Chapter 110

Ambrosia POV:

Chaos. Pure chaos was happening and I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to get this under control. Anytime we think we are more just keep coming.

“How many more?!” I shouted as I pulled my siphon out of a dead wolf. My breathing was hard as I looked around.

“I don’t even know. They keep coming!” Xander shouted back. He took a team with him while some stayed back with me. No matter how hard we fought, a small part of me started to lose hope.  I heard a loud crack of thunder and I whipped my head around trying to see what was going on.

“The wolves!” Jackson shouted at me. I still couldn’t see a damn thing with everything going on.

“Help is on the way. Hang tight.” Alleys voice rang out in my head. The ground under me started to shake and out of the corner of my eye I saw wolves barreling towards us. I took a step back, Jackson and Xander were at my side in the blink of an eye. We stood in place as the new wolves and the rogues clashed in the middle. It was a sound I had never heard before in my life.

“Where did these ones come from?” Xander asked breathlessly.

“From Atheas realm. Leia and Brandon must have called to them.” I answered.

“Let’s get back to Alley. Pythia and her mother are fighting.” Jackson whispered. I tilted my head and looked at the sight before me. I wanted to stay and help, but with the additional wolves we were already getting the upper hand.

“Some are trying to retreat.” I muttered. Before I could take a step forward, Xander held his arm out.

“They won’t get far.” He smirked.

“No, they won’t.” I whispered. I held my siphon tight as I slammed it into the ground. A wave of electricity blew through me and into the ground, shocking them on the spot. I went to take a step forward when I was thrown to the side. A set of arms wrapped around me as we clashed to the ground. I raised my head and looked to see Jackson had shifted and was now standing over me. Xander laid a few feet away unconscious.

“Xander!” I yelled. He didn’t even flinch. I ran forward, covering him with my own body when a set of rouges started barrelling towards us. Jackson was quicker meeting both of them head on. I looked down at Xander,

“Come on brother, it’s time to wake up.” I said shaking him. He didn’t move at first.

“Wake up!” I yelled slapping him across the face. His eyes sprung open as he looked around. I jumped to my feet, running towards Jackson. I knew he was capable of taking them on, but I was not going to let him do it alone. Just as one started sneaking up from behind I pulled my arm back throwing my siphon as hard as I could. It landed on its side and took him to the ground. I ran forward snatching my siphon out. I looked around, anger raging through me.

“ENOUGH!” I screamed slamming my siphon into the ground electrocuting all the wolves trying to attack us. Their bodies shook violently before a few of them exploded. I was done with this fight. I was done letting them get the upper hand. We needed to get to Pythia and if we kept fighting here we never would be able to. All the wolves stopped and looked at me.

“We need to get to the others, now!” I yelled out. I turned to see Xander looking at me,

“You couldn’t have done that to begin with?” Xander smiled.

“You know I like a good fight.” I chuckled. I didn’t want to take the easy way out. I had never intended to use that much force, but it needed to end. I wanted my kids home with me and I wanted this all to end. We were so close to living a free and happy life.

“Ambrosia! We could use some assistance.” Alleys voice shrieked out. Something must have happened. I didn’t even need to look around to know everyone else was running towards the main field. As we ran around the corner I could see Pythia and her mother inside of some sort of bubble. I was confused for a moment.

“What is that?” I asked.

“I don’t know. The elements can’t reach Pythia in there.” Alley whispered.

“What do you mean they can’t reach her?” I asked turning to look at her. Fear was evident on her face.

“Pam did something, she surrounded them with that. I was sending spirit to her to strengthen her and now I can’t.” Alley croaked. My eyes widened as I looked at the two locked into a fight to the death.

“Alley.. Do something.” Tye begged. He was on his knees staring at her.

“She’s got this.” I whispered. I knew she did. She was stronger than she realized, she just needed to remember that.

“Where is Natalie? Maybe she will know how to break that up.” Xander said.

“She is already working on it. Where is Lillith?” Jackson asked.

“I’m here. I know what to do.” Lilith said, carving something into the ground. She was whispering something in Italian that I couldn’t really make out. She was laying different herbs out as she moved. It was pretty fascinating to see. She looked up once and raised her hand before she slammed it back into the ground. I saw a shred of light work it’s way towards Pythia and her mother before the ground under them started to rise and explode. They were thrown in different directions, but the bubble around them evaporated.

“What was that?” I asked. I looked down to see that Lilliths body was swaying. Xander caught her before she hit the ground. Pam got to her feet first. Her eyes shifted towards us before she looked for Pythia. She didn’t even care that we were now all watching her. She didn’t even care that she was the last person on her side left. Her entire focus was on Pythia and killing her. I looked over at Alley to see that her eyes were fully white now. I knew exactly what she was doing. Pythia sat up before she jumped to her feet. She had that look on her face that told me she was about to use the last of her energy to kill her mother.

“You can do this. You are stronger than you know. Kill her.” I said through the link. She didn’t respond, she didn’t even look our way, but by the way her spine straightened I knew she heard me. She was tapping into a side of her that she had locked away. This was a fight to the death and Pythia had so much to live for and that is what makes her so dangerous.
