Chapter 174: ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FOUR

Soft fingertips trailed along his forearms and Alessandro shifted in his half-conscious state.

The sound of cuffs and chains snapping his wrists jolted him back to reality. Opening his eyes, he sighed with relief when he saw Isabelle standing right in front of him, her long auburn curls cascading over her shoulders and a wicked grin on her face.

She wasn't in the hot bodycon dress anymore.

Instead, she was in a different red dress but more of a nightgown than a club dress.

“Alessandro, you finally woke up,” she purred seductively.

“I’m sure you were wishing I didn't.”

“At some point, I hoped you wouldn't,” she smiled. “But we don't always get what we want, do we?”

Then at that moment, Alessandro realized something was different. He stared down at himself and noticed he wasn't naked anymore. His shirt and pants were back on as if he hadn't taken them off earlier. And the room?

This was a totally different one from the one in the club.

Or weren't they in the club anymore?

He hated being the one who remained confused in a situation.

It made one appear weak.

Alessandro raised his eyes back up to meet her face but not without taking in how every inch of the red silk night gown she wore clung to her body in places that dared a man to explore.

“Where am I, Isabelle?” he questioned angrily.

“And for the first time, you're the one confused. How do you feel about that?”

“Where am I? Don't make me lose my temper.”

Isabelle rolled her eyes at him, because that was exactly what she wanted. She needed him to lose his temper.

“It's funny how you still think you're the one in control here.”

“Take these cuffs from me and we'll see who's in control,” he threatened, yet fully aware of his cock coming alive again.

She set down the glass she had on the counter, facing him fully now.

“You're not in the club anymore and am sure you already know that. The substance was enough to keep you still and unconscious for as long as I wanted. Trust me, you don't want to know how long you've been unconscious.”

“So—”

“You're in my house.”

She noticed how his brows arched up in confusion.

“You don't have a house, Isabelle. Don't tell me you've begun your foolish imaginations once again,” he mocked, staring at her like she was delusional.

“I bought a house, here in Russia. I'm not that girl you think I am again.”

“You'll always be my girl.”

As much as she wanted to ignore that statement, her body responded to it before she could stop herself.

“I dressed you up, got you out of Alexei’s club without your men or Alexei’s notice and brought you here,” she explained with a hint of pride in her voice.

“You could have run when you needed to but you decided bringing me to your place was the best idea for a man who you just paralyzed? For a man who’s gonna drag you back to where you belong after I've decided I'm done with the games you're playing?” Alessandro clicked his tongue. “You're exactly what I've always suspected you would be.”

She wanted to say something but he beat her to it.

“A willing prey. My willing prey.”

“Don't call me that.”

“But that's what you are. Unless you’ve got some other reason why am in your house… in your room without your fucking fake husband’s notice.”

“He's not my fake husband. The marriage is completely legal.”

“Say it again… ten times. Perhaps, it'll make sense afterwards.”

Isabelle didn't say anything else. Intentionally, she delicately slipped the night robe off her shoulders, feeling the intensity of his gaze as she let the robe fall to the ground.

Now, she stood before him in just the silk transparent night dress.

Alessandro groaned, the chains clashing against each other as he tried to wrench himself free.

She knew he was watching, and she relished in the pleasure of feeling his eyes watch and anticipate her every move.

If anyone told her that she would kidnap her own husband, regardless of the irony in the situation, she would have called the person a fool. But she did exactly that. She took him from the club and brought him to one of the houses she bought during her stay with Alexei.

Initially, she planned to just keep him here, inform Alexei and have him complete the other part of the plan he created. But this?

This was a last minute change.

She wanted Alessandro badly.

She hated how much she still wanted him.

This might probably be the last time they'll have the opportunity of being close and she decided she would utilize it.

Use him to satisfy her raging desire. If that made any sense.

So the complete story was that she kidnapped her first husband and brought him to her house to have sex with him, to seduce him into thinking she still loved him. One last good time before she betrays him.

Letting him think what he wants even though she knew the truth better than he ever will.

So she gave him the most seductive smile and looked at him through heavy lidded eyes, “But you're right about one thing.”

Something in his expression shifted, and a blank look was all she got afterwards.

“I'm your willing prey. No matter what you do, however you do it. I'll still always come running back to you.”

And then, she caught something in his expression again, although it was just a flicker but she saw it. She smiled knowingly.

She still had an effect on him.

Good.

Because, that way everything else would be easier for her to do. It'll make the plan even more less complicated than it already was.

“I don't trust you,” he finally said after seconds had passed between them.

Good.

He shouldn't trust her because she didn't trust him either, but she wasn't going to tell him that.

She walked towards the bed where he sat—all chained up and she knelt before him.

Eyes fixed on him, her fingers trailed from the first button down to the last—twice. His Adam's apple bobbed up and down in response but he didn't speak.

Slowly, she undid his buttons, one after the other until she was done with all and slid his shirt off his body.

“What do you want?” Alessandro asked.

His breath hitched as soon as her fingers grazed over his cock while she tried to take his pants off.

Alessandro couldn't deny the anger radiating off him and he also couldn't deny how much he wanted her.

It's been a year and months.

He has never stayed this celibate before and his cock was only reacting how it normally would if it had been deprived for so long. But looking at her, he couldn't make out what she was thinking. Isabelle was never the one to make the move but here she was doing the exact opposite of what he has always known her for.

She kidnapped him, brought him to her alleged house and tied him up.

None of this made sense.

There was definitely something fishy going on.

But he didn't know what, and he hated it.

He hated that she was in control of the situation.
