Chapter 95: Epilogue

An excerpt from the diary of the last Vitalis Princess to ever marry a Lycan King:

My name is Hope Vitalis-Moratis. I am the last Vitalis princess to get married to a Lycan King.

Hundreds of years ago, humans were the only superior species on Earth. However, Lycans suddenly invaded the earth and dominated humans-this is what is written in the history books.

The truth is that, more than thousands of years ago, humans and Lycans lived in peace. But humans grew afraid and envious of Lycans who were more talented, stronger, and powerful than them.

They all put out their hands to drive away Lycans and surpress them within a hidden kingdom known as Moratia. Many years after, a Lycan King decided to change history by coming out of the shadows and breaking out from the hidden Kingdom, making it known to everyone.

The king did this with the help of a powerful witch who only appeared when the situation suited her. Thus, this particular Lycan King and his descendants punished humans for driving them out in the first place.

However, the humans they punished were only the descendants of the humans who had wronged the Lycans years ago, unaware of their ancestors' sins. So humans hated the Lycans as they could never understand the reason why they became slaves to them.

However, a particular human chose to rise to the occasion and clash with Lycans head on. This man, Vitalis, was never going to be successful with his plans. That was when his daughter took charge and turned things around, by offering herself to the Lycan king and striking a bet with him.

She never won the bet. Nor did any of her descendants. When I, Hope Vitalis-Moratis, took the throne, I ensured to turn things around. Knowing that the 'peace' everyone sought after was never going to be achieved if humans and Lycans were to continue living together, my husband, Darius Moratis, came up with a plan.

Just like in the past, the kingdom of Moratia went into hiding once again and was sealed from the humans. With Lycans no longer in the vicinity of humans, they would begin to forget about us and we will become myths to them.

Lycans and humans were not destined for true coexistence. This was the only way to attain true peace. As for my descendants, I hope you will understand all of this.

In summary, Humans and Lycans are like two sides of a coin; One in the same, but different all together.
