Chapter 26: Calm down.

Three months after the court sanctioned the agreement to their union.

Beta Sean and princess Juliana got married, and it was the wedding of the year.

The following week, alpha Erik called a meeting and announced our Union.

Everyone was surprised, but I kept calm, after all, I don't have a mate and I couldn't even read my future.

He could not marry me because he had a mate he is married to, should I say that was what I thought at first, but after our Union I began to see another form of hi m entirely.

He is so ruthless, especially if I refuse to let him mate with him.

“ Why did you let him have you in the first place?” Maurine asks.

Lucia scoffs and said, " It's a secret between me and alpha Erik and I can't tell anyone until I have a strong reason to do so.”

Maurine nods and said alright, continue.

Six months later, I took in and during those periods I was not allowed to visit the Romero's mansion that often but your mother and Jeff's mother, who was equally pregnant would always visit me.

Those days were the happiest days in my entire life.

We will sit down there in the garden only in the evening because of your mother's situation. We will play, joke and laugh together.

Three years later, Juliana also took in.

She came to me one day and started crying.

“ What's the matter with you, Juliana?” I asked concerned because I have never seen her crying before even when she pleaded for her life before passing out, when I first met her in the woods she was not crying. Then what could be the problem?

I asked myself as she continues sobbing into a napkin.

After a while, she calmed down and her face was red from crying.

“ Can you tell me what the matter really is?” I asked again, worried.

“ Sean is on a business trip and our family doctor came to check on me, and he confirmed that I am two months pregnant.” She said bewildered.

“ Wow! Congratulations! That's a great news, have you informed Beta Sean?” I asked.

“ No, but the doctor informed him already.” She said, still sniffing in air.

“ Was that the reason you were crying?” I asked surprised.

“ Yeah.” She nods as tears clouded her eyes again.

“ I don't know how to process everything that is happening, did you think I deserve to be a mother, because I'm afraid I don't really know what it means to be a mother!” She said, her voice filled with pain.

“ What is the matter, Juliana?” Annabelle asks as soon as she arrives.

“ Jeffery, go and play with Damien and Kyle.” She said to her three year old son.

“Okay mummy” Jeff said and took his heels towards the children's garden.

“ Annabelle, I'm pregnant.” Juliana said, forcing a smile.

“ Oh! Honey, congratulations! This calls for a celebration.” She said joyfully.

“ But why are you crying? You should be happy that you are becoming a mother very soon.” Annabelle said, giving the sweetest smile.

“ That is the problem, how can I become a good mother when I have no idea of what a mother really means.” She said, huffing in desperation.

“ Okay, calm down and let me explain this to you.” Annabelle said in a gentle manner.

“ Did you know being a mother is the simplest and yet, the toughest task ever?” She asked, studying Juliana's face.

“ But you will be the one to choose the method you want, but mind you, either way you will surely encounter the two.” She said in a serious tone.

“ So what I'm trying to say is that being a mother is unique, it doesn't require much physical training, but it entails a lot of emotional support.” Annabelle said smiling.

“ I know you will serve as the best mother, because you are the most special being I'd ever seen.” Annabelle said, squeezing Juliana's hands lovingly.

“ But I can't even make the simplest meal or do anything for myself, I am always envious of you whenever you are cooking for your family. It makes me feel useless.” She said crying.

“ I can help you with that.” I volunteered.

“Yeah, we will all do it together.” Annabelle said, hugging the both of us.

We all start the cooking class, and it takes about three months for your mother to learn how to make varieties of food.

Your father is always supportive and that makes it easier for your mother to adjust to the new life, a gorgeous life.

And she really deserves it because she really did not have a life until she met your father.

Things we're rosy for us as we do everything together, shopping, going camping, fishing and partying together.

And the day you were born was the happiest day ever for everyone in moon rose life. The joy of arrival blossoms many people's business life and even the less privileged have the nicest food to eat that very day, your father throws a feast and gave some percentage of his shares to some close friends like, Alpha Erik, priest Ricardo and some other elites in the pack just to show how joyous he was.

Beta Sean is always the best of all men, and he remains so until his death.

About 5pm a day before he died we were in a meeting, discussing the issue of how to strengthen our defense because there were rumors that some vampires were sneaking into our territory, and they were killing the young werewolves mercilessly.

In the middle of our discussion, your father's phone rang, and he checks the caller's ID, it turns out to be your mother. He excused himself to pick the call and returned shortly, telling us that" Juliana and I are expecting a baby boy.” He screams, and we all forget our discussion and jubilate with him.

We celebrate the pregnancy over a few bottles of expensive wine.

Then he drove off to celebrate with his family.

But to our surprise, he came back angry and wild.

“ I can't find my wife and my daughter at home!” He growls, kicking his car, and the car went flying in the air before it lands and crashed to pieces.

It was horrifying because I have never seen him so angry before, his anger sent a chill down everyone present spine.

“ Calm down Sean, she might have gone out to get some things.” Alpha Erik said frightened.

“ How dare you tell me to calm down, " huh." how dare you.” He charges forward as if he wants to tear the alpha broken.

He hands a letter to the Alpha, " take this, the bastard even have the guts to tell me he has my family.” Beta Sean growls in annoyance.
