Chapter 46
when I finally got inside I looked at Grant again. There was a tired smile on his lips.
"I have to go help the others. There are some deltas guarding around the castle so you have nothing to worry about." it sucks.
We nodded sadly. "Be careful." said Mrs. perkins.
Grant just nodded and walked away. My shoulders slumped. I sat on the floor and hugged my knees. I felt sister Beth put me aside.
"My God, this is the third attack this year. I hope now Alpha can kill all the enemies." He pulled out his hair.
I was unable to answer. Even though I've only been in Brenther for a few weeks, somehow I've already fallen in love with this place. I hope Layco succeeds. I hope no one gets hurt on their side.
With each passing minute more and more worry creeps into everyone's system. Almost no one could speak because of fear.
Soon some noises echoed from above. sounds of heavy objects flying and hitting the wall, loud and debilitating groans, laughter that brought more fear to us.
A few moments later we heard some footsteps towards our place. We all stood up and gathered in a corner. almost no one was breathing. Mrs. Perkins never stopped signing the cross with fear.
Three unfamiliar men stopped in front of the cell. Their eyes are all burning golden yellow. The smiles drawn on their lips were scary.
One tried to touch it
the railing but he immediately backed away and moaned in pain. The palm he held on the railing started to smoke.
"Silver..." the man said meaningfully then looked at us again. My heart almost jumped out of my chest when he stared at me. a meaningful smile appeared on his lips again.
They looked at each other meaningfully. Later they rattled their fists and necks. Their appearance gradually changed until they doubled in size and their sharp claws and teeth came out.
we all screamed when they worked together to tear down the railing even though they were moaning and their hands were smoking.
After a while they finally succeeded. The eyes of the man who first tried to grab the railing earlier were focused on me again. I fell back when he took my companions away one by one. They hit the wall and fell to the floor almost unconscious.
My tears started to fall when my back was against the cold wall. I clutched my chest. Its roar is deafening. it's happening again. This time, will I die?
My knees were shaking and I completely lost my strength when the man put his hairy arm on the side of my head as if he was locking me up. He chuckled softly as he pulled a few strands of my hair.
I sobbed when I felt his sharp nails on my cheek. I finally moaned when I defecated it. It's like my skin is being torn.
My grip tightened on the hem of my blouse
when he removed the collar of my dress until my right shoulder was exposed. I cried even more when he put his face there and smelled me.
"What will happen to your Alpha if he finds out I was the one before you?" he said meaningfully and laughed again.
I bit my bottom lip. I can't move anymore. I want to run away but I can't. It was like I was nailed to where I was standing.
A gasp escaped my mouth when the man squeezed my shoulder wound. I fainted and fell to the floor. Blood slowly flowed from what should have been a healing wound.
"Maybe we should have some fun..." he chuckled again like a demon. I pulled back and hugged myself as he took off the t-shirt he was wearing then started to unbuckle his belt.
"Don't... P-please..." my voice cracked. my fear is overwhelming and all I can do is cry and pray that someone will come and save me.
I cried again when the man forced me to stand up. The two with him are like demons behind and seem to be comforting to see.
"Easy little human... I'll make sure you'll never forget how I'll fuck you." the laugh he let out seemed like a demon.
I struggled when he pinned my back against the wall and tried to tear the blouse I was wearing. My screams and begging could be heard all over the place.
"That's right! 'Don't! It's like you have mercy!" I repeated but my begging did nothing.
Faded
my eyes are full of tears. I'm slowly losing hope. My clothes are in tatters and my chest is exposed with only my bra remaining.
I closed my eyes when the man brought his face closer to my neck. There was no place for the intense fear and anger in my chest.
Later I heard a groan and two heavy objects fell to the floor.
I opened my eyes. even if my eyes are blurry, even if he looks different, I know, it's him. He came...
The man let go of me and I fell to the floor. Layco's growl echoed in the whole place. He immediately picked up the man then threw him against the wall. It is not yet satisfied. he approached her again and buried his hand in her chest. His jaw clenched in a dangerous way when he pulled the guy's heart out of his chest.
Later, Miss Chleo came rushing in with Grant and several other deltas. They were all dirty and obviously from a fierce battle. when Miss Chleo saw my appearance, she immediately picked up Layco's jacket and put it on me. I sobbed again as he helped me stand up. He immediately rubbed my back. "Shh. You're okay now."
He motioned for Grant to come over to help me. when Grant placed my arm around his neck, Miss Chleo stepped towards Layco, who had his back turned. His fists were clenched and his shoulders heaved violently.
"We are getting weaker, Layco. We almost lose this fight! Our people need you to do your job. but we also need space. Until when
you put your ego first, huh?" Miss Chleo's voice broke completely. She waited for an answer but she didn't receive anything from Layco. instead, he turned around and was about to leave when Miss Chleo pulled his arm to force him to face her. Everyone was stunned when he slapped his brother's cheek hard.
"You knew, right from the first day you saw her from your balcony. You felt it. I saw you, Layco. You know he is the person we need." Miss Chleo said firmly. She wiped the wetness from her cheek.
Layco's jaw clenched. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Miss Chleo rubbed her forehead. "How will you explain that night, when she was attacked in the woods? This? You can feel the things she feels, Lay. Our people need a luna. Please. Be a man. Jaimie is dead. Move--"
"AND WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! SITTLE DOWN, MARK HER JUST BECAUSE SHE LOOKS LIKE MY FREAKING DEAD GIRLFRIEND?! SHE'S WEAK, CLUMSY, AND FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD, CHLEO! SHE'S HUMAN!" Layco's loud and intense voice stopped everyone from breathing.
But of all the people with us, I was the most affected by what he said. every word he uttered was like daggers that pierced my chest.
I bent down and bit my lower lip to stop myself from crying.
"Fine! Then let her go back to Bersant, then. Let the bond falter. She's not here but all you do is confuse her. Go ahead, Layco! send him away, after all, you have no intention of accepting the truth-"
"SO BE IT!" Layco snorted again. My bite on my lower lip got dirtier but no matter what I did, the corners of my eyes only hurt more. I tearfully stared at his back.
He let out a violent sigh before uttering the words that completely broke my heart.
"Grant, take Savanah back to Bersant..." He mumbled before he finally made his way out.
Tears came to my eyes when I saw him leave.
