Chapter 46

Where the hell is he?" I mumbled to myself, staring at the watch on my wrist.

All of a sudden, I felt my phone rang from my pockets. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and picked up the call.

"Hey Dana. What's up?" I answered, looking at the door.

"I just wanted to remind you that my birthday is this weekends, so do not forget!" she chirped through the phone.

"Okay I won't," I replied.

"If you do, I will be upset," she informed me.

"I know I know. I will set up my alarm my dear friend," I stated.

Suddenly, the group of soccer players walked in from the back door. I slowly took a step forward, looking for Bradley, but there was no sign of him. I spotted Alex walking with their other friend.

"What are you doing that you are distracted?" she asked through the phone.

"I'll call you back later Dana. I'm about to kill Bradley," I remarked.

"Okay, tell him to invite his friends to my party too!"

"Alright," I said quickly as I hung up the phone call.

"Hey Alex!" I shouted, walking up to him.

"Oh what's up Sophia?" he quizzed, carrying his gym bag.

"See you later man," the other friend said, walking off.

They nodded at each other and the other guy left, leaving me and Alex alone and standing by the door.

"Where's Bradley?" I questioned.

"Didn't he tell you? He went home first, but he took the other way to his car," he replied.

That little dipstick.

LTE LTE 00

Bang Bang Bang.

I stood by his front porch, knocking on the door multiple of times. I was so annoyed with him today. He had the audacity to leave me after his practice and went straight home. I figured it out when I stood in the hallway and Alex told me that he had already left. What a child.

"Ugh. Why is he taking forever to answer the door?" I grumbled, impatiently standing at the door.

I pounded on the door once again until I heard the doorknob move. Bradley swung the door widely with an annoyed expression on his face, which didn't bother me one bit. His wet dark blonde hair fell onto his forehead. I slowly looked at his shirtless self, showing his muscular 6 pack abs that were dripped with water. Also, he only had his black sweatpants on and a towel that was placed over his shoulder.

"Calm down Incredible Hulk. You don't need to break my door," he said sarcastically with a dull stare.

It felt like I was watching one of those hot guys in the tv shows. I felt my face burned up with embarrassment. I mean his appearance was always attractive, but I guess I never saw him that way since I got to know him a little more.

"Are you done drooling?" he interrupted.

I swallowed my saliva.

"N-no," I stammered.

He raised his eyebrow with an amused smirk. I shook my head after I realized what I just said.

"I mean...let's get this project over with!" I exclaimed, feeling the heat in my ears rise.

He held the door for me as I walked inside the living room. I felt his stare behind the back of my neck. I plopped down onto the sofa and threw my bag on the white fuzzy carpet in front of me.

As he sat down next to me, the breeze of his scent flew through my nose. It smelt so good; it was like this mixture of sweet mangos with normal cologne. It was the perfect amount.

"Where's your boyfriend?" he asked playfully.

"Ha ha ha. You're so freaking funny," I replied dryly with a grumpy, displeased look, slapping his arm three times.

He furrowed his eyebrows, expressing it with displeasure.

"I'm going to need you to stop hitting me," he hissed in annoyance, rubbing his arm.

"First of all, you're lucky that I only slapped you in your arm. You're an asshole you know that? I waited for you in the hallway for 25 minutes and guess what? Your best friend Alex told me that you left. You're lucky that I didn't kick you in the freaking nuts for ditching me today," I commented, glaring at him.

"I forgot," he answered in a witty response, acting like he's innocent.

"Oh you forgot? Should I make you remember then?" I replied with a forced and fake smile.

"Remind me then," he said huskily, leaning in towards me with that infuriating grin across his face.

I stared at him with disgust as my brows furrowed.

"You know what scene I can't wait for the most?" I asked him, ignoring his other comment.

"What the scene that you get to kiss me?" he queried with an amused smile across his face.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"No you wish. It's the scene where you died," I teased, blinking my eyes with sarcasm.

"Nice try with your witty comeback. It's also the scene that you die as well," he snickered, making me feel stupid.

"You're right," I muttered in defeat, turning to my side.

"Your comebacks have been so bad lately. What's happening? Cat caught your tongue?" he sneered.

"You're hilarious with your lame jokes," I said bluntly.

"Thanks I appreciate it," he replied back with mockery.

"I honestly do not get you. You seem like you have mood swings. Earlier, you were upset with me and now, you're being your usual annoying self," I blurted.

He shrugged his shoulders.

"It's called getting over it," he replied.

"And you said that I'm the one with the smart ass comments?" I muttered, rolling my eyes.

"What did you say?" he questioned.

"I said," as loudly as I can in his ears, "you have a smart mouth as well."

"First, you tried to break down my door and now, you're trying to break my eardrum," he joked, cracking up.

"Whatever. You're lucky that you're still alive," I replied, giving him an eyeroll. "But, anyways, I have a question."

"Shoot."

"So, my friend Dana is having a birthday party..." as i trailed off.

"And?"

"She wants you and your crew to come," I said.

"No."

"No?" I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.

"I don't want to go," he responded, grabbing his water bottle.

I snatched the water bottle out of his hand.

"Why not?! I thought you love parties? Aren't you like the king of parties or something?"

He chuckled.

"I don't go to parties that invovles people that I don't know."

"But, Dana is my friend? And, what are you talking about? You flirted with her that one time," I barked.

"Why are you getting so mad? I said that I don't want to go," he growled with an annoyed expression on his face.

"Fine. Let's just get this Romeo and Juliet over with, I grumped.

He shrugged his shoulders and didn't give a crap. How am I going to tell Dana? Ugh.

"Hey girl!" Dana greeted me excitedly.

"Hey birthday girl. Here's your gift," I greeted back with a smile, handing her a bag of gifts.

"What did you get me?" she asked with enthusiasm.

"Open it and you'll see," I replied.

"Oh my gosh! You shouldn't have! You could of given it to me at my party," she answered back, squeezing me with her right hug.

"Because it's your birthday today, I wanted to give you your gift on your actual birthday instead of waiting for the party," I explained with a smile.

She grabbed the box out of her gift bag and opened it up. It was a silver flower charm for her bracelet.

"I love it! Thank you so much!"

"No problem! What are friends for."

"So, did you ask Bradley?" she asked, putting her charm on her bracelet.

"I did," I replied.

"What did he say?"

"He said that he'll come," I lied.

I felt so bad lying to her. She wanted Bradley and his crew to come to her party and I couldn't say no at all especially when she wanted Alex to come. Knowing Alex, he won't go unless his friends are going to the party as well.

"Really? Yay! I'm so glad," she answered, clapping her hands.

"Yay..." I replied with a nervous and awkward smile.

"Great! So, I'll see you at my party tomorrow! Thanks for the gift again!" she shouted, leaving out the door.

"No problem! See you!" I shouted back, waving my hand goodbye.

I sighed.

Great... How am I going to get him to this party?
