Chapter 52: The Hybrid Queen

So I go through all of the ceremony where I say my pledge as Queen do the blood bond with killian and Gianna passes the torch to me then I drink from the ceremonial cup to link me to all of the packs in the South kingdom. I can now mindlink anyone in the South kingdom, which is handy for my girls it saves a call or text message to organise things.

As soon as the ceremony is over, Killian wastes no time in pulling me into his arms and giving me a soul destroying kiss. My panties would be ruined right now if I was wearing any. Brandon quickly wants to join us in the celebrations as we pull him up into a group hug between the three of us. As far as he is concerned, this makes it official that we are all one family now, and he is over the moon about it. I am sure he is the one that will be front and centre over all the papers in the morning. He is too adorable not to be.

We enjoy a spectacular meal with my two men on either side of me. The atmosphere is happy as everyone mingles between themselves. I can see Natalia chatting with my brother Ian quite a lot, and I am sure there is quite a bit of flirting going on there. I know Ian has his Lycan now as well. He is 6 months younger than Natalia. I am not sure if they are mates or if they are just really into each other.

Natalia is not the type of girl to mess around with someone who isn’t her mate, and neither is Ian. My brothers all believe in the bond, and all are waiting on their mate. They are good boys. If she is mated to Ian, it means we lose her she will be miles away in dad’s kingdom. It is just someone else I love living far away from me.

Killian can feel my worry about it, so I tell him my thoughts. It is not that I don’t want them to be mates, I would be so happy for them, they would be perfect for each other. I just don’t want to have anyone else living away from me. Natalia has become an important part of my life.

Killian is quick to settle me down and let’s me know he has a plan for Natalia’s mate being his second beta as there is so much more work as a royal than a normal Alpha, it is not unheard of to have a second beta or Gamma in the ranks.

I wonder if Ian would be open to that idea, I mean, he technically doesn’t have a proper role in dad’s or should I say Callum’s kingdom. Callum already has his Beta and Gamma and hasn’t even considered asking any of our brothers to be a second Beta or Gamma to lighten the load. This is why many of them join the elite squad to feel useful and have a purpose in life.

After the meal, we make our way into the grand hall. Killian and I start things off with our first dance as the other couples join in. After my dance with Killian, Brandon is next up then I work my way through dancing with all four of my dad’s, after that I have to dance with all 5 of my brother and then Vlad.

Being mated now, the other royals and Alpha’s leave me alone and set their eyes on the other good prospects in the room, which is fine for me. It takes enough time to just dance with my family. I finally managed to get back to Killian, and we can have some time together.

“I had a chance to talk to your brother, and it looks like you were right, Natalia is his mate” he says, smiling.

“Why are you smiling it means we will lose her then” I complain as he whisks me around the dance floor.

“I told you I had a plan for that my love didn’t I, I asked Ian if he would consider becoming my second Beta, as I was wanting to offer the position to Natalia’s mate when she met him and that I was more than pleased with the moon goddesses choice for her, and that I am sure his sister would be ecstatic if one of her brothers would be moving beside her” he says smugly.

“Well what did he say? It better fu.cking be good if you are teasing me like this” I warn him.

“Well let me think it was a long time ago, with all the dances you have had” he says, pretending to ponder before I slap his arm as he chuckles at my impatience.

“Fine fine, he said he was really interested, but he would have to talk with his mate first before he gave me an answer, but he would love to live beside his sister and be close to her” he says more seriously.

“He really said that” I said excitedly.

“Yes my love, don’t get too excited he needs to talk to Natalia first and obviously your family before he can give is a definite answer, but he is interested in accepting the position” he says smiling.

“Goddess I love you, thank you so much. Not only have you tried to make sure I haven’t lost someone, you have maybe given me my brother beside me all the time. I am so lucky to have you next to me in my life” I say before kissing the hell out of him.

“Well I think I need to think of more ways to please you if I get this reaction” he says cheekily “I have to say though I am definitely the lucky one, you my love are perfect, I don’t deserve you but I am selfish enough to hold on to you and never let you go. I could have never picked a better mate for myself or a better mum for Brandon and my future pups. You, my love, are one of a kind, and I am the lucky bas.tard that gets to wake up to you every fu.cking day” he says, his voice filled with emotion.

“How in the hell do I top that. All I know is that you and Brandon are my life, and I love you both more than anything. No matter what happens from now and how many more children we have, Brandon will always be my first, and I will love him just as much as any others we have. Calla is the same as far as she is concerned he is ours just as much as if we carried him and gave birth to him ourselves” I say, looking deep onto his eyes.

“I know my love, and you have no idea how much that means to me. His own mother didn’t care about him, even a fraction of what you do. You are his true mother, and he felt that as soon as he met you just as you did. I was the only one who was late to the party. I will always be grateful to you for being a part of his life while I was getting my act together. I wasted so much time” he says sadly.

“It is in the past now, and all that matters is now, our son is happy, and so are we. You needed the time to get over your pain. There is nothing wrong with that. You would not have been able to give me your everything if you were still holding on to ghosts. Now we can have a fresh start, and that is all that matters” I say honestly.

“You are probably right, I just wish I didn’t have to cause you any pain while I was getting my sh.it sorted” he admitted.

“It is in the past, now we look to the future” I say before kissing him again. It is time to put this whole conversation in the past and for him to forgive himself.

The evening goes really well. There are no arguments or big bust ups, Jamison did apologise to Julie as well for his treatment towards her. Luckily, her mate did not hit him and heard his apology and accepted it gracefully.

He actually met a lovely Beta’s daughter from the South kingdom, she was a bit wary at first until mum spoke to her and she heard the steps he had made to change. She also heard about the apologies he had made and that he was trying to make things right.

She is not accepting him straight away, but she is giving him a chance to prove himself to her. I think she could really be the making of him. She is strong and sassy, exactly what he needs to sort him out and make the pack thrive, and Luna Darla is gonna love her.

People were curious about the absence of King Sirius, but we just said to anyone who asked that a pack emergency came up and he had to nip home to sort it. It needed the Kings attention, and there was nothing he could do to prevent it, and he sent his apologies.

We didn’t do it for his sake. None of us wanted to let anyone know of Sienna’s private business. It is up to her who she wants to know about it and when. The former King Augustus had already contacted me this morning when I was getting ready and asked that I give Sienna his details if she ever needed anything.

I let him know I would pass it along to her along with his sons details when I spoke to her next, but I was not promising anything. I understand how anxious he is about it. He thinks the world of her already, and now he is concerned that she is carrying his grandchildren and wants to do anything he can to help her. I know he will keep any contact away from Sirius after his monumental fu.ck up if that is what she wants and needs for now. He is one of the good ones.
