Chapter 43

Daisy's POV

"What do you think Prince Damon is doing? I mean, he kind of just wandered off." "I have no idea what he is doing, but I do have someone following him. I need to keep an eye on him. He is a shifty mother fucker." I knew Callum was stressed. You could just tell by the way he was holding his body. We were sitting on his couch in his office.

I had taken the day off from school today, knowing Callum would be stressed with the arrival of Prince Damon. Not to mention, I knew I needed to be here for this. I will be back in school tomorrow, though. I just hoped Callum could control his wolf with me gone. With us being mates, being around tended to keep him calm and comfort him. He would do the same for me.

He picked up my feet, removing my shoes. He began to rub my feet. "Callum, you don't have to do that." "No, I want to. It gives me something to do. What do you not want me to rub your feet?" "No, of course, I would like a foot rub. I will never turn one down." He smiled at me. "Why don't we talk about something besides Prince Damon being here. It will help get your mind from it." "What do you want to talk about, little wolf?" "How about we talk about our desires." He looked at me with a sinister smile. "You know what I desire." "And what is that?" "You in our bed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." I giggled.

"Callum, I am in our bed every night." "I know, but I want to be inside you all the time." I laughed. "You are a nympho." He laughed. "What do you desire, little mate?" "Well, a lot of things. I want children. I want to spend a lot of time with you. I want the pack to be happy. Vanille ice cream every day would be nice." "Daisy, you have ice cream every night." I smiled. "I know, but I still desire it. I also want you to get someone to make Frappuccino for the pack." "Daisy, you have those every day you go to school." "So, I think the pack would like them."

I had a severe sweet tooth. It was good that I was a werewolf if I was not at risk of getting diabetes or cavities. With how much I ingested sweet things. If I were human, I would have developed problems with my body. "You still want someone to make Frappuccino for the pack." "Yes, and I will ask every so often until my dreams become reality." He chuckled. "You know you have a sugar addiction, right?" "So, what if I do. Sugar is delicious." He laughed. "You are cute." "You are sexy."

"If you don't watch what you say, I will take you again." "I have no problem with that. I like it when you take me." He smiled as he continued to rub my feet. "So, how many children do you want?" I asked him. I had been curious about this since Lizzy asked me when she had shown me the pack lands. "I don't really know. I just figured we would know when we were done having kids." "I agree that is what I figured." "I can't wait to see you swollen with my child." I giggled again.

He was so sweet when he was like this. He was still stressed, but I knew keeping things light would help him relax. I was worried about what would happen tomorrow when I wasn't here. His face changed. He stopped rubbing and got up immediately. "What is happening?" "Rogues, a whole group of them." He and I both took off running. We shifted as soon as we got outside. I felt Callum through the bond. "Get everyone inside. We are on lockdown. Warriors to the rogues are on the west side of the pack lands." "How many Alpha?" Some asked. "A lot." We ran Summer, running faster than Lorde. When I got to the rogues, I saw some warriors there fighting. There were a lot of rogues. They had started ganging up on several of our warriors.

Summer didn't hesitate when she started her attack. Taking one after another down. She didn't hesitate. Lorde showed up, and the two of us were like rabid animals. Ripping vital organs. Both of our wolves wanted to protect the pack. There were still a few rogues when the other warriors showed up, but Callum and I had taken a big chunk of them. As the numbers started to go down. Both Summer and Lorde began to be more demonstrative. Tearing the wolves to pieces. After they thought the threat was mostly gone, they gave in to bloodlust.

Ripping and shredding remaining rogues. Both furious and angry. Someone had dared to trespass on our land. Attack our people. There was no way either Lorde or Summer could calm down until every rogue was dead. But the brutality in which they were destroying the last of the rogues was way past a normal attack. It was almost demonic. We had killed virtually everyone when we both caught sight of one fleeing. Summer ran after it, and Lorde followed. Summer grabbed hold of its back legs. She began to shake it.

Lorde came up. He wanted to play with this one as it was the last rogue. He got down and lunged in the front leg. The wolf tried to nip at him. Summer didn't like that. She let go of his leg. They were going to do this together. Lorde jumped, nipping it in the throat. He didn't want to kill it yet. Just make it compliant. The bite was not as deadly as it could have been. Summer went back to the leg. Lorde went to the front of the leg again.

Then, they began to play tug of war with the wolf's body. It was barely breathing, and then, with one rough jerk from both of them, the wolf tore in half. That was not enough, though. Callum and Summer were still mad. They did what they did best and obliterated the rogues' body. When it was done. Summer and Lorde rubbed against each other. Lorde and I looked at the few pack members standing there watching us.

We had told the pack about the bloodlust. So, it was no surprise to them. And many of the warriors had already seen Callum do this in wars they had fought. Lorde and Summer then turned their heads to see a wolf we didn't recognize. It was not a rogue, though. I mind-linked Callum. "Is that one of Prince Damon's warriors?" "No, that is Damon himself." I looked through the eyes of Summer. Prince Damon's wolf was as big as Lorde's. Though his fur was redder than the browns of the wolves from Blood Paw Pack. I was the only one in the pack with grey and white fur.

"Callum, this is bad, right?" I asked him over the mind link. "Yes, this is bad." Lorde rubbed his head against Summer. Nudging her to go back to the packhouse. Summer began to head back, Lorde not leaving her side. Callum had told some warriors to round up the dead rogues that Summer and Lorde had not destroyed. He had them drag them into the woods to remind others what awaited them if they attacked. He told the pack the threat was over. But I knew the real danger was that Damon had seen just what Lorde and Summer were, and it would only worsen.
