Chapter 86: Couple's therapy...
Luciano had to be the most dangerous man I had ever come in contact with. I had every reason to fear him and every interaction I had with him.
He was too dangerous and I needed to stay far away from him. A man that said to your face that he did not need to lie to kiss you was aware of the power he could have over you if he wanted.
No wonder Certa, Gloria and Brianna seemed to be tied to him. It was easier for them because they were not working for him.
I could not be them. No, I would never let myself go to that stage. He was my boss, I worked for him.
The last time I allowed myself forget that, things did not go as planned. I had to be smarter than this. I already tasted what it could be like to be with him.
It was hard to stop myself from going far. I needed to make sure we never crossed that line again.
It was definitely not going to be easy but I was ready to work towards it. It was either that or I became one if the women who were helplessly ready to do anything for him.
Everyone seemed to think they were his girlfriend but he did not regard anyone as his girlfriend.
Even my employees were stunned by him. Every single girl seemed to dream if being with him. That was a the red flags I needed. I would never survive it.
He would break me more than I could imagine. He would make me go crazy. The other girls who liked him would make me go crazy too. I could not loose my sanity over a man that was not ready to be emotionally attached to anyone.
I was already at my house even though I would rather be anywhere than here. I knew of all the ways Lilian could frustrate me today and that was the only reason I agreed to go to Luciano's penthouse.
That penthouse always had ways to make me forget what I wanted to do. It would make you so helpless that you ended up doing things you never imagined.
His penthouse was just like him. Addictive, confusing and beautiful. His scent was all I we the place. I needed to limit my visit to his penthouse from now on. If I must go there, j should just stay outside and do whatever needed to be done.
There would be no need for me to enter his penthouse. This was just me protecting myself and my peace.
Immediately I got into my lounge, I saw Lilian on the comforter. She was already dressed and seemed to be going out. I wanted to jump up in excitement because that meant that I was going to have some sense of freedom for the next few hours.
"Good afternoon, Lilian." I greeted her.
I could tell that a huge part if her still held the grudge if me not doing as she said but she did not bring it up. "good afternoon, dear."
I looked around. "where is Greg?" I asked her.
She sighed. "he's getting ready."
I frowned. She was dressed, he was getting dressed... That meant that they were both going somewhere.
I felt giddy inside. Dud that mean that they are finally putting their argument aside to have a better understanding of each other.
I really hoped so because none if they seemed to be in a same kind since their argument. I also felt guilty because I've been extremely busy so I had no time to spend with them and try my best to squash things.
"Are you both finally going on a date?" I asked, the excitement clear in my voice.
Lilian did not look as enthusiastic as I looked. She took some time to reply. "no, were not going in a date."
The big smile on my face dropped as fast as it came. If they are not going on a date then where were they going? Hope they are not going to get a divorce. It could not be that fast to get the papers ready right?
I could feel the Nevers increasingly getting the best if me and I asked. "of you both are not going on a date then where are you going?"
Lilian was about to answer but then Greg finally came downstairs. He was dressed in a suit.
I raised my brows. "good afternoon, Greg."
He smiled. "good afternoon, dear. How are you?"
I flushed. "I'm fine."
The realization of what I wanted to ask came back and I was uneasy. I did not even know if I was supposed to ask them where they were going but I wanted to make sure they are fine.
"Where are you both going?" I finally asked him.
He took in a deep breath before replying me. "we are going to a couple's therapy session."
I frowned. "therapy session? Are you kidding me?"
I did not know if I was to laugh or cry. It sounded funny to me. On the one hand, I was grateful that they are not getting a divorce and on the other hand, I felt that it was quite weird that they are going to a couple's therapy session. Why would they want to do that? Whose idea was it?
"Why would you both want to go to a couple's therapy session?" I asked.
"We have to iron out our differences. We need a level playing ground to do that." Greg explain.
I did not press them further. I wished them all the best then hugged them before they left.
I was a little bit worried and just wished that they came back with positive results. I did not lie it when they are away from each other.
I was about to go upstairs when my doorbell suddenly rang.
I was not supposed to be expecting anybody. Who could it be and why were they here?
