Chapter 55

Callum's POV

"So let's go over it one more time." "Callum, we have this under control." Some of our best warriors had already crossed over into Summit Pack. It was the least guarded, according to Daisy. Then, we would show up with a few others to avoid looking like we were up to something. The guards on the western border would be injected with silver so they could not mind link. Then, they would be in charge of torture to find out where our Pack was being held. They currently were doing that now.

We had more wolves already waiting to know where, and they were supposed to go get them out safely. They had covered their scents so they would be on the pack lands undetected. Daisy knew the Alpha would call everyone in the Pack to watch us surrender so we would have time. Daisy planned to challenge him as soon as she saw him.

It was law he would have to fight her. I didn't like the idea of her fighting an Alpha, but she had been adamant about the fact she killed him. I was worried he would have something up his sleeve. He knew we would challenge him. It was our one shot to kill him. But, he thought he would be fighting me most likely. He knew he could not win against me, so how was he planning to win if we had a challenge. This is what made me nervous.

"We have the location alpha." "Okay, send everyone in and be quick about it." "There is something else, Alpha." "What?" "Alpha Conners is the one who sent the rogue army to Blood Paw. He told the royals about them and that their own Pack of their own. Apparently, the crown permitted him to reach out to the rogue Alpha and told him if he attacked us, even if they lost, they could have the Pack even after we were gone. Alpha Conners was the go-between." This bastard.

He really dared defy me. I was furious. Lorde was chanting "Kill him" Over and over again. We pulled up in front of the packhouse. Daisy barreled out of the car. I followed her. As soon as she was out, she yelled before anyone could approach or say anything. "Alpha Conners, I challenge you." A twisted smile appeared on his face. "Do you want to go to the square, or do you want to do it now." "Now." Just then, shooting pain hit my shoulder. This burned as it went through my shoulder.

I growled. Daisy turned to see my shoulder bleeding. "You may challenge me, but your mate will die." Just then, my other shoulder was hit. They were fucking shooting me with silver bullets. "Alpha, we got them. We are moving off the post now." One of my warrior's mind linked, but it was fuzzy. One of the silver bullets had to be lodged in me. Me. Daisy screamed, coming to me. "Stop," She yelled. "You will fight, and you will yield." Her old Alpha said.

I was sitting in the dirt, leaning up against the car. I could see the fear in Daisy's eyes. The warriors who drove in with us moto shield me from any more bullets. One bullet rang out. One of my warriors fell to the ground dead. They were showing they could just kill us if they wanted to. "Fine, let's fight. Just stop firing at my Pack. Daisy would do what she thought was right. She would fight and then surrender to protect me and the others. Then he would kill her. I was furious there was nothing to do. Once she died, I would most likely be shot dead.

Which is just as well. I did not want to live without her. "Any type of fight is fine." The people moved away to make room. Alpha Conners started. Daisy dodged. She was passive in her fighting. Getting a few hits in. Him getting some in. She was not even trying. It looked like she had decided to surrender when he won the fight. Which she was letting him do was evident. She barely was blocking. He struck her in the face, and she went stumbling back. She fell on her bottom.

She put her hands up. "I surrender." She stood in front of him. He was just about to nod when I watched her arm shift, and she cut open his throat. He dropped to the ground. Some of the warriors jumped on me, and shots rang out. What was happening, she had been exposed. "Get off me. Protect your Luna." The people moved away from me, and although my shoulders hurt, I stood up.

I looked around. People were running, but where was Daisy. I heard screaming, and then I saw her. She was in her wolf form, ripping into the crowd. Summer had been let out, and she was not happy. I ran to her. "Summer, you can't kill everyone." Her grey and white wolf snarled at me. "I know you want vengeance for their actions, but we can't kill everyone. There are children here." The wolf understood. She was still mad, though. She ran off.

Sniffing the air. What was she looking for? I followed her the best I could. Then I saw her; she was killing Charlotte. I watched as she completely destroyed her. Then I followed when she went to another woman and did the same thing. She was looking for someone again. Was this some kind of hit list? She killed another two people, both men and then all of a sudden, she shifted back.

"I knew you killed Charlotte, but who else?" "I killed the Luna, the beta, and the delta. I left the alpha son. He always seemed like he would be different from his father. Maybe he could prove himself to us. But I insist you make him an alpha under you. I understand this needs to be done. Otherwise, he may be wanting to seek revenge." She was right to demand that. She would know if the new Alpha would be a good one.

Daisy had spent years just watching these people. She would have killed the Alpha's son if she thought he would be like his father. I trusted her judgment. I needed to go see a doctor. I had two silver bullets lodged in my shoulder. And though it was not a lot, I could not shift if needed. "Jax, find the shooter wherever he went and kill him." "My pleasure." "Come on, let's take you to the clinic. We will call this Pack together when you have the silver removed." Daisy said.
