Chapter 61: Chapter ~ Happy Ending
Darish bowed politely and led them to the main hall, where the mysterious guest was waiting. As they walked, Luca held Belinda's hand tightly, prepared to protect her from any potential threat.
“You?” Luca's voice carried surprise as he saw the figure before him.
“Greetings to the Lord of the Northern Realm and Her Majesty, the Queen. I am Master Reven, an alchemist you once freed, descendant of the Bloodmoon Goddess,” Master Reven said, bowing low.
“Rise,” Luca commanded, and Reven straightened from his bow.
“Master Reven? Have I met him before?” Belinda asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.
“He's the one who helped me save you when you were in a coma,” Luca explained.
“Ah, I see.”
“You're human?” Belinda inquired, noting how different Reven appeared compared to the Ravis people.
“Partly. I am half Ravis, half human,” Reven replied. “After my mother passed away giving birth to me, my Ravis father brought me here. Through my studies, I delved into both science and alchemy.”
Belinda regarded Reven thoughtfully, absorbing his story. “Half Ravis and half human?” she murmured. “That explains your unique aura.”
Reven nodded solemnly, his gaze filled with respect. “Indeed, Queen Belinda. My mixed heritage has left me caught between two worlds. Yet, it has also granted me the ability to understand both realms.”
Luca crossed his arms, his demeanor calm but authoritative. “Reven, if you’ve come here, it must be for an important reason. Speak.”
Reven took a deep breath. “I bring vital news regarding the Bloodmoon Goddess’ power. During my captivity by Danica and Sein, I discovered that this power extends beyond destruction—it also holds the ability of creation. However, this potential can only be accessed if her descendant, Queen Belinda, fully embraces her bloodline and destiny.”
Belinda’s eyes widened. “Embrace my bloodline and destiny? What do you mean?”
Reven’s expression grew serious. “Your Majesty, this power is inherited not only physically but also spiritually. As long as you hesitate or doubt, the Bloodmoon Goddess’ power will remain dormant. Danica and Sein are aware of this, which is why they’ve tried to provoke you into using your power under unstable emotional conditions. But if you master it, no being—not even Zeos—could rival your strength.”
Luca turned to Belinda, his expression clouded with concern. “Bell, you don’t have to push yourself. If this power burdens you too much, I won’t force you.”
Belinda looked at Luca with a soft yet determined smile. “I know, Luca. But if this is my destiny and the only way to protect us all, then I have to embrace it. I won’t run away.”
Reven’s lips curved into a faint smile, impressed by Belinda’s courage. “You are indeed worthy of inheriting this power, Your Majesty. But to fully awaken it, I must guide you through an ancient ritual. However, this ritual is not without its challenges and demands a great sacrifice.”
Belinda nodded firmly, despite the unease stirring within her. “Whatever it takes, I’m ready.”
Luca’s intense gaze locked onto hers as he held her hand tighter. “Then I’ll be by your side, Bell. No matter what happens, we’ll face this together.”
Belinda’s smile grew, warmed by Luca’s unwavering support. “Thank you, Luca. With you, I feel stronger.”
Reven observed their exchange with deep respect. “This ritual is not only about awakening power but also aligning your soul, Queen Belinda, with the legacy of the Bloodmoon Goddess. I will prepare everything. But I must warn you, it will be physically and emotionally draining.”
Luca looked sharply at Reven. “How dangerous will it be for Bell?”
Reven hesitated before answering. “The risks are high, especially if the Queen’s soul isn’t fully prepared. If her control falters, the unleashed power could lead to catastrophic destruction, not just for her but for everything around her. However, if successful, she will become the most powerful being ever, with absolute mastery over the Bloodmoon Goddess’ energy.”
Belinda inhaled deeply, her resolve unwavering. “I understand the risks. But if this can prevent further destruction and stop threats like Danica and Sein, I’ll do it.”
Luca hesitated, then nodded. “Alright. But I want a way to stop the ritual if it endangers Bell.”
Reven’s smile held a hint of reassurance. “Of course, Lord Luca. I’ll ensure everything proceeds as safely as possible. Your presence will also be crucial for her success.”
Luca turned to Belinda, his eyes filled with determination. “I won’t leave you, Bell. Whatever happens.”
Belinda squeezed his hand tighter, comforted by his presence. “When can we begin this ritual, Reven?”
Reven bowed respectfully. “I’ll need a day to prepare the location and materials. We can begin tomorrow night, under the peak of the blood-red moon. Its energy will amplify the ritual’s potency.”
Belinda and Luca exchanged a determined look, then nodded in unison. They knew this would be a perilous step forward, but it was one they had to take together.
One Month Later
“Wow, I never imagined Mars could have green fields, grass, and such beautiful creatures,” Belinda chuckled as she took in the lush gardens of the Northern Realm.
Following the ritual with Reven, Belinda’s powers had stabilized. Using her newfound strength, she ended Mars’ long drought, bringing abundant water and turning the arid land fertile. The Ravis people were overjoyed, now revering her as a goddess of honor. A figure once dismissed had risen to greatness.
Belinda also extended her efforts to Earth, revitalizing its ecosystem despite not yet meeting familiar faces. She found joy in helping humanity’s rebirth.
Meanwhile, Luca sent Orion to Earth to assist in reconstruction efforts. Perhaps it was his way of atoning for past wrongs, knowing lost lives could never be restored.
Luca smiled as he watched Belinda stand amidst the flourishing gardens, bathed in the golden sunlight of Mars. She looked every bit the goddess she had become.
“I never thought this planet could be so beautiful,” Luca said as he approached.
Belinda turned to him with a warm smile. “I just did what needed to be done. Every being, human or Ravis, deserves a place to call home.”
Luca’s gaze softened, admiration evident in his eyes. “You haven’t just revived this planet—you’ve given it new life, and me as well. My people have never been this happy, and neither have I.”
Belinda laughed, her cheeks coloring slightly. “Don’t exaggerate, Luca. I just wanted to help.”
Shaking his head, Luca smiled tenderly. “You don’t realize your impact, Bell. The Ravis don’t respect you just for your power but for your heart. You’ve shown them that even someone once seen as weak can become their strongest protector.”
Belinda fell silent, her eyes sweeping over the verdant landscape that had once been barren. “Maybe I just needed time to prove myself. And I’m grateful I had you by my side, Luca. Without you, I wouldn’t have come this far.”
Luca stepped closer, taking her hand in his. “I’ll always be by your side, Bell. Together, we can face anything. You’re not just a goddess to my people; you’re the goddess of my heart.”
Belinda blushed but felt her heart swell with joy. She knew Mars had transformed forever—a world of destruction had become a haven of peace and beauty, a home where humans and Ravis could coexist. And it was all thanks to their shared love, courage, and strength.
“Thank you for staying by my side, Bell. I love you,” Luca said, gazing deeply into her eyes.
“I love you too, Luca,” Belinda whispered.
Luca leaned in, capturing Belinda’s lips in a passionate, intimate kiss. She returned it warmly, their bond unshakable.
The End.
