Chapter 62

Ezmeralda POV:

I watched as Sally took it all in, and not long after I looked around I noticed Dahlia walking up to me with the human family she found.

“Ezmeralda, I’d like for you to meet, Todd, Elizabeth and Gracie. Them and Sally are the only humans we have.” Dahlia smiled.

“It is so nice to meet you all. You are safe here I promise.” I said looking at them.

“Are you sure?” Gracie asked.

“Absolutely positive. This might come to a shock to you all but no one here will hurt any of you. You’ll see a lot of new people. Wolves, my dark witches,  Natalies white witches and Adiras vampires.” I replied.

I could tell they were all still nervous and I wished I could do something for them. I could not imagine being in my own home and having it invaded and no longer feeling safe. Not to mention the amount of supernaturals they are about to come across.

“Where will we stay?” Todd asked.

“I have a guest house just around the corner. It has been fully stocked with everything you’ll need and food of course. You are also welcomed to join us at dinner if you would like.” Ash replied.

“You’re big!” Gracie squeaked. I couldn’t help but laugh.

“You should see his wolf, Caspian is even bigger.” I winked.

“Can I stay with you?” Sally asked. I turned to see she was standing very close and I felt something in me screaming to keep her close. It was gnawing at me.

“You absolutely can. Let’s get you all something to eat.” I smiled grabbing Sally by the hand. In a way she reminded me of me when I was younger. I looked at Mariah and saw that she was smiling at the both of us. She was seeing something she couldn’t tell me.

“Have Sally drink this before she goes to bed. It’ll keep the nightmares away until we get her the help that she needs.” My mother said, she handed me a jar of herbs.

“Thanks mom, how did you get this so fast?” I asked.

“I can move really fast now.” She laughed. As we walked inside I made sure to hold on tightly to Sally. I could feel her shaking and I wanted to know everything she is  but i was not going to push her to talk anytime soon.

“That didn’t take long.” Adira smirked. I looked to see Bobbie and Blake grinning from ear to ear. She was already wearing his mark.

“I move fast, what can I say.” Bobbie shrugged.

“How have things been here?” I asked.

“Very good actually. Jordan is playing with some of the other children in the play room, guards are at every angle and no one but family can get in there.” Bobbie replied.

“Who are these people?” Bobbie asked.

“Dahlias coven and these are the humans she rescued and have been keeping safe.” I replied. Bobbies eyes landed on Sally and she tilted her head.

“I’ll fill you in. I want to check on things. We will catch up with you guys later.” Adira said.

“I’m coming with, I want to check on Jordan.” Natalie called out as she ran after them.

“So has Natalie figured anything new out? I know the mass calling of the white witches. I feel like I am missing some stuff.” Dahlia whispered. When they sat down the waitresses rushed over with way too much food but I don’t think that they will complain any.

“You know who was trying to find all of them by using Natalie.” I replied.

“Why? They won’t help him.” Dahlia deadpanned.

“The good ones won’t. He had some spies but I am guessing even they didn’t know where everyone was. They are in the cells.” I replied. Dahlia stopped mid bite to look at me.

“But how are they here?” Dahlia asked.

“They still have their souls and everything. We need to figure out a way to change the protection. Modify it in a way so that anyone with bad intentions can’t get close.” I replied.

“I agree. I’ll start on something in the morning. What else have I missed?” Dahlia asked.

“Delilah can turn into a giant wolf, other than that not really. Mariah, Bobbie and Adira have their mates now. I’m curious to see what was exchanged.” I shrugged.

“I could tell that much but about Delilah. I would love to see that.” Dahlia smirked.

“We will get into all of that tomorrow. Right now we need to get everyone situated and we have to plan for the ceremony.” I stated.

“What ceremony?” Todd asked.

“It’s when the moon goddess is going to come visit us.  Now that we have our mates, I will be crowned queen of the wolves and my mate will be king of the dark witches. The same for Adiras vampires.  It’s kind of like a wedding for humans I suppose.” I replied.

“That is kind of cool. So she is your god?” Todd asked.

“To compare us to you, yes she is. She is wonderful, you’ll see. Her name is Sienna.” I replied.

“I’m going to take them to the guest house to relax a little. I’ll come find you afterwards.” Dahlia said as she stood to her feet.

“Are you ready to see your room for the night Sally?” I asked.

“Yes please, I would really like a shower.” She smiled. I held my hand out to her and she followed me up to her room. Ash thought it would be best to put her in the room next to us for tonight so that we could watch over her. She was still hanging on to her toothbrush like it was her life line.
