Chapter 110: BONUS STORY: Tanya & Enzo 11

TWELVE:

Tanya's POV:

NOVEMBER.

AT NATALIA'S PROPOSAL DINNER PARTY…

Maybe now wasn't the best time to tell Natalia about my relationship with Enzo but I've hidden it for so long and I didn't know how much longer I'll be able to.

When I wanted to tell her the following month, she was kidnapped and since then it was one battle to the other for her. She was going through a lot and I didn't think it was okay to talk about my relationship, how happy I was, and all of that.  But today was the day.

Enzo agreed to tell Carlo today too.

While everyone drank and danced, I pulled her aside. Luckily she wouldn't be drunk since she couldn't drink while being pregnant.

“Hey, babes,” she smiled, hugging me. “Thank you for helping plan all this, I love it.”

“Anything for you, my love.” We pulled away and I held her gaze. “There's something I need to tell you.”

Her smile fell so fast it was almost comical. “Oh shit, who is dying?”

“No,” I laughed. “That's not… Why is that even your first thought?”

She let out of the breath she was holding. “Can you blame me? You took me aside while everyone's partying and then you said that with a serious face.”

“My bad then.”

“So, what's up?”

“I'm dating Enzo.”

There. That wasn't so hard.

A genuine smile lit her face. “You're seeing someone?”

I nodded, smiling back.

She squealed. “Oh my God, that's good news!” And then she paused. “He has the same name as Carlo's cousin.”

Uh oh…

She hadn't realized.

Awkward smile in place. “That's because the guy I'm dating is Enzo, Carlo's cousin.”

Her eyes grew wide, her mouth hanging open. “Bitch, shut the fuck up, you're kidding.”

“Yeah, no, I'm not…” I chuckled nervously.

She frowned. “How? When? I didn't even know. Where did you guys meet?”

“Okay, slow down, Nat. I'll answer all your questions.”

“Please do, ASAP!”

And then I spilled everything from the beginning and her eyes seemed to grow bigger each time. By the time I was done, she was smiling hard.

“This is crazy! Still can't  my ears!” She laughed. “Y'all hide it so well. But I'm happy for you, sweetheart.”

I knew she would. “Thank you, babes.”

“I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you when your mom was ill. I'm also sorry I didn't make you feel safe enough to tell me you danced at a club.”

I shook my head. “It's not your fault, please don't think that way.”

“Still—”

“Nope, don't blame yourself.”

“Fine. Does he make you happy?”

“Extremely happy.” My smile widened, the thought of my man had butterflies flapping their wings in my stomach. “He's the best, the sweetest man ever.”

She barked out a laugh, playing and shoving me. “Look at you, over heels in love. It's embarrassing.”

“Oh fuck off.”

Luca came over to drag her away, something about Carlo needing her, and I went in search of my man.

These past three months with him have brought me so much joy, love, peace, and of course, an earth-shattering orgasm.  If I'd known he wanted me as much as I wanted him, I would have spoken to me months back instead of fleeing.

He's met my mom, she likes him and he's very sweet to her. He's helped me a lot, patient with me, he's the best, believe me when I say that. We still have lots of things to figure out but with time, we know everything will fall into place.

No rush over here.

I moved closer to my man, admiring the back view of him in a dark navy blue button-down shirt that complimented his build and dark pants that did justice to those muscular thighs.

I touched his shoulder to get his attention. “Hey, baby.”

He turned, smiling widely. “la mia principessa.” He kissed my lips softly. “I guess you've told her?”

I nodded. “She's happy for me.”

“Carlo is too.” And then he looked around. “Want to get away from here? Everyone's distracted, they won't notice and we can come back after.”

I gave him a knowing look, smiling mischievously. “Lead the way, baby.”
