Chapter 869: Achieving the Goal

Before Robbie could finish speaking, he nodded earnestly, looking sincerely at Samuel.

“Dad, over the years, how have you treated me? I know it very clearly.”

“If you didn’t treat me well, I wouldn’t be your only son, and you wouldn’t have put so much effort into raising me. So, as your son, I understand all these things very well.”

“But… if what you’re saying is true, and they don’t want to sell me…”

He looked solemnly at Samuel, extremely serious.

“Then I should go and see them. After all, they are also parents to a child.”

“But I can promise you, I will always be your son. I’m just going to meet them, and I definitely won’t stay there.”

He then turned to Freya.

“By seniority, you should be my sister.”

“But I hope you can understand me. My adoptive father, my father, put a lot of effort into raising me. I can’t leave him.”

Freya’s eyes reddened, and she was sobbing uncontrollably.

After hesitating for a moment, she gathered herself.

“I understand why you’re making this choice. Ideally, I’d want my brother to return to our family, but I can’t be that selfish.”

“Indeed, Samuel put a lot of effort into raising you, so we will respect your decision.”

“As for how to discuss things with my father, we can sit down and talk about it together. He is a reasonable person and won’t make things difficult for you because of this.”

With that, Robbie looked at Samuel.

“Dad, what do you think?”

For a moment, all discussions ceased.

Everyone’s gaze fell on Samuel, visibly tense.

After a moment of contemplation, Samuel sighed helplessly.

He smiled bitterly, “Since you all have said this, I really have no other choice.”

His eyes were red, but he looked at Robbie with deep reluctance.

“I agree for you to go. If you really don’t want to come back, I won’t force you.”

Robbie laughed.

“Dad, how can you say that?”

“I said I’m your son. Even if I go, I will come back. You can rest assured, okay?”

His tone was patient.

Samuel turned away, pretending not to care much about the matter.

Tiffany glanced at the situation, noticing the atmosphere was worsening.

She seized the opportunity and gently nudged Leon.

Leon immediately understood and quickly smiled, “Samuel, we’re sorry about today’s incident, but we genuinely want to cooperate with you.”

“If we weren’t serious, we wouldn’t have said all that. This is a plan I’ve already made. If you can handle this well, we can indeed cooperate.”

“And… since Robbie plans to come back, why not let him take charge? When he returns from abroad, we can have a deep exchange and cooperation. How about that?”

Samuel’s eyes lit up. Though he was initially displeased, hearing this news gave him hope.

He suspiciously stared at Leon, not fully convinced.

“What you’re saying, I can only half-believe now. Is it true or not? Don’t deceive me like this.”

“I really hope it’s true, but I’m not a fool.”

Leon took out his phone, “If you don’t believe me, I can have someone bring a contract over right now. We can sign it to confirm that what we’re saying is true.”

Albert quickly added, “I’m married to Freya now, so you could say I’m your brother-in-law. If you need help, I’m certainly willing to assist. Our company can cooperate with yours, which would be beneficial for everyone.”

“Of course, in cooperation, there’s no room for hesitation. I hope you can do things well, making our collaboration smoother.”

Samuel’s previously dull eyes brightened instantly.

He excitedly looked at Robbie, seeing hope.

“Robbie, what do you think?”

“If this works out, you can inherit the family business directly. You’ve always said it’s a shame our business isn’t thriving. You were young then, and many things couldn’t be handed to you.”

“Now you have the opportunity. Are you willing?”

His face showed visible tension.

But Robbie agreed without hesitation.

“You’ve said it. I’ve always wanted to inherit the family business and make it flourish. If I have the chance, of course, I’m willing.”

With these words, Samuel clapped his hands in approval, agreeing without hesitation.

“Since that’s the case, I reluctantly agree for him to leave with you, but he must return at the agreed time. I hope you understand my feelings in this situation.”

Freya nodded, and the group managed to discuss and settle the matter, sitting down to eat and chat about cooperation.

After dinner, Leon mentioned leaving.

Samuel didn’t insist on them staying.

But before leaving, he agreed on a specific time with Robbie, then drove away.

Just getting into the car, Freya’s eyes reddened again, and she couldn’t help but express her gratitude, “Tiffany, Mr. Cooper, thank you so much. Without your help, I wouldn’t know how to resolve this, nor when I’d find my brother.”

“Now I understand how magical and mysterious snowmen are. We were very young then, and I have few memories, but seeing him made me want to cry.”

Albert tenderly held her, his eyes full of compassion.

Tiffany turned around from the passenger seat, smiling.

“Alright, alright, everything is settled now. Can you relax?”
