Chapter 64 - Cheating doesn't fit my profile
Joana
The duke looked at me with those expressive, frightened eyes, stirring my heart to create even more theories in my mind, I'm sure you thought the same as me. And so he stood in front of me for a few seconds, just savoring what my reaction would be. What was that man thinking as he wandered around waiting for my comment? I know he was expecting a more dramatic response, but he didn't say anything other than an inaudible whisper.
"I didn't understand you, miss." He said so as soon as he heard my whisper.
"I didn't say anything, my duke, I was just thinking out loud," I retorted, stopping him from bringing up the subject again.
"So, what do you have to say to me? Staring at you and hearing nothing is exhausting me."
"Unfortunately, you can't have legitimate heirs, but if having a child is so important to you, we can adopt a boy or a girl. That's all I can tell you at the moment, Fernando."
"I know that, Isabela, forget the idea of looking for a second option, I'm talking about a child of my own blood. Now answer me, but even if I'm not a complete man, does that have any impact on our relationship?"
I smiled slightly at Fernando's childish question. After all, I'm not with him just to get pregnant and fill the castle with children.
"Why would that affect anything?" I arched an eyebrow.
"I don't want to lose you, I'm sorry I can't give you a woman's greatest love, which is the gift of being a mother." His sad eyes expressed his inner self, he wanted not to expose himself, but the duke was failing miserably.
"You won't lose me for that reason, which is quite common, even in my land, couples resort to other methods when one of them is infertile."
"I'm glad you understand, it's not easy living with the possibility of being the last Casanova." He took my hands in his. "I thought I was going to lose you."
"Stop thinking you're going to lose me for any reason, I'm not going to give up on our destiny, not after everything I've discovered about the two of us." I breathed a sigh of relief and faced him. "We'll sort out your lineage, don't worry about that now. All I ask is that you never betray me, do it with me, and I won't give you a second to justify yourself."
"Don't worry, it's not in my profile to cheat on a lady. Why would a man with a woman like you at home look for love elsewhere?"
"So, if it's a woman who isn't like me, the betrayal is justifiable?"
"Not at all, I just emphasized her beauty."
A comforting warmth ran through my body at the sight of Fernando Casanova's radiant smile, revealing his perfectly aligned white teeth. Unlike the others, I knew he would never betray me, which filled me with immense joy at having met him that night. Perhaps it was fate that arranged our meeting in the garden of the mansion, when he rescued me from the clutches of Marquis Jaime.
"I feel more and more in love with you every day, Fernando. How can there be anyone like you? Your Grace is perfect."
"There is no one perfect, I was once a man sinful enough to have a place in hell."
"For God's sake, man! Don't say that, we're not talking about sin."
"You're right, miss." He said and started to undress. "Me and my friend down here were hatching a plan to make you moan for most of the night, but my body's all bruised up, and both it and I aren't in the mood at all."
"Are you saying that looking at my naked body isn't enough to make you horny for good?"
"My eyes aren't arousing anything at the moment, lucky you."
"I realized that when you yawned." I said calmly and took my place on the bed. "What will our daily routine be like tomorrow?"
As he yawned again, turned around, and took his place on the bed, I sighed with relief that our evening, which had started so energetically, had ended on a positive note. It was as if I had taken a thousand pounds off my shoulders by telling him who I really am, I just need to get used to the idea of hearing him call me Isabela.
Fernando, the master of sentimental disguises, also decided to reveal his rotten secrets. Amid mischievous but regretful looks, he confessed his tricks for seducing and deceiving poor girls, only to plunder their precious jewels.
I was perplexed to witness the mediocrity of this individual, capable of despising women so much that I don't even want to mention his name. What kind of fool has he ever been? A despicable being who deserves to live in the deepest solitude. Fortunately, he abandoned his aimless life in time, because I would never allow a libertine and scoundrel like him to be shared with other women.
"First thing in the morning, Raul and I are going to investigate the old library, so be discreet if Filipe suddenly appears." He pulled back the soft wool blanket and covered himself halfway across his bare chest. "In the afternoon, we'll have a banquet, when we'll say goodbye to my relatives."
"Is Ana still with her uncle? That female dog!" I said jokingly.
"It was kind of you to mention her name, Ana de Hanover disappeared from my castle during her kidnapping, didn't you see her in that hut?"
"She wasn't there." I settled down on the mattress and turned my body towards him. "That woman is unbearable, but she had nothing to do with the kidnapping," I muttered, watching Fernando close his eyes.
"All right, but I intend to investigate her too, I have little time to devote to you tomorrow, Maria and Raul will be your company."
"But Raul will be with you, how will he be with me?"
"In the morning, Miss Maria de la Cruz will be available exclusively for you, Isabela. In the afternoon, it will be Raul's turn, so make the most of your day tomorrow."
"I understand, my duke. And after such a hectic day, how do you plan to end the evening?" I gave him a suggestive smile.
"At night, I'm going to suck your pussy." His decisive voice shook me, it had been a long time since I'd heard that voice give me shivers of pleasure.
With that perverted thought in mind, I closed my eyes, looking forward to our next night.
