Chapter 153 Storm Boundary

Chapter 153 Storm Boundary

The related work was progressing in an orderly manner, and in her review report, Evelyn proposed a psychological control model for commanding under high-pressure environments.

This advanced proposal was adopted by multiple parties and became the center of everyone's attention.

But even so, Evelyn wasn't affected by all this. Instead, she picked up her paintbrush again, wanting to create a painting about the previous rescue operation.

"Why did you suddenly think of this?"

After learning about it, Arthur asked with some curiosity.

Evelyn calmly took out her brushes and paints, and while mixing colors, she smiled and replied, "This experience was actually quite rare. When we leave here, all we'll have left are memories. I want to leave something behind besides just memories, as a keepsake."

She rarely had the chance to take part in group activities with Arthur and their four children.

It was partly because work was too busy to spare enough time, and partly because their status was quite special - they would draw attention wherever they went, which made ordinary family days lose their original meaning.

This time at the base, isolated from the outside noise, they could calm down and feel each other's presence, accompany the children as they grew, and watch all four kids change bit by bit during training.

For Evelyn, this was an incredibly precious experience that money couldn't buy.

Her thoughts were very delicate, with an artist's unique sense of beauty and perspective. Arthur believed she could create a beautiful and unique painting.

But more than great technique, he felt what mattered most was the sincere emotion Evelyn put into her work.

She wasn't just trying to record an event, but also wanted to capture the feelings and insights of that moment.

For an artist, this was something crucial.

Once Evelyn started creating, she easily forgot to eat and sleep, sitting alone by the easel, painting stroke by stroke, even forgetting about time.

The four children were very thoughtful and didn't disturb her. Instead, they found Theodore, wanting to strengthen their training.

"Compared to Mommy, we're so far behind, and Mommy keeps learning and proposing new theories and methods. We can't fall behind!"

"Yeah, Mommy's making progress, so how can we hold her back? We must make up for our shortcomings!"

The children raised their hands with fighting spirit, making Theodore smile.

He seemed to see Evelyn's shadow in all four children - each one tough and serious.

"Alright, since you have this idea, I'll help you. But during training, no complaining about how hard or tiring it is."

Theodore agreed readily and smiled faintly. "My requirements are much stricter than other instructors. If you can't keep up and want to quit halfway, I won't allow it."

The children's hearts jumped slightly, but they quickly clenched their fists and nodded firmly.

As long as they could improve, any amount of hard work didn't matter. Hadn't Mommy walked this path step by step, too?

Evelyn painted for over a week. Except for eating and sleeping, all her time went into painting, and she finally completed the work.

She let out a long breath, looking at the large canvas before her, a sense of satisfaction welling up in her heart.

"Finished?"

Arthur heard her and walked over, standing beside her. The next second, he was shocked by the work on the canvas.

The entire piece used bold strokes, combining details with the overall picture, depicting the dangerous situation during their mountain rescue.

Under thunder and rain, they still threw themselves into the rescue without hesitation. Even though they were as small as a tiny boat in nature, nothing could stop them from moving forward.

"Evelyn," Arthur was absorbed in the painting, unable to come back to his senses for a long time. "This painting is really amazing!"

He couldn't even think of what words to use to describe it, because no matter what words he used, they seemed plain and couldn't fully express how good it was.

"I'm calling it Storm's Edge," Evelyn smiled and said. "I'll use it for a charity exhibition, so more people can see this painting and learn about the base's rescue operations."

Arthur supported this decision wholeheartedly. After all, the more people who could appreciate Evelyn's painting, the more meaningful it would become.

When Evelyn left the easel and walked out of the room, she discovered that the children had also changed, one by one.

All four children looked more energetic and had improved quite a bit in their respective areas of strength.

"You guys are so amazing!"

Evelyn watched their training results with some surprise and couldn't help praising them, "I haven't seen you for just a few days, and you've made such great progress!"

The children also proudly raised their heads, looking at her with joy on their faces. "We learned from you. Since you are so excellent, we don't dare slack off!"

"Mommy, Daddy said your painting this time is really beautiful. I want to see it too!"

"Me too, me too! You haven't trained with us for over a week. I miss you so much!"

The children spoke one after another.

Evelyn smiled and patted their heads. "Okay, okay, I will take you to see it. And to praise you, tomorrow I will train with you!"

The four children jumped for joy and followed Evelyn back to the room.

Seeing Evelyn's painting with their own eyes, the children froze for a moment, shocked by the grand scene, unable to say a word for a long time.

"Mommy."

Ella, the most thoughtful one, pulled Evelyn's hand and leaned into her arms, saying seriously, "You worked so hard."

Whether it was the hard work of painting this piece or the hardships experienced during the rescue, it all deserved such comfort.

She understood Evelyn's emotions from the painting and was moved, unable to help, wanting to hug Evelyn.

Evelyn's heart softened. She bent down to hold Ella, a smile on her lips.

The children were always so thoughtful, sometimes even surprising her. Art could often break through the boundaries of age, gender, and profession, allowing the quickest heart-to-heart communication between creator and audience.

She felt she had achieved this and had no other regrets.

The other children also hugged her. Arthur watched this warm scene, unable to stop the smile on his face.

He felt he was so lucky to have found a life partner and to have such lovely and well-behaved children.
