Chapter 98: The Truth

The Truth

"I am speaking to you Dylan, do not walk out on me!" She yelled at the man.

They were now both in their rooms, Dylan was tired of everything. He felt was an insult to even respond to Amelia's questions because they weren't even questions he should be answering.

Amelia was supposed to ask Jenner instead of coming to him. He wasn't the only one that could create hickey or scratches and he wasn't the only one that could tear her clothes, who knows, she must have done it on purpose.

Dylan began to change his clothes while Amelia didn't stop asking him unreasonable questions. He was already fed up so he barked at her

"Do you want to know the truth?!"

"Yes, yes Dylan, yes. I want to know how you can ignore your wife for another woman. My own sister for that matter-"

"Dress up." he cut in.

Amelia furrowed her brows, "Why should I?" She asked but Dylan only threw some clothes her way before saying again.

"Dress up."

Amelia snapped, "How would dressing up make me know the truth? Dylan, I want to hear it from-"

"Amelia, dress the hell up!" Dylan yelled at her with anger.

Amelia gasped when she saw that look in his eyes. That look she always sees back then but never used to. Her eyes watered and she began to sniff trying so hard to hold back her tears.

The anger in Dylan's heart heightened, this was the reason he didn't want to speak for a long time now but his wife kept tempting him.

He didn't want to show her this side of him ever again. He didn't want her to cry because of him again and he didn't want her to fear him ever again but here he was doing that same thing that would make her be scared of him.

He watched as the girl quietly took off her nightwear exposing her round ass to him. His dick twisted, she was indeed the only one that could seduce him.

Amelia wore the clothes Dylan had thrown to her and turned to meet his heated gaze on her. She watched him turn his eyes away from her before clearing his throat.

"Let's go."

Amelia almost burst into tears when Dylan walked ahead of her without complimenting her, praising her body or touching her. No matter how late they were for a meeting, Dylan would always do any of these but he didn't even say anything. All he could say to his wife was, let's go.

When they reached the car, Dylan sat in the driver's seat and Amelia in the front passenger's seat. She could see that Dylan was upset with her because he had also refused to open the door for her to sit.

He went straight to his side of the car and she had to open her door herself. Not like she can't, but this alone showed her that Dylan was angry at her. He always opens the car for her.

It was late at night, everyone should be home from work but that was when Dylan was taking his wife to work. He wanted to prove to her that he didn't do anything wrong since she was looking for answers to unreasonable questions.

"Where are we going?" She asked but Dylan didn't respond instead he turned on the radio.

They began to listen to a song on the radio. Dylan wasn't enjoying the song but he needed to get Amelia to shut up. And she did, Amelia kept her mouth shut.

Soon, they got to the office, Dylan came down, Amelia remained seated, she wondered what they were doing there at his office that time of the night.

'Was the answer to her question here?' She asked herself before coming down when she saw that Dylan had already started walking into the building.

"He can't even wait for me." she clicked her tongue before walking behind him.

Dylan was in a really bad mood, his entire day was spoiled because of his wife and her sister. He has never wanted Amelia to know about this since it would cause more problems but since she was turning the table around, he doesn't have a choice.

Jenner felt she had proof, he would show her that he had even greater proof than she did.

They both used the elevator up to his office. The entire building was quiet but he had made sure to turn on the lights to the building. He didn't talk with his wife, instead he only led her and she followed quietly wondering what he wanted to do here in his office late at night.

They both entered his office, flashes of what happened between the both of them the last time she had come here came running back to her memory, her cheek reddened.

Dylan could guess what she was thinking about and he would have teased her about it but he didn't. He was upset with her and until she apologizes he wouldn't even smile at her.

The accusations directed to him by his own wife were too much. How dare she open her mouth to say that he was a rapist and he had tried to rape her sister? How could she use the thing of the past to judge him when he was trying so hard to make her happy?

He took one of the chairs and pulled it for her to sit but Amelia didn't.

"What's this? What are you trying to do?" She asked Dylan but the man didn't reply to her.

When he saw that she was becoming stubborn and didn't want to sit, he left her before going out.

He was out for a while before he stepped back into the office and turned on his computer. Amelia was already seated by then.

Dylan quietly worked on his computer while Amelia had a deep frown on her face.

"Dylan, are you telling me what we are doing here now or should I leave?" She threatened but Dylan didn't budge.

He hated what was going on between the both of them but he doesn't have a choice than to act that way with her. Trust was the first thing they needed to build in their relationship.

He turned the computer to face her and watched her expression.

Amelia watched how Jenner had come to his office and she frowned.

'How did Jenner know Dylan's office and what the hell was she doing here?' she wondered.

She watched them talk for a while and saw how Nike had left the office for just Dylan and Jenner. It was when Jenner began to strip that Amelia gasped with her hands covering her mouth.

She could not believe any of it as her eyes widened more. She couldn't stop the tears from falling from her eyes that never left the screen.

She saw how Dylan picked up his telephone and called the security. She looked down at the date and saw that it was the same day.

Amelia looked past the computer to her husband, her face turned pale. It just dawned on her that she had accused the innocent, which was her own husband. She had trusted Jenner instead of her husband.

She had called him names when he wasn't the one at fault. She didn't know what to do. Jenner had been the one lying, she turned the table around and she believed her.

Dylan turned the computer back to himself before switching it off. The office became silent all of a sudden after he switched off the computer, only the sob of Amelia could be heard

"Let's go" she heard her husband say to her but she didn't know if she could stand upright. With what she had just seen, she wasn't sure she could stand properly.

Jenner betrayed her, made her scream at her husband and accused him, something she had never done before. Jenner made her shut Tina up, something she had never done before.

How does she begin to ask for forgiveness from them?

What If Dylan turns his back on her due to what she had done? How could she not trust her own husband? It was at this point, her brain began to bring to light all the rubbish she had said to him earlier at the dining table.

She looked up to see that Dylan had already walked up to the door ready to leave. She stood to her feet and hurried to where he stood with her head down.

Dylan didn't reply to her, instead he walked ahead of her. They went out of the building and made their way back home.

Amelia's head was a mess as she thought of what she had just seen. She was in a daze, thinking of the best way to apologize to Dylan that would make him forget that she ever said those words to him.

She didn't know when they reached the house and knowing that Dylan wouldn't open the door for her, she stepped down only for Dylan to start the engine again and drove off leaving her standing in the middle of the big compound.
