Chapter 234 Chapter 234
Savannah was feeling a bit better that morning, but the doctor who came to check her told her to rest and avoid any kind of stress. Adrian sat beside her on the bed, holding her hand and watching her breathe slowly.
“You need to stop thinking too much, my love,” Adrian said softly, brushing her hair away from her face. “It’s not good for you or the baby.”
Savannah nodded quietly. “I’m trying, Adrian. But I keep having these strange dreams. They feel so real.”
Adrian frowned a little. “Dreams? What kind of dreams?”
She looked away. “I see darkness… I hear someone calling my name, but when I turn, no one is there. It’s always the same.”
Adrian squeezed her hand gently. “It’s just your mind playing tricks, love. You’ve been through a lot. Please, stop worrying.”
Savannah forced a smile, but deep inside, she still felt uneasy. Something didn’t feel right.
That evening, Adrian went downstairs to take a few business calls while Savannah rested. He was in the study when his phone rang again — an unknown number.
“Hello?” he answered, sounding tired.
A deep, cold voice came through. “Protect your wife… before it’s too late.”
Adrian froze. “Who is this?!” he shouted, standing up. But the line went dead.
His heart started racing. He called the number back, but it was switched off. Adrian stood still for a few seconds, trying to think. He quickly called his head of security and ordered more guards to stay close to the house.
That night, when he climbed back into bed, he didn’t tell Savannah about the call. He just held her close, kissed her forehead, and whispered, “I’ll protect you. I promise.”
Meanwhile, far away in another city, Cassandra sat in her room scrolling through her phone. After weeks of searching, she finally found what she was looking for — a post on social media showing Adrian, Savannah, and little Liam smiling together.
She zoomed in on Savannah’s face and whispered, “So this is where you’ve been hiding… living happily while I’m suffering.”
Her eyes burned with hate. “I’ll find you, Savannah. I swear, I’ll destroy everything you love.”
She picked up her phone and made a call. “Clara, it’s time. I found them.”
On the other end, Clara’s voice came cold and sharp. “Good. Let’s finish what we started.”
The night grew quiet, but far across the city, danger was already moving closer to Savannah — a storm was coming, and no one knew it yet.
