Chapter 26: Finding out the truth

Ryan walked into Scott's office without permission. His eyes looked around the room before stopping right at the figure of Scott, who was busy working. Scott lifted his face, looking puzzled at his cousin, who appeared to be silent without saying a word. He also asked, "What's wrong with you?"

"I met Steve at the hospital," Ryan said with a puzzled look. Scott was almost stunned. Fortunately, he soon changed it flat. He remembered that this morning Steve sent word that Lily had just given birth. Surely only he knows.

"Oh, yeah? Then? asks Scott, pretending not to know. He continued his work while listening to Ryan's babbling.

"He went into the delivery room. She's carrying baby gear. I almost would have caught him if Papa hadn't called me," Ryan regretted.

Scott breathed a sigh of relief. Slowly, he glanced at Ryan, who was still standing in front of him, and rubbed his chin. He was curious about what he saw in the hospital. Ryan was cunning; he must have used every means to find out who Steve met.

"It could have been his friend," Scott chirps.

"No. I can't believe it; I'm sure it has something to do with Steve's girlfriend or wife," Ryan said.

Exactly what Scott had in mind. Ryan is cunning and smart. He will always be curious about what he sees. But it's strange why he never wondered what his wife was doing out there.

Scott chose to remain silent. He stared into Ryan's eyes. Thirst filled his throat, and he took a sip of his drink. He turned his head and asked Ryan what he was talking about. "You mean?"

"Lily ran off with Steve, while Steve was with another woman. Doesn't that mean Lily was betrayed? Ask Ryan who Scott thinks he is.

Stupid Ryan, rutuk Scott. He didn't know if the one Steve was visiting was his ex-wife or if the child was his. Scott nodded his head slowly. Ryan doesn't seem to have any kids yet.

"Doesn't that mean you care about Lily? I mean, what are you worried about? asks Scott, who is considered by Ryan. In his heart, he confirmed Scott's intentions, but he still felt curious about Steve. What is it really hiding?

"No, not that I care. It's just a pity that Lily has to suffer for choosing the wrong man," Ryan said.

Scott nodded slowly. He threw a roll of paper right at Ryan's handsome face. His cousin did not accept; he returned Scott's throw, only to find that the man was pointing at the sign on his desk.

"Have you ever seen a mirror? asked Scott. Ryan frowned, trying to digest Scott's words.

"Often. I always look in the mirror after taking a shower."

"You can't lie to Sarah. "Go back to your room," Scott said. Ryan just banged his shoulder and walked away from Scott's room.

Turning to make sure Ryan was gone, Scott stroked his chest, pounding up and down. He immediately contacted Steve, who he said was still in the hospital. This is a serious situation. It is possible that Ryan will return to the hospital to find out who the woman was who was visited by Steve.

"Steve, be careful."

"Why? What is caution?"

"Ryan saw you at the hospital, and he followed you to your room. He almost got in. Luckily, his father called."

"Then what do I do?" Steve sounded confused.

"Quickly move or keep watch around the room."

"All right. Thanks for the information."

Steve hung up the call. His eyes were fixed on Lily, who was still busy chewing her food. He couldn't bear to say it. Slowly, he sat beside Lily's bed and said,Your ex-husband saw me come into this room," Steve said, which made Lily and Sandy widen their eyes in surprise.

Lily stopped chewing her food. His gaze turned to Sandy, who rubbed his back as if to say everything would be fine.

"Are we going home today?" Steve shook his head. "Then?"

"Ask the doctor if you can change rooms. Really, Ryan is a little cunning and full of tricks," Steve emphasized.

"I obey you."

Ryan still wasn't sure who Steve was looking at this morning. To make sure, he went back to the hospital. In the middle of the journey, his mind was still raging. He was so angry that he didn't want to hurt Lily a second time.

"Ah, why should I bother taking care of my own ex-wife?" Ryan muttered in the car that drove him to the hospital grounds.

Ryan walked slowly into the room to find his ex-wife's delivery room. Again and again, he tapped himself on the chin, trying to remember where the room was. He seemed to have run out of ideas and ways to find Lily.

"It looks like this room. I remember, "Ryan's heart skipped a beat. He promised that he would scold Bagas if he had betrayed Lily. Even though she didn't like it, Lily was already considered like her own sister.

Klekk

Ryan opened the door. Slowly, he pushed the door, and the first sight was a mother breastfeeding her husband.

"Who are you?" Ryan's eyes widened. He shook his head in fear.

"I, Ryan, want to find my friend, whose name is Steve."

"Nothing. You have the wrong room."

Brakk

"But just now my friend came into this room," said Ryan, who was ready to glare.

"There is no one. Maybe you're tired. Nice to meet you." The man held out his hand to Ryan.

"No, I'm not tired."

After the expulsion scene, Ryan was pensive in front of the room he had entered earlier. He picked up the phone and looked for a number that he thought might help him.

"Hello, Uncle Bob. Can you find out who's in Room 102 at your son's hospital? I think there's something wrong with the previous residents." Ryan walked back and forth around the room while calling his uncle, who had access to the big hospital. "I saw Lily last night, and today it wasn't her who was there."

"Uncle will ask Judith," Bob answered on the other end of the phone.

"Thank you, Uncle. I owe you one."
