Chapter 602 Have sex
Chapter 602 Have sex
Emily couldn't figure out why Ethan and Amy kept popping back into her life like stubborn ghosts.
As she turned on her heel, leaving only a cold silhouette behind, Nick wiped the sweat from his forehead and cautiously approached Curtis.
Curtis sighed, clearly frustrated. "Didn't we agree I'd handle the external stuff and you'd take care of the internal? Why haven't you dealt with the rumors about Ms. Watson? What's the PR department even doing? Are their brains just for show?"
It was the first time Nick had heard Curtis swear. He stared wide-eyed, stammering, "Curtis..."
Curtis lightly tapped Nick on the head, his voice back to its usual sternness. "Go handle it now. Ms. Watson is forgiving, but that doesn't mean she'll overlook your mistakes every time."
"Yes," Nick nodded quickly, though he was puzzled. Before Curtis arrived, he had been doing his job just fine. But now, with Curtis around, he felt clumsy and incompetent.
"Also, make sure the PR team keeps an eye on any news about Ethan and Amy. If they mention Ms. Watson, get it off the trending list."
"Yes." Nick nodded like a bobblehead, responding repeatedly.
"Ms. Watson is going to Yaxport, and the Reynolds siblings will likely host her. Make sure to manage their appearances and conversations carefully. We can't afford any compromising photos. The Watson and Lawson families are merging, and even a minor scandal could affect their stock prices."
After giving his instructions, Curtis handed Nick a tablet and quickly followed Emily.
Nick watched Curtis's retreating figure, feeling a cold sweat on his back.
He couldn't imagine what kind of extraordinary man Vincent must have been to have such a capable assistant. Compared to Curtis, Nick felt like an underperforming student, out of place in the team.
Mason, standing nearby, tilted his head with a mocking smile. Nick straightened his tie and turned to Mason. "Did you hear what Curtis said?"
Mason flicked his braid dismissively. "Who are you trying to scare?"
Nick and Mason had grown up together, always competing and never backing down. Mason snorted and walked past Nick into the security checkpoint.
Nick's face turned red. He scratched his head, took a deep breath, and then unleashed a tirade at the PR manager on the other end of the phone.
The Watson Group's digital technology park in Yaxport was massive, covering over 800,000 square feet. It was a hub for top tech talent and cutting-edge equipment, a crucial part of the Watson Group's future strategy.
Upon arriving at the park, Emily threw herself into the inspection, meticulously checking each project's progress and engaging deeply with the technical staff, missing no detail.
By the end of the day, Emily was exhausted. She dragged herself back to the hotel, her steps heavy.
As she entered her room and bent down to take off her shoes, she suddenly felt strong hands wrap around her waist.
Emily's heart raced. Instinctively, she grabbed a high heel from the floor and swung it at the intruder.
With a loud smack, the shoe was caught by a large hand. A deep, familiar voice whispered in her ear, "Emily, it's me."
Emily froze, turning in disbelief. Seeing Vincent's familiar face, her eyes widened in shock.
"What are you doing here?" Her voice trembled. She never expected Vincent to be here.
Vincent noticed the lack of joy in Emily's shocked expression, feeling a pang of disappointment and irritation.
He cupped the back of her head, pulling her close to his chest, and showered her face and neck with fervent kisses.
Emily instinctively struggled, trying to push Vincent away, but his passionate assault left her weak and helpless.
In that moment, Emily felt like the woman who used to melt with just one kiss from Vincent.
Vincent lifted her off the ground, pressing her against the wall, his hands roaming over her waist and hips.
Emily's face flushed, her breath quickened, and her eyes glistened with a mix of defiance and desire.
Vincent's long kiss left stubborn tears clinging to Emily's lashes.
He released her, his hand moving to her collarbone, his voice low and expectant. "Did you miss me?"
Emily shook her head stubbornly, unwilling to show her feelings.
Vincent's heart tightened. He leaned in to mark her collarbone, wanting to assert his claim.
But Emily quickly pushed his chin away, stopping him. "No."
"No? You're rejecting me! For Jett? Are you saving yourself for him?" Vincent's eyes narrowed dangerously, his grip on her jaw tightening.
Emily smiled enigmatically. "I thought we had an understanding."
"You tell everyone Vincent Phillips is Elizabeth's husband, and as the Watson Group's heir, I have responsibilities."
"So Jett is just my husband in a business arrangement. I won't have any emotional ties with him, just like you say, Elizabeth is your sister."
"That's different," Vincent growled softly, his voice laced with suppressed anger.
Emily tilted her head, looking at Vincent's furious expression. "How is it different? I promise I won't sleep with him."
Vincent's hand slid from her jaw to her neck, his eyes fixed on her. "You still want to sleep with him?"
Emily even tilted her head back slightly, exposing her swan-like neck to Vincent, showing no fear of his lion-like growl or threats.
