Chapter 59

Daisy -

18 years ago I was born to the boss of New York and his wife Mara, who are my parents. When I was born I was the fourth girl out of the bunch.

As I Grew I found out and overheard stories about my parents, how they first started out. About all of the difficulties that come with marrying into a Mafia Family.

And how hard it is to stay true to oneself, and still be true to the one you married. I heard about how my father strayed a little bit during the marriage.

I was told by my older brother that our father had at least three mistresses and that it completely destroyed our mother when she found out that he's cheating.

The pain that she had within her was so much that she actually left with my brothers at the time, but she was unable to get too far because he found her and brought her back home.

All these stories that I heard about my parents were very interesting to see at the very least but what made them consistent or should I say how they always come back to each other.

They had major issues between each other and without any shadow of a doubt there should have been no reconciliation between them but they did, they were able to find that they were able to get past it. So much they were able to build a family leading up to me.

For my father he was able to clean up his act incredibly, cutting off any mistresses that he had in the past completely devoted himself to our mom once again. Both of them became true to each other once again like it was in the beginning.

Focusing on their family and their empire that they wanted to create which they were successful but things like that do not always last. What I mean by that is how I over-listened outside of my father's office when he was doing business.

I was able to find out that he's having some conflict with another Mafia Family, and this Mafia Family belongs to Greece.

Unfortunately that was the only thing I can find from eavesdropping outside of my father's office because it gets very difficult now because of the growing number of guards that are patrolling the house inside and out.

As of right now I am just trying to figure out what I can do for my life. I have just turned 18 and I was hoping that I can discuss with my parents about going to a College of my choosing.

I do plan on discussing that with them hopefully later tonight during dinner, in the back of my mind I do hope that they say yes about the college but I have a feeling in my bones that will not happen.

I just got on my nerves because it's the right thing to do. Heading up to my room to just stay there until dinner starts, and plus this gives me enough time to come up with my speech towards both of my parents for the college I want to do.

I have to make sure that I have every point correct, I have to remain firm and confident during my speech.

Daisy -

Knocking was heard from my door.

" Come in" I said, seeing that it was one of the maids.

" Madam, Sir told me to let you know to dress nice for dinner tonight" the maid said

" Oh? Is someone coming to dinner tonight?" I asked her wanting to know

" Yes ma'am, very important" the maid said

I wanted to say more to her but she left before I could ask her.

Shrugging it off I make my way to my closet trying to find something nice for dinner tonight because of this unknown guest that is coming over. If Dad wants me to dress nice for dinner tonight then so be it.

Going over every piece of clothing I had in my closet trying to find the best ones for tonight's event coming to a full stop when I found the right outfit to wear.

Grabbing my outfit I make my way to the bathroom to get myself ready. Getting a nice warm shower just trying to enjoy the peace inside of the shower before I make my way out of the bathroom.

When I left the shower I made sure that I had my fluffy towel wrapped around me as I do the rest of my routine before getting into my outfit of choice.

Finishing everything in no time I made my way down the stairs where I was able to see that everybody was down in the dining room waiting for this guest to arrive.

I was already sitting at the table just waiting for this whole night to be over because those outfits are uncomfortable to say the very least. I just want this guest to arrive and leave. After a moment the silence broke between everybody that was inside of the room.

I was able to see everybody's faces, I was able to see that their faces became pale when the doorbell rang. Making me confused on who it could be to specially cause almost everybody in the room their faces to pale.

I watched the guards that were inside of the house open up the door where I was able to see more men coming to the house. At this point I could not count how many people were inside of the house.

But as they came further inside of the dining room I was able to point out one of the group of the men that came inside of the house. Lazarus Bouras.

What the head of the Greek Mafia was inside of our house. This matter made me even more confused on what was happening and why he was here. I did think at first on why he was here that maybe father was going to plan a truce of sorts with him but I'm not entirely sure.

The one thing that made me unsettled was how Lazarus was looking at me. That he never took his eyes off of me, it definitely made me uncomfortable on how he was doing what he was doing.

I made sure the rest of the dinner I did not make any eye contact with him. My father gave us the nod to take our places at the table for dinner. The delicious food that was placed in front of us kept my mind at ease for the moment.

Mainly during the whole time of dinner I did not speak to anyone nor did I listen to any conversations that they were saying until someone spoke.

" Daisy" hearing my mother speak to me

Hearing that my mother called my name, I turned my attention to her.

" You will be going with Lazarus tonight" my mother said

I cannot help but furrow my eyebrows towards her words. Why was I going to go with him? I thought to myself. There was a silence between everyone at the table but I could feel that someone was about to snap. Before I could say anything my father beat me to it.
