In the end, Kevin was sentenced to 6 years.

Patrick was sentenced to 3 years.

Katie went to work at an internet company, which she said was arranged in advance by Patrick.

I didn't have much desire to earn money, so I simply opened a pet clinic across from my grandfather's house.

Friends around me got married and had children one after another, leaving only Katie and me still single.

“Are you waiting for him?” Katie asked me.

“How is that possible?” I smiled bitterly.

“I am waiting,” Katie admitted openly.

“Before, I thought I could be lifelong friends with him, but he ended up going inside. You see, unexpected things happen. If I had known, I would have been a little more daring and pursued him, at least have had a relationship, so I wouldn't have any regrets.”

“When he comes back, I'm going to kiss his mouth until it's sore.”

She pledged confidently.

She looked funny, but I couldn't help but feel envious.

The year Patrick was released from prison, Katie and I went to pick him up together.

“He is not angry at all, 'It is my honor to make socks for two beautiful ladies',” Patrick came out and continued to run his company.

Katie became more active at work and actively pursued him. One day, when I went to Katie’s company to pick her up after work, I saw Katie cornering Patrick.

“Patrick, it's not fun for us to be like this. You see, I have liked you for so many years, and I won't give up without kissing you.” Katie grabbed Patrick's shirt collar, leaving it messy, but he smiled playfully,

“Giving up after just one kiss?” “Hmm.” “Then you go find it yourself.” Patrick deliberately stood up straight. Katie couldn’t reach him at all and became anxious.
