Apparently from Anton's words Valentina is causing some trouble with people. And that she might come to the gala. Other than that she can not accept the fact that I am married. So there is something to look forward to.

Nikolai -

Waking up first I see that it is 5:45 am. Looking over to see the little dove sleeping beautifully. I kiss her lightly on her lips before going to the bathroom.

Leaving the room to see how things are going. By the looks of things everything is going smoothly. Having all of my men here for the gala I head to my office to see Charlotte's dress I got for her, I know she will look stunning in it. I got her a deep red dress with a slit in it with a little dip in the front. And I have a full black suit but a red handkerchief to match her dress.

Now it is time for the gala.

Charlotte -

I was in our room applying my make-up, deep down I don't really like make-up. I am just doing it light so it can be easy to wash off.

After I finished I walked into the bathroom to see the dress Nikolai got me. Seeing it was deep red, with a slit, not just a slit but a high slit. I am going to kill Nikolai, I should have known he would get a dress like this.

I regrettably put on the dress, and my shoes which are black 4 inch high heels. Walking down the stairs I see Nikolai with his men, I look down the stairs so I don't fall.

At times I get nervous around his men. I saw his eyes look at me in the dress. I am going to kill him later.

He has a huge smile on his face, he comes over to kiss me, his arms wrapping around my waist all in front of his men. Really embarrassing.

The place is full of people who have no clue about it. People have come up to me to congratulate me on my marriage and well that is basically it. Not much of a talker.

I walked over to the bar to get another drink, Nikolai made a rule that I have only one "adult drink" and I finished it so I was hoping for a soda. The bartender made me my drink. I took a seat while a woman in a silver dress came up to me. She looked beautiful, but she liked it like she wanted to get something off her chest.

So I made the first move.

" Hi. My name is-"

" Oh I know who you are".

Okay rude.

" Is there anything I can help you with? It looks like you came over here for a reason."

" okay. Listen here you little bitch-"

" that is enough Nikolai said in an angry tone while he wrapped his arm around Charlotte's waist. Walk away now before I have thrown out".

The woman walked away angrily. Nikolai looked down at Charlotte to see if she was okay.

" Are you okay?".

" Yes, who was she?"

" Charlotte. Don't worry about it".

" please tell me".

Nikolai sighs. " Her name is Anya I had sex with her".

" oh. Is there anyone else here that you spelt with?"

" Just one, her name is valentina. And I believe she is here."

" Thank you for telling me. And I understand, I think."

" You are so pure, and for your age you are mature. I love you."

" I love you too."

Nikolai leans in and kisses his wife. And they start to make out at the bar. Nikolai pulled away and took Charlotte's hand and walked to the stage for the main reason for the gala.

Nikolai waits to be called up on stage.

" Welcome all. We are here for a special event for the children's hospital. And we have reached 5.2 million dollars for the children's hospital."

Everyone clapped from the news. Nikolai was called onto the stage to say a few words.

" Thank you. Thank you all for the donations. The money will change many lives for the children. ( Nikolai looks at his wife) And my sister would have been grateful over this all, I know she can see the work we do to help the lives of others, especially children".

Nikolai exits the stage and he shakes hands with people. Charlotte watches Nikolai, but then Charlotte feels someone behind her. So she turns around and sees a woman in a red dress, and the fact is that the dress is barely a dress. Not much holding together on the woman. She has thick blonde hair and way too much make-up on.

" So You have to be Charlotte. Let me tell you something little girl, you can not handle a man like Nikolai, only I can. Only me. I mean what does he see in you anyway. You're not much to look at, You will not last. He will tire of you and he will crawl back to me like you were nothing".

Valentina left Charlotte there, soon enough the others heard what she said about Charlotte.

Charlotte heard, " Valentina is right, look at her, she is so plain".

" Valentina is more of a woman than her, she is a child".

" so pathetic"

" Weak"

Charlotte was feeling overwhelmed by everyone's words. Charlotte calmly walked away from the party, she didn't want them to see her cry.

Anton went to tell Nikolai what happened and what was happening by whispering in his ear.

Nikolai went to go find his little dove.

It saved Nikolai time by one of his men, Vladimir. Vladimir was guarding one of the rooms, he saw his mistress, wife of the boss in tears. She asked him to find a place where no one would come looking. He helped her with that, and he stayed put until the boss arrived.

Charlotte was in a closet in a part of the house, far away from the party.

Nikolai came in and he saw his little dove sitting on the floor. His heart broke seeing her like that.

" I will be out in a minute, Vladimir. I just got myself together. My pathetic self together".

" You are not a pathetic little dove".

Charlotte turned around to see her husband there, worried on his face. She tried to wipe her face, " I am being stupid".

" No, you are not. I know what happened with you and Valentina and the other guests. What Valentina said is not true-".

" but it is. I am 18, a girl and you are a man that needs a strong woman something I can't-"

Charlotte stopped talking because Nikolai kissed her deeply and a full minute.
