Chapter 54 - The Hybrid Queen

Chapter 54

When we finally make it downstairs, thankfully, we haven’t missed the start of breakfast yet. Mama Ruby got up with Brandon and helped him to get ready. She wanted to get as much time as she could with him before she left, and muma Belle did it yesterday. They are pretty good at sharing their time and making sure they don’t step on each others toes.

Mum and Gianna are happy to step back to let them have a turn since they are here with him every day, and my brothers are great with him, they all love to spend time with him helping to run down his energy for us and help keep him amused whenever they are with him.

I noticed we had an extra guest at the table with us. With everything going on yesterday, I hadn’t noticed Jeff’s attention had been on one person. A beautiful Gamma female from one of the packs in the Northern Kingdom. I am so happy for him. He was the last of them to meet his mate as it is usually the beta that travels with the Alpha’s until they meet their mate. Then, the Gamma is always there to protect the Luna, giving them more opportunities to meet their mates.

Flora is a lovely girl who should fit in our group really easily. Well, if Jeff ever let’s anyone near her. It definitely won’t be for the next week going by the way he seems to be glued to her side, and my brother doesn’t look much better with Natalia, to be honest.

Flora has done some training for the role already as her mum wanted her prepared just in case. Jeff’s mum will cover anything else she needs to learn with her. She is taller than me, not that that is hard at 5ft 8, and she has the darkest black hair with beautiful green and copper hazel eyes, Jeff is a total goner already.

Ian decides to take this moment to make an announcement to us all, with the whole family being together. It seems that they have had the chance to talk together, and he wants to take Killian up on his offer. Goddess, I love this man so much, I am so happy that I will have one of my brothers close to me, and I am not going to lose Natalia. All because my amazing mate wanted to keep my family and his Beta’s family together, he is so considerate and caring.

Guiseppe and Gio are over the moon that they are staying. They had no idea that Killian had even thought about giving Natalia and her mate a Beta’s position as well. Brandon is also excited that he gets to have one of his uncles staying with him, and he already adores Natalia, even more so since she became his auntie, he loves his family getting bigger and bigger.

If only some of my other brothers could find mates here and move beside us, we could get some more cute little fae lycan hybrid babies. Unfortunately, that is not very likely to happen no matter how much I want it to. Still, it is a nice thought, and at least I now have one brother here.

I can tell that dad, muma Belle, and my other two brothers from dad are going to miss Ian, but they really like Natalia, and they are happy for him, so they support his choice. Besides, both dad and Killian have a private plane, which makes it so much quicker and easier whenever we want to see each other.

They will go back with dad to spend a couple of days with the family and get all of Ian’s things packed up before travelling back here. It will give him a chance to say goodbye to all his friends and let them meet his new mate.

When they get back, Tasha will help train Natalia for her new position, and Gio will train Ian. Ian has already done some work with other packs and other things being a royal prince so it is just a case of expanding on that and Gianna has helped out with Gio before with things here and there before he met Tasha so at least she knows the basics. It won’t take them long to get them both up to speed with their roles.

Jeff will be leaving later on today to go back to Flora’s pack with her so he can help her to get her things and meet the rest of her family. She was only there alongside her unmated brother he still needed to meet her parents and younger brother back at her old pack.

George will step in for him while he is away if I need any protection. To be honest he is in the protection detail most of the time anyway so it won’t be much of a change, and I have no plans which will take me out of the pack for the next few days, so it is the perfect time for him to be away.

I have called Sienna to fill her in on everything that happened. She found it quite amusing that I decked a king for her, but I knew she would do the same for me. I did let her know he had a drastic change of heart, and he looked like he knew how much he scr.ewed up.

I also passed on the message from his dad, King Augustus, and all his contact details as well. At least she now knows he is searching for her. Augustus is a fabulous old guy, I have spoken to him often in my work, and I love his good nature and wicked sense of humour. His mate Genevieve is charming and fierce, but also very down to earth. I am not sure what they did to end up with that idiot as their son.

I think it is a case of only child syndrome. You either get the ones like me who are fiercely independent and really close with their parents. Or end up with the spoiled brats like Jamison and Sirius, I think the more power they have, the more bratty they can be.

Sienna at least knows Augustus well also and should know that he will be in her corner if she ever needs it without selling her out to his son. For now, I think she will be trying to keep off of all of their radars while she decides what she wants to do next.

By Wednesday, we had Jeff and Flora back in the pack, and in their roles, her parents came to stay for a week with her younger brother to help her settle in. Her big brother was busy with his pack work, so couldn’t come as well.

Cory her brother was excited to be here and meet the lycan King, he thought it was cool his sister was now a lycan, or well will be in the next day or two when she completed the change. He also had loads of questions for George and I about the elite squad.

Being the youngest, he knew he would never hold a position, so he loved the thought of joining the elite squad when he is old enough. We offered to show him some training while he was here to give him a head start on his dream. His mum was happy about it, it has been his dream for years and at 16 in two years if he doesn’t meet his mate in his pack he could easily try out for it, especially if he visits his sister often and gets some extra training in from us.

It was a nice change training, Cory. I always enjoyed helping the teens and kids with training at my old pack. I think it is definitely something I would like to help out with again. I already visit all the different ages of pups as often as I can to interact and help in any way I can.

Ian and Natalia came back on Friday, and dad and muma Belle joined them for the weekend. With Callum and Vlad taking over, they have more spare time now and can visit as often as they like, which is great. It gives us two whole days together before they take up their new roles.

It is great how it has all worked out, after worrying that it would be me on my own here, I now have mum and Ian with me. I also have Tasha as my beta and George one of my squad brothers here, and just a pack away, I have Cara and Julie. I have also gained an extra brother in Gio and 2 sisters in Krista and Natalia. I am surrounded by people I love and who love me back. Then there are my most important boys, Brandon and Killian, who are both just my heart and soul.

Also, in only a month and a half, my first nephew will arrive for me to spoil. I can not wait for him to be born, I am just as excited for Callum’s 2 we still don’t know what they are having with the pregnancy being longer we won’t know what they are having for another month. I really hope we get one girl out of them it will be nice to buy some girly baby things as well.
