Chapter 77: The Wise Vs The Whicked

Keira's Pov

Angel Conrad's hand and pen hovers over the tiny parchment.

"What do you think I should write?" he asks, looking furious that he has to do this.

Of course penning a love letter to our enemy is not just hard but disgusting as well. But it seems to me like it's the only way we can get her to mix her blood with Luther's. Once the fake mate bond between her and my other husbands is broken then we won't have to fight them to get to her or her father.

"We must make her believe that your thoughts and feelings are genuine. You must confess a good reason why you're choosing to betray me. Tell her that I am a weak human that never deserved to be the queen of your great kingdom," I suggest.

"That's not true. You're the smartest and strongest woman our kingdom has ever seen. Not even our mother was as fierce as you're," my husband differs.

"The point is to make her believe without doubt that you hate me. The truth doesn't matter," I answer.

"Still it disgusts me to write such lies about you," he complains.

"Then let me write on your behalf," I pick up the parchment and pen from his hand.

For some strange reason he looks away as I write the letter. Nevertheless I make it sound like he has always loathed me and was waiting for any chance of escape from our bond. I put claims that he made efforts to find more information about her her life and personality. It turns out that she is the kind of queen they always wanted to be mated to.

Finally I tell her about the blood we will be sending alongside the letter. She needs to believe that it's Conrad's so that she can mix it with her's and cast the spell. I express Conrad's deep desire to have a mate bond with her just like his brothers. Hopefully she will believe every word in the letter.

Luther places a tiny container filled with his blood on the table in front of me just as I am about to end the letter.

"Thank you," Conrad says. "Once this is over you will be properly rewarded for the help."

"A reward from you would be the greatest thing I have ever achieved. I will pray for your victory," the beta happily responds and bows in respect.

He cut himself to give us his blood. He does deserve an impressive rewards. But we must win first.

"Do you have a brave messenger that can take our letter and Luther's blood to Lunacrest palace?" I ask alpha Aleric.

Having been a member of the pack for over six months I know several warriors that can fearlessly do the task. But I need his permission to send any of them. Ezra would have been the best choice if only he wasn't trapped inside our palace together with my father. It worries me that Arina and her father may have hurt them.

"Allen has been our best warrior since you left. We can send him to take the letter and the blood. He can spy on your enemies as well since we trained him on ways to win our enemies trust," the alpha informs.

"Thank you so much. He sounds like the best. We shall speak with him right away," I say.

ARINA'S POV

The mightiest and most beautiful beings of all kingdoms would do anything for me as long as they believe that I am their mate, Keira. Finally I am being granted such unconditional love and attention, the kind everyone thinks that a woman like me do not deserve.

It's sad that I have to pretend to be their beautiful wife to be loved. My father had to cast heavy spells just so they can see me as their beloved wife. I am neither virtuous nor dazzlingly beautiful. No attractive traits were wasted on me. Yet I have always been expected to act grateful and morally upright.

Keira can easily have the love of any man she wants despite being a himan, but I had to stealn her identity to have a taste of it. My father once tried to teach me to be a perfect being like Keira, to hide who I really am so that people would . Yet my own mate rejected me on the night of my eighteenth birthday. So I decided that I would fight for the things I desire without moral restraints or pretense of virtue.

Now I am the new queen of Lunacrest and the most incredible beings care for me. I was disappointed when they let Keira escape instead of snapping her neck. She still has got one of the angels that wasn't affected by my father's spells. So she still remains a threat to my success. Her father and friends are in the tinny cells in the palace basement. I will have them killed if she tries anything.

But that isn't enough to keep off a relentless woman like her. That's why I need the powers of the darkstone. I am certain it will bond well with my inner darkness. I will be as powerful I have always dreamed to be.

"Is something wrong, honey?" Angel Garren questions while comfortably laying beside me on a soft couch whose edges are decorated with gold. His face is a hundred times more beautiful than of my former mate, and Luther was Silverpaw's most attractive male. I cannot believe that Keira didn't make love with these breathtaking men every hour. Every inch of their bodies is enchantingly beautiful. Her pride must have made her blind.

I lean down and kiss the angel's soft lips.

"What could be wrong when I have a stunning husband like you?" I tease, grabbing the upper edge of his shirt and ripping it open.

His eyes widen in disbelief as I trail a line of little kisses all the way down to his left n*pp*e. His breath catches as I suck on the tip of his breast.

"I knew you would be amazing once you gained some confidence, Keira," he compliments.

I am sure that once I have made love eith him and his brother they will give me the key to every room of this palace. Then I can find the dark stone without making them suspect that I am not Keira as she can only hold the Dreamstone.

"I will show you magic if you let me," I say taking his other ni**le into my mouth. My hand moves lower to undo his belt and sneak underneath the tight pants. I mourn as his hand comes up to caress my hair.

A sudden loud knock interrupts the blissful moment and I grunt in annoyance.

"Keira!" my father's voice calls.

We agreed that I would use my enemy's name until we manage to kill her. Then her husbands will have no option but to keep me as their best queen.

"I will be back in a minute," I say to the angel beneath me before heading out of the room.

My father stands waiting several steps away with Allen, Silverpaw's best warrior. I wonder why my father hasn't used his magic to kill the fool yet.

"Allen has brought us good tidings," my father informs in a low voice as I get closer.

"This letter is for you, m'lady," the warrior says with a sweet smile while holding out a folded parchment for me to take.

He bows in respect as if acknowledging my new status. I read through the text and a wave of happiness fills my heart. The angel kings never loved Keira. Even the one that didn't fall under my father's spells wants to be with me instead. Guess it's only the mate bond that made them accept her.

"Where is the blood?" I ask the warrior and he hastily pulls out a tiny bottle field with the red liquid from the pockets of his coat.

Finally I will have a mate bond with all the three brothers. But the spell can only work if it is cadtt in presence of the other person. I am sure that the angel will be willing to meet with me so that the bond can be created. He is after all desperate to leave their weak, human mate.

"Congratulations on your great success, m'lady. The people of our pack are proud," the warrior says.

"Really?"

"Of course. You're one of us. Keira wasn't," he answers.

I always thought that the whole pack hated me. But I guess I just didn't give them a single reason to be proud of me as they were of Keira.

"Tell angel Conrad to come back here at the Palace. I will cast the spell to create our mate bond," I say to the warrior. "And I would appreciate it if he would kill that wretched human before she starts bothering us."

"Yes your majesty. Your new lover will get your message," the warrior bows before turning to leave.
