Chapter 29: Determined and confident
Leo quickly swerved the car to the left, narrowly avoiding an accident that could have been fatal. Hazel breathed a sigh of relief, although fear was still on her face.
After making sure the car was stable again, Leo glanced at Hazel worriedly. "Hazel, are you okay?" he asked, his eyes filled with guilt.
Hazel turned her head, trying to compose herself. She smiled slightly even though her hands were still shaking. "I'm fine, Leo. Just continue our journey. You did nothing wrong," she said softly, trying to reassure Leo who still looked tense.
Leo nodded slowly, his eyes back on the road, but there was still a worried look on his face. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel, making sure to be more careful this time. Hazel placed her hand on Leo's shoulder, applying a slight pressure as a sign of support.
"Seriously, Leo, I'm fine," Hazel said again, this time in a calmer voice. Leo took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, trying to shake off the guilt clouding his mind.
They continued on their way, the silence between them feeling more soothing after the incident. Hazel looked out the window, trying to enjoy the passing scenery, while Leo focused on the road ahead.
Anne pondered worriedly, trying to figure out where Sarah could be. She walked towards the servants and bodyguards her face filled with tension.
"You must know where Sarah is, right?" she asked in a slightly raised tone.
The servants shook their heads in dismay. "Sorry ma'am, we really don't know," they replied regretfully.
Anne let out a frustrated sigh. "Damn it!" she hissed, tapping the table with emotional hand gestures.

Anne sat in her car furious. Her heart was not at ease as she felt certain that Lucian would meet up with Sarah. "I need to see where she's going." she hissed.
Meanwhile, Lucian felt a sense of tension as he saw Anne suddenly appear in the rearview mirror of his car. "Why did she have to come now?" he muttered, trying to rack his brain for a solution.
"I'll destroy that girl if I see her," he said.
Cautiously, Lucian chose to turn the car into a men-only bathhouse. He hoped Anne wouldn't follow him any further.
Anne, meanwhile, was thinking hard. "Does he know that I've been following him?" she muttered as she took a deep breath. With steady steps, she left the place.
After being sure that Anne was leaving, Lucian exchanged his car with a man he met on the spot.
"You came by car?" Lucian asked the man with glasses, while his eyes radiated firmness.
The man nodded, "Yes, I did. Is there a problem?"
"I want to swap cars with you," Lucian said with his right hand scratching his head, his expression full of anticipation.
"Anyway, if your car is better, I agree," he said with a frown, his hands clenching the steering wheel.
Lucian showed his car proudly, his smile broadening. The man was surprised to see it, his eyes widening in disbelief. Without saying much, he immediately agreed to the exchange, while his hands trembled as he crossed them.
After the exchange was complete, Lucian rushed towards the Villa, his steps quick and steady, his heart pounding to see Sarah, his face beaming, his eyes shining with hope.
Inside the magnificent Villa, soft light emanates from the crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling. A tranquil atmosphere prevailed all around, dotted only by the rustling of the fire in the fireplace that gave warmth to the room. Sarah was standing in front of the large window, gazing at the beautiful garden view outside, when the sound of approaching footsteps made her turn around.
"Sarah," Lucian thought with a gentle smile, his steps stopping right behind her.
Sarah turned around and was surprised to see Lucian. "Mr. Lucian?" she murmured, slightly confused.
"There's no need to be tense," Sarah thought, seeing a different Lucian than usual.
"Mr. Lucian? What happened to that car?" thought Sarah, pointing at the beat-up car parked in the garage.
Lucian approached her with steady steps, hugging Sarah tightly. Sarah stiffened in his embrace, unable to hide her confusion.
"Sir, what's going on?" asked Sarah, her voice sounding shaky.
"You're going to stay here, with me," Lucian said firmly, his eyes looking directly into Sarah's eyes.
Sarah felt her confusion growing. "But why?" she demanded, trying to find an answer.
"Promise me you'll never run away again," he pleaded, his voice soft yet filled with certainty.
Sarah nodded, still transfixed in Lucian's arms. She sensed relief from the look on Lucian's face, though still not fully understanding what was really going on.
Anne walked into Andrew's house with a tense face. "Andrew, can we talk for a minute?" she asked.
Andrew raised his eyebrows with a smile, "Sure, Anne. What's wrong?"
"Look, I need your help. I'm looking for Lucian," Anne said in a serious tone.
Andrew squinted, trying to contain his smile, "Lucian? Has he disappeared or is he having fun with mortals?"
Anne looked at him sharply, "This is serious, Andrew. I need your help to find him. And... to end it all."
Andrew felt the atmosphere change, "I'm sorry, Anne. But I can't help you."
"Why?" asked Anne with disappointment.
Andrew shook his head, "I don't know. I don't know."
Anne grunted in frustration then pulled some money out of her pocket and dropped it on the floor angrily. Andrew immediately crawled over, picking up the money quickly.
"If you had known from the start, I would have helped you," Andrew said with a regretful smile.
"Just look for you two, I'll find you!" she said confidently.
