Chapter 220 So wicked
Chapter 220 So wicked
"Now let's get you dressed up in the dressing room," Margaret ushered me to the back of the store, where they had massive dressing rooms set up. There was even a separate section for women trying on wedding dresses. "Call me if you need any help dear,"
As I looked at the wall of blue dresses lined up before me, I began to feel overwhelmed. The price tag on each dress had too many zeroes, and I had no idea which one Andrey Volkov would like. After all, I was picking up a dress for him , as the prize on his arm for a night. I wanted to look good for him while I was at his side.
He paid good money to have me, and I didn't want to disappoint him.
However, an hour passed and I still hadn't decided. The minutes ticked by, and I worried about leaving Antonio in the street waiting for me. But none of the dresses felt right, or I was unsure of the shade of blue. Margaret kept bringing options, and I was amazed that she hadn't run out yet.
She was too eager to please me, and each time I walked out in a blue garment with a frown on my face, she was jumping up and running off to find the next dress.
"I'm sorry, I'm making this so difficult. I just can't seem to make a decision. There are too many options," I sank down in the eggshell tufted couch in the center of the dressing room and put my head in my palms.
"Don't worry, we still have a few options to go through," Margaret started to reassure me.
"Elena,"
The sound of that voice instantly made my blood go cold and fire bloomed between my legs at the same time. My head whipped up just in time to see Andrey Volkov turn around the corner.
The air around him seemed to shift. It always did. It was heavy, almost electric , a weight that pressed down on the room, commanding it to stillness. His presence alone made the atmosphere change, like the air before a storm.
"Sir, this is a private consultation," Margaret stood up, holding her hands up to shoo Andrey away.
"It's alright, it's his Gala I'm getting a dress for," I chuckled.
She looked between us for a second before relaxing and giving in. "Alright. Well, I suppose you can give us some more direction on the theme. We're trying to narrow down the color," Margaret spoke again, but Andrey didn’t even look at her.
His eyes narrowed in on me, and they immediately turned dark , that same deep, unreadable darkness that always made me shiver.
It made a shiver race down my spine.
"Thanks for the help, but I think I will just take it over from here. Is that alright?"
I didn’t miss the husky tone in his voice. Even Margaret seemed swayed by him in that moment as if his very words carried a command.
"Are you okay here?" she asked.
I nodded my head in response but without breaking eye contact with Andrey Volkov.
"Yell if you need me then," she spoke, then left the dressing room area and took all the air with her.
Leaving me alone with Andrey Volkov and all the fire in his eyes.
The silence between us pulsed like a heartbeat. I could hear my own too loudly thudding so hard I thought he might hear it.
"Sorry, I didn't think it would take so long," I apologized instantly. "I wanted to get back to the house before you did. Shopping is a bit much for me," I went on.
He stepped forward without talking, and I could have sworn the lights got lower as he brought the darkness with him. It wasn’t the kind of darkness that scared me , it was the kind that made my breath hitch and my skin tingle.
"I can show you all the dresses if you would like a say in what I wear," I nearly fumbled over half of my words as I rushed them out.
"Yes. Show me."
His first words to me since this morning were enough to send my heart skittering along the floor. His voice was deep, rough like gravel mixed with velvet. There was something primal in the way he said it.
I picked up the layers of the lace gown I was currently in and opened the door to the dressing room with everything I had tried on in the past hour and the options I hadn't gotten to yet.
No sooner had the door shut behind us than Andrey Volkov had his hands on my body. His warm palms were on my bare shoulders and his hot mouth fell on my neck.
My heart instantly jumped from the floor and into my throat.
"Andrey," I gasped with surprise, and in the next seconds, his hand was pulling at the zipper along my back. The dress pooled around my feet and left me in nothing but my panties.
"I couldn't wait any longer," he panted against my neck. His breath was hot, uneven , too warm. "I left work and followed up with Antonio. I got here as fast as I could."
His hands brushed over my skin, and it sent electricity all over my body. His touch always felt like that, like a spark waiting to ignite something deeper. Something I didn’t understand.
Something inside him felt wild.
"There's people here, Andrey," I protested when he kissed my neck.
I felt the heat of his body against my back, and when he grabbed my hips and pulled my ass into his erection, I instantly moaned.
"I can't wait for another minute to have you, baby," his voice was a growl, low, animalistic, dangerous. It rumbled through me, deep enough that I felt it in my chest but I wasn't afraid. I was used to it but I didn't have the courage to ask him why.
His fingers curled into my back so he could kiss me.
"What if someone hears us?"
"You better find a way to keep quiet then," he warned.
There was a glint in his eyes something wild again.
Andrey Volkov wasn’t going to stop. He was going to take me right here, right now, in this dressing room. The indecency of the situation shouldn’t have excited me as much as it did.
But there was something about him that made it impossible to think straight ,that heavy pull, that scent of smoke that wrapped around me and burned my lungs in the best way.
Over my shoulder, I saw Andrey sit on the cushioned bench in the corner. Silently, I turned and faced him. His eyes widened as he scanned my body and landed on my stomach.
He leaned forward and grabbed my hips to examine me. I blushed when I realized what he was looking at.
"You didn’t wash me off, good girl."
I felt filthy, but when he praised me for leaving his mark on my body, I felt like an angel.
I wanted to be a good girl for Andrey Volkov. I wanted to do anything he asked me to do. When he made me feel so damn good, all I wished for was more time to melt with him.
"You so wicked," I told him, with a shy smile forming on my face.
His eyes softened, but that darkness never left them. It lingered , deep and powerful.
And in that small room, with his scent filling the air and his breath ghosting against my skin, I had no idea just how close I was to him.
