Synopsis

“I don’t care if the whole world wants you, you belong to me.” “No, I don’t belong to you. Vampires and werewolves do not mix.” “Yet, here you are in my bed, squirming at my touch. Lie to me, lie to Eidenel, that you don’t feel desire burning in you as I plant my kisses and fingers on your skin.” "I feel a burning sensation between my legs." ****** Eidenel was from a special bloodline but by the time she was born, she found herself alone and being used by her pack. Eidenel was the daughter of the Beta of Sudden Fang Pack, but she was born with features that attracted a myth or a prophecy as some would call it. In past times, the moon goddess had cursed a witch from a vampire pack after she dared intrude into a werewolf pack, and got pregnant by the then Alpha. The lineage was hereby cursed, and that Alpha lost his life. However, his offspring was born and the cursed lineage continued. Whoever was born with a red hoof was said to be from the cursed lineage of the ancestors, and the moon goddess would treat that person's destiny accordingly. ''Eidenel, how come I get to spot red dots on your hoofs sometimes? Sometimes it's pure white like the rest of your body. Is it my eyes?''

Chapter 1: The Prophecy

''Eidenel!''

My guardian hurried out of the house, looking for me frantically while I stared at her from my hideout. I had promised myself not to reveal this hideout to anybody because it was the only place I was sure to get peace of mind whenever I visited.

''Oh, moon goddess, where is she?'' My guardian muttered.

As soon as I heard her say that, I leaned over to take a closer look at her face.

I was above her. My hideout was on an old rocking chair I found in the attic, which I put in the old basement that whoever had this house before us built all in the name of having a hideout. Yes! There was a basement in the roof of the barn outside, one that I had made comfortable to my taste over the years and could boast of being tidier and more comfortable than the rooms of a lot of my peers in the Sudden Fang Pack.

I was just going to descend from my make-shift room and sneak up on my guardian, when I saw the leader of the warrior clan of Sudden Fang Pack walk in with his generals. I recognised him at once because apart from being the leader of the warrior clan, he was the father of the biggest bully in the pack. Her name was Cypher. Cypher hated my guts because according to everyone, I was prettier than her, and I oozed of a noble aura, even though everyone preferred to treat me like shit.

Yes, I was singled out and just picked on for absolutely nothing by everyone in Sudden Fang Pack. It had to be a curse from this damn prophecy I was about to hear about from the warrior leader.

''Are you hiding her? Where is she?'' Mr. Daryl asked my guardian, and before I knew what was going on, she was being pulled away while I heard the leader say something about treason.

Treason?

What did the word, treason have to do with me and my guardian?

Quickly, I hurried down from my hide-out and tip-toed behind the group as they took my guardian away. I stayed out of sight the entire time, noticing how tensed everywhere was. What was going on?

I turned eighteen the previous day, but it was uneventful and boring, so I could not relate todays events with my eighteenth birthday which would have been eventful if I had found my mate. Instead, it seemed like everyone was looking for someone in the pack, and I think I was the one.

Just yesterday, being that it was my birthday, I took a run deep into the woods and decided to take a swin in the enchanted lake that was rarely visited because of how far into the forest it was. I was feeling lucky since it was my nirthday, so I was sure that no harm would come to me if I visted the lake. My guardian had always warned me about the red spot on my hoof. My left hoof to be precise. She insisted that I dyed it white like the rest of my fur which I did, but when I was swimming yesterday, the water washed off the dye and my red hoof was visible.

Well, I was alone, so I didn't bother about my queer hoof showing, as I always carried dye with me everywhere just in case, but while I was swimming, I heard someone gasp and call out to me from the forest.

''Eidenel, what is that red spot on your hoof? Is it my eyes, or are you the one with the prophecy?''
