Chapter 52: A Run through the Forrest

Stella's point of view

Running Running as fast as my paws will carry me. The winter snow just beneath my paws.

Callum has been training me inorder to become familiar with my wolf. The chilled air filling my nostrils. For the first time in my life I have experienced pure freedom.

" Slow down my little Dove 🕊 I can barely keep up."

My wolves ears perked up hearing Callum call for me through the mind link. It brought great pride to my wolf. She has become attached to him my wolf calls to him but that might be because of his mark. Coming to the clearing I halted as if someone had put their hand on my shoulder I listened. ' Stella I'm here.' My wolf whined the voice nothing but a whisper.

Roxy came up behind worried about my sudden uneasiness. Unable to mind link me due to not being part of the pack she came up and nudged at my side to see if I was ok. I gave her a simple nod even in wolf form she brought great comfort to me.

We shifted back into our human forms.

" Are you alright?"

"Yes I'm fine I guess I was in my wolf form for too long."

" Is the pup alright."

" He's fine he's strong."

Roxy couldn't help but to rub my belly.

Letting out a soft sigh " My future Alpha."

Her words so soft If it wasn't for me having a wolf now I wouldn't of even caught her words. It brought great joy to my wolf and I. But even in tender sweet moments such as this I knew she missed her pack and her mate. I couldn't help the guilt that started to creep up in my chest. It was all my fault. If it wasn't for me Roxy wouldn't of had to choose between her pack and mate and me.

" Shhhh I know what your thinking Stells. I see it in your eyes."

" What am I thinking then?" I tried to act dumb.

" You wonder if I miss our pack?"

" It was never my pack Roxy."

Roxy's eyes began to darken " It was always your pack no what anyone has to say about it. If Mara never came back Damien would have moved on and you would have been our Luna and we wouldn't of never crossed paths with Callum."

" You know that's not true Damian loves Mara. I was just in the way. It would have never worked between us."

" Well I guess now we'll never know. But I will say this the pup in your belly say otherwise."

Before I could reply Callum fast approaching shifted into his human form. Clearing his throat " I wish to be alone with my mate."

Roxy couldn't help but to snarl defiance easily placed upon her eyes she was not moving an inch.

Irritation struck Callum his temper easily rising " Now"

Roxy looking between Callum and I. I simply nodded telling her to go and that I would be alright. Roxy let out another snarl before shifting back into her wolf and dashing off back the way we had came. Callum watching her as her wolf vanished through the trees.

" We are going to have to talk about your she wolf friend. Her defiance will no longer be tolerated no matter how close you are to her she has to start respecting me as her Alpha. Or so help me I will make an example out of her."

Stoking Callum's forearm in hopes to calm him down. " Don't worry about Roxy I will talk to her. Just give her a little more time I beg you. She just needs time to adjust to how things are now. It's alot for her to take in. She has always been loyal to her pack she only ever left because of me."

" I will let you deal with her but if she keeps stepping out of line I will be forced to put her to the whip."

A shiver ran up my spine my hand instinctively going to my back where the light scarring still took place. " She won't be defiant no more I promise you. She risked everything for me Callum."

Callum nodded in understanding.

" I understand but she's in my pack now. Her alliance now has to lye with me. Two weeks is all I'm giving her to join my pack and sever her past bonds."

" What if she refuses?"

" Then she will suffer the consequences of my pack and there will be no telling what my men will do to her. She needs to join that way I can protect her."

" But you are the Alpha what you say goes."

" Not when one is an outsider whose not part of my pack. My pack is made of rogues the rules here are different than the ones of a traditional wolf pack. My pack is looking for me to be on their side at all times yes they will listen to me because I am their Alpha but they will not take well to me choosing an outsider over them."

" But I am their Luna and I am also an outsider."

" That's different they will see you as their Luna solely because you are mated to me. Your friend on the other hand is not so fortunate she has to either join willingly or she has to mate with someone from my pack for my pack to not view her as a threat."

Taking in his words I fear for the safety of my dearest friend. " promise me no harm will come to her and I will talk to her." Leaving Callum in the forest.

I quickly followed where Roxy had tooken off not to long ago in hopes to save my friend from the destruction that awaits her within Callum's pack. I can only hope that she will be able to see reason.
