splatters on her clothes.
"The blood?" - Ethan inquired, looking at her disdainfully.
"It's from her parents." - His henchman replied, laughing. The girl trembled more and cried desperately.
"Show me what you're capable of!" - Ethan approached me and handed me a knife.
"I thought you were going to kill her." - I responded, slightly intrigued.
"I don't need weak people by my side." - His voice was sharp and authoritative.
The bastard! He called me weak. Can you believe this audacity?!
I approached the girl.
"No, please, Mrs. Angel, please... NO!"
Then I stabbed her in the stomach, hands, and arms as she tried to defend herself. The girl screamed and cried in desperation.
I held her face, so similar to mine, but I was unique, and this cheap copy didn't deserve any resemblance to me! I cut her entire face, making her unrecognizable...
Ethan looked on admiringly at my actions. The girl was still semi-conscious, bleeding.
"Do you have dogs?" - I asked, thinking about the next steps.
"Of course, we brought some to play. What's your plan?"
I looked at the girl in despair, unable to even cry, only groaning in pain on the floor.
"Feed this garbage to the dogs, remove her dental arch, and let's go!" - I ordered, finally.
The henchmen brought the dogs, and I heard the agonizing sound of my first victim's screams.
POV: DAVINA
I am deeply shocked by what you've just revealed. It seems she was just as much of a psychopath as Ethan, which makes the situation even more disturbing. How did I never see this before?
"Angel... so why are you with Filipe? Where were you when Ethan died?" I inquired, seeking a better understanding of their connection and her absence during that crucial moment.
She lets out a sinister laugh before responding.
"Ethan had a remarkable way of embracing his own malevolence. He loved every true facet of me, or at least that's what I thought. However, he could never handle my other side, the part he couldn't accept. This gradually became a problem. He didn't want a fellow hunter by his side; in reality, he desired someone to hunt, a prey under his control."
"But how did you and Filipe get involved in this?" I asked, intrigued by Filipe's role in this story, especially considering his fear of his own father.
"Filipe saw me being carried by Ethan after that attack, covered in blood. He fell right into my trap. It was easy to make him believe that Dom, my master, forced me to act that way, threatening to kill all of you if I didn't obey. Of course, that idiot believed it!"
