Chapter 25

TYLER’S POV

I found a figure seated close to my bed when i finally some up, it was a long sleep and since the doctors’s had recommended premium rest, i took it seriously. I had nightmares from times when i saw Lena jump from that bridge and i was always worried that if i wasn't around her, she was going to repeat the same thing all over again. No one was going to care for her especially not Richard when all he seemed to care about was her money and what she had to offer him, or better put what her family could offer.

I looked at Lena closely trying to make sure i wasn't hallucinating in any way and turned out that i wasn't, what i could understand was why she was in my room that early or how she had gotten in. My gatekeeper was away and the only person that had access to my passcodes was myself.

“I know you are freakung out but i didn't have any other place to be, i wanted to try and wait things out but u was feeling all choked up and Richard would do anything to make sure i am uncomfortable. None of this is your business, that i am aware of, but i also want you to understand that you're the only one asides from Mrs Paxton that had shown me kindness, and i feel at peace whenever I'm with you.”

I stared at her as she gave out her perfect speech and i was lost at the way she spoke. I was in total awe for the next few minutes and i forgot i was still comfused about the fact she was in there without a pass.

“Your space is mine Lena, i am just worried about how you were able to get it. Either you visited the company that built my house or you broke it open. I guess its not the first knowing now the guy who built that code has passed away, and i doubt you'll be able to go faraway to find his company with Richard on your tail. Please tell me you didn't break my door Lena.” my heart rode fast, i didn't understand if it was the fear that she had a really ruined my door or maybe it was the fact that she was there, radiating and showing me pure and untouched beauty.

“I didn't break your door, surely i know it would have been stupid of me to actually break your door, i wanted to make sure you were not disturbed during your door and breaking your code would have woken you up i presume so what i did was different”

“And why exactly are you hoarding back what you've done exactly, what didn't you you do Lena?”

Her eyes shone at me, exhausted obviously but they still looked cute, she was the type of girl you wanted to put everything on the line for. She coyly turned her face away from me and stared at the window, i didn't take hint initially but seeing the window blinds open it suddenly clicked.

“Hell no Lene, you didn't take such risk now did you?”

“Oh i did, and i don't regret it, at least i got to watch your sleep, even if i have a fucked up sleep routine.”

“You can climb a window?, just how much are you capable of doing, you are with child for fucks sake.”

“The Child would at least learn how to switch and take extreme measures whenever it comes in face with problems, because i am doing all of this to save it. I learnt how to climb a fence when i was 10, Luna and i used to enjoy going over the walls to play with the other kids since we were never granted really freedom to actually leave the house. Our mother was always paranoid acting like someone was coming to steal us or she had something with us to protect. So we were provided with everything we needed. But you know no matter of exposure was going to hold us, Luna got a taste of freedom and chose to misuse it, while i was the same.”

“You would like for me to believe that you had no form of teenage delinquency? Its hard to believe but why exactly did you remain normal, i mean normal is boring right?”

Her head fell in sadness and she looked back the wall staring at it like she was trying to pick up a piece of information from it. I figured that asking about her family was probably stupid of me and i should have done thar but couldn't hold back especially after i knew that she was never going back there, i needed to know just how despicable they were to leave her with Richard.

“I am pretty much the slave who doesn't have a say in the family or the family business. I am merely an item and i am expected to do whatever my parents ask of me. Things were not always like that but they decided to make sure life became a living hell, and i still don't know why.”

“So you are saying they know about everything you are going through? And yet they would rather allow you die or rot here?”

“You are right, like hell they even tried to take my i den…”

She suddenly held back the statement.

“What were you going to say love?”

“Nothing important Tyler, i just think they believe this baby is going to help smoothen things between myself and Richard and they feel i am not trying to make this work at all.”

“And do you believe that?, that maybe this baby is the answer you guys need and its only a matter of time before you get Richard where you want?”

She scoffed and shook her head.

“Not even Mrs paxton believes that Richard soul can be saved by this tiny human inside of me and I'll be a fool to believe that it can.”

“Then whats your plan? Because the minute Richard knows you are gone he is going to send out a search party for you and my place is definitely the first area he will check after all he already suspects that something is between us.”

“I know Tyler and i am sorry, really am, i don't want to inconvenience you in anyway but sadly its my only choice, i have to remain sane if i am going to bring this baby out alive.”

“I understand you Lena, and you know you are welcome anytime, but i just don't want him hurting you or laying his filthy hands on you okay?, so i will let you stay here right now, and i should call Mrs paxton to get the next line of action. While we are at it, let me make you something for breakfast. Is that fine?”

“Yes Tyle, i would really love that. Sorry about the inconvenience once again, its never going to repeat itself.”

“Oh it can repeat itself as many times as possible, but make sure you are safe at all times.”

I walked down the stairs to quickly whip something for breakfast for her, i needed to fix her a light meql since she was pregnant and basically everything irritated them at this stage. My kitchen was an hopeless advantage as ibtriex to turn and i turn every single space to find the right ingredients.

I finally gave up after a while and settled for breads and bacons with eggs. I placed it all on a tray when it was ready, and i quickly went up to serve her. She was fast asleep like a baby when iI got upstairs and she was even prettier in her sleep. I wanted to kill Richard for treating such an innocent soul in such a crappy manner.

I gave her a light tap and she mumbled some words before getting up to accept the food i gave her.

“Thanks Ty, sorry i slept off on your bed, i didn't have much sleep last night.”

“Yes i am aware of that, i can see it in your eyes, you could quickly eat and sleep back if you want.”

She nodded and shoved the bread in her mouth, i could tell she hadn't been eating well either and it hurt me.

“Habe you spoken to Mrs pasxton?, is Richard already throwing a tantrum?”

“No he's not, my door would have been brought down if he was by now, i will speak to MRS paxton okay? You should worry about a single thing, everything will be fine and it will all fall into perfect piece okay?”

“If that's what you believe then fine, i am really exhausted from the motivational talks i get from you and Mrs paxton these days, i don't think you guys actually believe the things you say to me.”

“Sorty to break it to you but i actually do, with me by yourself you will get through this stuff, and your child will be safe too.”

“You know i am worried, this child will come to realize that it's father is a monster that never treated me right or who knows, he could even grow into a worse Richard.”

“Now you are surrounding your thoughts with negativity, that's something i don't want, the child uwll be fine., i will make sure of it, even if its the last thing i do on my time on earth.

“You are far too kind Ty, i wish i met you first….”
