Chapter 55
He hungrily claimed my lips once again. I gasped when I felt the searing pain in between my thighs. Tears trailed down the side of my face and he gently kissed them goodbye. He intertwined our fingers before kissing me again. "It's alright... The pain will soon be gone, baby." he whispered.
His lips found their way to my jaw. low moans left my lips when I felt his soft kisses. I felt him move, but his kisses made me lose my mind. I couldn't focus on the pain anymore. The sensation his kisses were giving slowly drove the pain away.
Every thrust, a moan leaves my lips. his hips moved faster and the pain finally subsided. All there is left is the burning sensation we are sharing.
I tightened my grip on his hand. Soft moans left his lips as his rhythm went faster. I can feel something inside me that wants to explode. Both of us want to reach something.
he let go of my hand. His arms curled on my waist. I screamed at the top of my lungs when two sharp teeth bit my neck as we reached the climax. His thrust went slower until it finally stopped. He kissed the spot where he placed his mark.
His warm and heavy breath fanned my skin. I hooked my arms on his neck. I'm also catching my breath. It was surprising that the part he bitten didn't hurt.
I brushed my fingers on his hair. A smile crossed my lips. I felt peace. I finally have his mark.
He rolled on the other side of the bed. he pulled me closer and laid me on his chest. He gently placed a kiss on my head. He held my chin then lifted my face. A faint smile tugged at his lips. He gently caressed my cheek.
"You're officially mine..."
I flicked the pen on the table absent-mindedly. I looked again at the recipe I was writing.
I heard footsteps coming towards my place. I smiled when I felt him kiss the top of my head before he sat in the seat across from me. his cup of coffee on his hand.
"What are your plans for today? Hmm?" he murmured before sipping his coffee.
I looked up and thought. "I'd like to make a new recipe," I mumbled. I looked at the sky from the glass window. "The rain is coming. maybe I'll just hurry up shopping for what I need." I said then turned to him again.
His eyebrow raised in amusement. His lips have a slight curve. "Would you like me to give you a ride?" he said.
I shook my head. "I know you need to go to the borders now. Grant needs you. I can drive alone." I folded my notebook. "Just make sure you'll be here early for dinner." I said smiling.
His smile gradually widened. he stood up and sat on the edge of the table next to me. He folded his arms across his chest. "What will you prepare for dinner?"
I smirked then raised an eyebrow. "Secret." I murmured.
A soft chuckle left his lips. He leaned down until he reached my lips. He gave me a sweet kiss on my lips. He gently removed my hair covering his mark. A sweet one
a smile appeared on his lips when he saw it. "My mark really looks good on you."
I smiled at what I heard. I held his hand and looked into his eyes. "Have you talked to Miss Chleo?"
The curve in his labu was slightly lost. He shook his head. "She's avoiding me. She doesn't want to talk to me."
"Because you're the one who judges right away. You hurt Miss Chleo. you should apologize to her. Beg if you needed to." I said.
He let out a deep breath. "For some reason, Chleo deserves it. She's been confused since the day the council said they want Drako to be the new Alpha. chleo and Drako have a history and my sister, although she's on my side, I know deep inside her, she believes Drako."
I frowned. "What did Draco do to make you hate him like that?"
His jaw tightened. He cleared his throat. "Drako used to be my best friend. he's my first choice to be the Beta before once I become the Alpha. Not until his parents betrayed mine. They killed my folks during an attack so they wouldn't be thought to be the ones who did it. They were unlucky and Jaimie saw them. She told us everything. I killed them with my own hands. Draco begged me to spare his parents lives but I didn't listen. I was so furious at that time. I never thought they'd betray my parents. We were the closest families before but just because of envy, they were able to forget the decades of friendship. Because of what I did, both Drako and I were broken. my sister chose to stand by my side and leave him. Because of that,
Draco was furious with him. He's blaming me for everything. He lost everything so he also took the girl I love from me. even though there is no evidence to show that he killed Jaimie, he is the only one I can see who could do it because he hates me and I have a strong hunch that he has an accomplice in the council."
I was not moved by what I heard. not once did I dare to ask why they no longer had parents. Just because of power and envy, two people became orphans.
I gently squeezed his palm. A sad smile crossed his lips. I stood up and hugged him. It's been a few years but I still miss him.
His grief for his parents, and his grief for the friendship they shared.
Losing a friend is like losing a part of your soul. and no matter how hard you try to fill the spaces again with another friend, it will never be the same anymore.

I picked up a fresh tomato and smelled it before placing it in the plastic. When the salesman picked up what I bought, he handed it to me with a smile.
"You can also add white onions so it'd taste better."
I turned to the man who spoke from my side. He smiled at me while folding his arms.
"DL..." I mumbled.
His smile grew wider.
"Told you we'd meet again, Savanah."
I smiled. I'm not comfortable with people I don't know well, but there was something about him that made me feel at ease with him.
"Are you shopping too?" I asked.
He shook his head. "No, I was just passing by when I saw you. Would you like to have a cup of coffee? I've got this new espresso machine at my restaurant." He said with a smile.
I didn't move for a moment. I looked up at the sky. It seems that the heavy rain will fall forever in just a few moments. Maybe I should pass it by before going home.
I smiled smilingly. "Alright.I also want to see your restaurant." I mumbled.
"Okay, let's go before the rain catches up with us." he said. He came and took my purchases. "Let me help you."
Before I could say no, he grabbed the plastic from me and started walking. I just followed until we reached a restobar where someone was playing acoustic music.
