Chapter 11
"Don't we all?" he mumbled. "Well the answers to your questions are not in this diary, trust me." he said, reading through some pages briefly. "Yes, I had a feeling," I agreed. "Um... Who are you really?" I asked. "Well, I used to be your lover before you ran away. We even planned to elope. You broke my heart when you left me, but this time I will not let you go! You will be my bride-" "Shut up! Tell me honestly! How are you acquainted with Prince Nathan?" I asked, annoyed by his drama. "I'm his cousin," he stated in a dull monotone. He didn't seem proud at all and I didn't blame him. "Oh." I said. Then there was silence for a few minutes. "Master Harry, may I come in?" asked Gertrude, holding a tray that had a huge, black mug. "Yes Gertrude! Thank you!" he exclaimed, closing the diary. He grabbed the mug and he was drinking something voraciously. When he finished, I saw some red stains next to his lips. Blood. I became sick; extremely sick. "Um... Gertrude, I feel really sick. I need to go to the...bathroom," I informed, feeling my chest burn a little. Gertrude rushed over to me, after seeing Harry nod, and untied the knots. When she untied my right ankle, I quickly ran to the bathroom, locked the door and vomited in the sink. After about ten minutes, I entered the room and Gertrude was not there and so was the black mug. Lying on my bed, Harry smiled. "You are definitely Sertia," he concluded, smiling. "How so?" I asked feebly. I felt slightly dizzy. "Sertia used to become nauseated when she saw anyone drinking blood," he explained. "Oh..." I replied. I still needed more evidence since it was common that many other people also felt sick when they saw vampires drinking blood. "Yep! Now, I decided to stay here. And-" "What?" I interrupted. "Let me finish, little girl! Where are your manners?" he sighed, exasperated. I just rolled my eyes. "As I was saying; I decided to stay here for the night. And I am very excited. We could have a slumber party!" he exclaimed. I was speechless. He was so callow! "We will have loads of fun! We can watch scary movies and we can braid each other's hair and-" Then he started to cry again after realisation hit him. "My hair! My hair! Oh... You monstrous little girl! How could you even cut my beautiful hair?" "Geez, how old are you? Five?" I sighed. He just ignored me. His wails were very annoying so I walked over to him and grabbed his ear, pinching it. "Get a grip, you baby!" "Ow! Fine. Fine! Let go of my ear," he complained. I complied. "Now what?" I asked, tedious. He smiled. "Pillow fight!" he exclaimed, grabbing a pillow and hitting me with it. Well, I was bored and I was dying for entertainment. "You're on!" I said, grabbing my own pillow. As the epic pillow fight was about to be ensued, I heard loud shouts. "Leave me! I'm going upstairs. Now leave me alone!" shouted someone. We both looked at each other and I noticed that Harry was smiling. "What's going on?" I asked. He didn't answer me and continued to smile. "Welcome back, Nate," he said finally, still looking at me. I looked behind him and saw Prince Nathan standing next to the doorway, that no longer had a door. I was shocked to see his appearance. He was panting and most parts of his black suit were ripped. His tie was loosened and his hair was bedraggled. He looked rugged in an attractively way. "What happened to you?" I asked, dropping my pillow to the floor and walking towards him. As I was about two feet away from him, I saw blood stains on his black coat and on his face clearly. I gasped. I noticed that Harry also came near Prince Nathan. "Now, why is Nate panting? Did the meeting bore you too much?" said Harry, grinning mischievously. "Stop it Harry!" I scolded. "What happened?" I asked Prince Nathan. "What are you doing here, Harry?" asked Prince Nathan, ignoring my question. "Well, how can I not be here? Especially when my most favourite girl in the whole wide world has been finally found!" he said, smiling. "Cut the damn act Harry! Why are you really here?" he growled viciously. I stepped back, scared. "You know what? Forget it! Just leave," ordered Prince Nathan, exasperated. "What?" asked Harry, confused. "I said leave!" shouted Prince Nathan. Then, Harry disappeared, using his vampire speed. Prince Nathan groaned a bit in pain and he started to walk away. "Wait," I called. He stopped. "What?" he replied rudely. His menacing tone compelled me to shiver. "A-Are you okay?" I asked, stuttering since I lost my composure. He turned around, facing me, and, using his vampire speed, he pinned me to the wall by placing his two hands on my shoulders firmly. He looked angry and hurt. Frightened, I held my breath and tried my best not to cry or show any signs of weakness. "Am I okay? Not at all!" he hissed, tightening his grip on my shoulders even more. "It's all because of you! What were you even thinking? You running away, I could deal with somehow. But you losing your memories, I could never bear it!" I felt my shoulders burning in pain. "Let go of my shoulders," I managed to say. "You're hurting me." "I'm hurting you? No! You're hurting me! Since you left all I felt was pain. And you know what? I tolerated it with great difficult. When I found you, I decided to forgive you after you explained your valid reasons for leaving but, when I realised that you lost your memories, I couldn't take it. You broke me completely. That little hope I had left in me, you snatched it away!" he yelled. I noticed that his beautiful blue eyes were turning into a scary navy blue colour and I felt my shoulders getting crushed. "Please l-let go. Please!" I tried to scream, closing my tearful green eyes, frightened. Suddenly, the pressure against my shoulders was lifted and I collapsed to the floor. The fierce pain in my shoulders compelled me not to move my arms. I opened my eyes and saw Harry standing in front of me protectively, facing Prince Nathan. "Calm down before you do something you'll regret, Nate!" hissed Harry. I was crying in agony. I hated Prince Nathan. No, hate sounded too small. I abhorred him. Prince Nathan shoved Harry away and tried to pick me up. Although I was in pain, I refused his help and I tried to kick him away. But, he ignored my kicks and picked me up. Closing my eyes, I gave up resisting him since the excruciating pain in my shoulders was too much to bear. He gently placed me on the bed. "Call James. Now!" he yelled at Harry. Prince Nathan sat down next to me and he held my hand. I was still crying and he started to rub my hand gently, trying to comfort me but it didn't work at all. I hated him very much and I didn't even want him to touch me. Then, I heard a man talking to Prince Nathan. "What happened?" asked the man. He sounded familiar. I opened my eyes slightly and I recognised him instantly. He was Doctor James. He was at the hospital where Stephan was born and he was the one who told Sam and I about the soldiers. He pressed my left shoulder with his hand gently and I screamed. "She's in pain. I'll have to inject her," he stated. Instantly, I felt a needle penetrate through my skin in my neck. It gave a sharp pain but then the pain dissipated instantly. When Doctor James removed it, I felt drowsy. After a minute or so, when Harry forcefully pulled Prince Nathan out of my room, darkness overwhelmed me and I felt at ease thankfully.
