Chapter 107: J.

Sasha.

The underground prison was surprisingly cool, even though the outside would blaze like a furnace.

“Luna.”

“I need one prisoner to follow me for questioning.”

“But Luna, that's not how it's done. The council has to approve...”

“Approved what?” I stopped abruptly and faced him.

“Do you think I don't know this place is run without the idea of the council?”

“The Alpha has to...”

“I'm in a pretty good mood today, and I do not need you sullying it.”

“I apologize, Your Highness, but…”

“If I hear one more word from you…” I started, looking around at the guards, who looked like they would be killed if Zyle found out about my visit. “I'll rip your fangs out and feed them to your children.”

I didn't care for their lives anyway.

“Move,” I ordered, and they did.

The perks of being the wife of the most feared man in Lycos.

I walked down the unending bars of prisoners.

How would I be able to identify who J was?

“Take me to J’s prison.”

“We don't have anyone by that name, Luna.”

“Do you expect me to buy that?”

“We speak only the truth, Your Grace.”

“Who is looking for me at such an hour?” A voice cut through the argument.

Slowly, I turned to see that the voice was coming from the bar just a few paces from me.

Everyone in that prison looked like they were slowly dying away.

No strength to scream for help.

Nothing.

Just weakness and acceptance.

But he had answered, like a little bit of life still remained in him.

I walked towards the cell and was completely disappointed with what I saw.

The warlock was beautiful beyond comparison, yet this right here was not any better than a bum.

He looked like the exact definition of gluttony.

I had to finish what I had already started. If not, I'll help Zyle kill this guy off.

Was he really J?

Well, if he wasn't, he couldn't run away from me. It was obvious he was a low-grade human.

“Yeah. This one,” I said, stepping out.

“Get him out.”

“But…”

“You really want to lose your fangs, don't you?” I flashed a warning smile at him.

He moved away.

Of course, I couldn't really take on any of them, but they would never as much as lay a finger on me, even if they wanted to.

The cell keeper opened the door, and the man jumped out.

“I kept wondering how long it was going to take,” he said, stretching and cracking his limbs.

“Move.”

“Luna. Please, we need to confirm if the Alpha really wants the man released.”

“You think of me as a liar, don't you?”

“No, Your Grace.”

“Then shut up and move from my face.”

He did.

I pushed the man forward until we were out of the prison.

“So where are we heading?”

“Shut up and follow me.”

“Ooh. A feisty one.”

“Did he send you?”

I didn't reply. I walked to my car and hopped in.

“Ael, I mean.”

“Do you have a problem shutting up?”

“I need to know where you are taking me.”

He sat in the passenger seat of the car, and I began to drive directly to the Black Mouth.

“Your little friend missed you. Now shut up.”

“I see.”

I kept my eyes on the road, trying to get to the Black Mouth as fast as possible.

The faster I got there, the faster I got rid of this guy.

Suddenly, a hand came to my breast and squeezed.

Fuck me in the ass, he didn't just…

I held the steering wheel in one hand and slammed the side of my clenched fist into his mouth.

Once.

Twice.

He was already disfigured by the way.

“Urrgh… you… urrgh… kill me?”

“There is more where that came from.”

If he thinks just because I covered only half of my boobs so he could get a feel, then he was damn wrong.

I didn't mind taking him to the warlock, getting Monroe killed, and killing them both off.

Sounds like a good plan.

By the time we got to the Black Mouth, I noticed his mouth had been bleeding the whole time we were in the car.

“Hope that didn't stain my car seat.”

He looked at me like I was insane.

Poor human didn't know I wasn't the same to begin with.

We walked into the tunnel path before walking through the second door.

Ael, or whatever his name was, sat the way I had seen him earlier.

Slowly, he spun his chair to look at us.

“Hey, man. You took your time getting me out of there,” J said.

“I think you've forgotten who it is you are talking to. Might I remind you?”

“I'm sorry, man. But… I'd gone a long time without… you know… and I needed a whiff of sorts.”

Ael had a disgusted expression on his face before tossing a small parcel to J.

“Thanks, man.”

“On a rightful note, I'm not supposed to give you that because you are nothing but a cretinous dog. Oh my, what to do with my ever-so-good heart?”

I rolled my eyes.

“Scram,” he yelled at J.

I wondered if that was actually his friend or his dog.

Or maybe both.

“You've done well.”

“That isn't the deal. I've done my part, now do yours.”

“You really do run faster than your legs, don't you?”

“Don't play with me now, Ael.”

“The rat has told you my name, I see.”

“I'm not in the mood for jokes.”

“I don't fancy being a clown, you see, but I have something you need to do for me.”

I knew I couldn't trust him. All warlocks were known to be no better than liars.

“Get me something of hers. Whatever you can lay your hands on.”

I looked at him.

He was really going to kill her.

“That should do the trick.”
