Chapter 29: Revelation

Silver POV

“What do you mean mom? Real parents? What do you mean? I don’t understand.” Nagtataka kong tanong kay mama. Don’t tell me na hindi siya ang totoo kong ina? Sumasakit ang ulo ko nito.

“I think you should eat first. You’re asleep for a month. I’ll tell once you’re done eating. Let’s go.” sabi ni mama tsaka unang naglakad. Kaya tumayo na din ako para sundan siya pero napaupo ako ulit. Nahihilo padin ako, kaya pumikit nalang muna ako.

Tsaka tulog daw ako for a month? What the heck, eh parang minutes lang yun doon sa lugar kung saan kausap ko si curse ah.

“Okay ka lang ba, Silver?” nag-alalang tanong ni mama na ngayon ay nasa harapan ko na.

“Oo ma, nahihilo lang ako.” sagot ko naman sa kanya.

She signed, “Dito ka nalang kumain, kukuha lang ako ng pagkain mo Silver.” sabi nito tsaka tumalikod at lumabas na.

Ano nga uling nangyari bago ko nakausap ang cursed ko? It’s still blurry in my memory for some unknown reason.

Kumusta na kaya ang mga kaibigan ko, tsaka si Dawn, kumusta na kaya siya? Alam kaya niyang nandito ako? O baka hindi, at nag-aalala na yun sa akin?

The thought of her makes me want to see her, I can’t wait to see her.

Nakakainis bakit ang sakit padin ng ulo ko. Nakahawak ako sa ulo ko ng maramdaman kong bumukas ang pinto.

“Here, gusto mo bang subuan nalang kita?” tanong ni mama. Umiling naman agad ako.

“No mom, kaya ko naman po.” Kinuha ko na ang pagkain sa kanya at nagsimulang kumain. Kahit masakit pa ang ulo ko ay pinipilit ko pading kumain. Pagkatapos nito, makipag-usap pa ako kay mama regarding sa real parents ko daw. Tsaka I need energy, isang bulan na akong tubig at walang kain-kain.

Si mama ay nasa tabi ko lang at hindi nagsasalita. Sa tingin ko, nag-aantay lang siyang matapos akong kumain bago niya ako disturbuhin.

Pagkatapos kung kumain at uminom ng tubig ay agad akong nagsalita.

“Ma, saan pala ang lugar nato?”

“Sa bahay natin dito sa Eastville, Silver. Nasa underground tayo. No one knows this place, and hindi din matitrace ng iba since nilagyan ko toh ng barrier at hindi manotice ang aura na nandito sa loob.” I see, no wonder why I didn’t see any windows around dahil nasa underground pala.

“Uhm, ma, about doon sa sinabi mong real parents ko. Ano pong ibig mong sabihin?” nagtataka kong tanong sa kanya.

Hindi muna siya nagsalita, nakita kong pumikit muna siya at bumuntong hininga bago siya nagsalita.

“You look a lot like your mom, but you’ve got your fathers eyes.” Hindi ako nakapagsalita sa pagkabigla ko.

“Your mother is an angel, a former holder of covenant of love.” ngumiti muna siya habang nakatingin sa malayo bago ito nagpatuloy sa pagsalita. “While your father on the other hand, is a half mortifer. Mortifers are ancient dark creatures also known as the destroyers who brings chaos and destructions, they have no emotions and treat everyone they see as preys, including their own kind. In conclusion, you can call those creatures as the worst.”

Afterall this time, may dugo pala talaga akong Mortifer. Now, I really can’t blame Hereum if she hates me. The creature who killed her family, and the creature who killed countless of other creatures.

Mama then told me about herself at ang tungkol sa kung paano niya nakilala ang parents ko. Sabi niya na hindi daw talaga siya taga Arklaria, kundi taga Fairia. Yes, she’s a fairy, and the reason kung bakit niya nakilala ang parents ko ay dahil ito daw ang nagligtas sa kanya nung naganap ang digmaan ng demons at fairies.

Nakita ko sa mata niya na may dumaang galit na emosyon upon mentioning demons, pero bigla itong naging soft pag nagsasalita na siya tungkol sa parents ko.

She then told me how she offered herself as katulong daw in return sa pagligtas sa kanya, pero ayaw daw ng mga magulang ko, but she insisted since magpapaturo din siya sa kanila kung paano makipaglaban. Because of her persistence, pumayag ang mga magulang ko na gawin siyang katulong, pero hindi daw ganun ang treatment sa kanya ng mga ito, kundi bilang kaibigan nila at kapamilya.

At first, her goal was revenge, gusto niyang patayin ang mga demons, but her perspective change because of my parents. Their kindness makes her heart wants to move on and focus on her current life, but some part of her wants to get revenge, pero nalaman niyang namatay na ang demon king na siyang pumatay sa ama niya, pinatay daw ito sa isang holder ng covenant, pero hindi niya alam kung alin sa mga covenant. So she decided nalang na magfocus sa pagprotekta sa pamilya ko.

Tapos sinabi niya sa akin na sinabihan siya ng magulang ko tungkol sa propesiya at ang mga bagay na kailangan niyang malaman para protekhanan ako, dahil ihinahabilin ako sa kanya.

Buntis pa ang ina ko nung ihinabilin ako nito sa kanya, at kung paano daw ito kagandang ngumiti habang nagsasalita tungkol sa akin, kung paano nito iningatan ang sarili para sa akin at kung paano ako kamahal nito. Si ama naman daw ay napakabait, hindi mo talaga akalain na may dugong Mortifer dahil mabait daw ito masyado. Nag-iiba lang daw ang aura nito pagdating na sa pagprotekta ng pamilya ko. Mahal na mahal daw ng mga magulang ko ang isa’t-isa, at nakikita niya sa mga mata nila kung gaano ito kasaya at gaano ako nito kamahal.

Yung ama mo naman ay itim yung kulay ng buhok at mata, at moreno siya.” sabi niya habang nakangiti. Sinabi din ni Mama na naalala niya sila sa akin. Bukod kasi sa mukha ko na makapagpaalala kay ina, ang personality ko naman daw ay kagaya sa personality ni ama except lang daw pagnagalit, dahil hindi naman daw niya ako nakitang magalit.

Tapos sinimulan na niyang sabihin sa akin ang mga sinabi ng magulang ko sa kanya tungkol sa katotohanan at propesiya.

“Your great great great grandfather, the first holder of covenant of love along with the other covenant holders fought their way to defeat the Mortifers. It is said that he tried to tame a Mortifer, since afterall his covenant was love that has the ability to tame monsters and other creatures except Mortifers, but he was able to tame one Mortifer. The thing is that he fell in love with that Mortifer, but rules are rules, and all Mortifers need to be eliminated, but your great great grandfather did not allow that to happen. In short, betrayal happened.” hindi ko maiwasang mapatulala sa narinig ko.

My mom indeed died, and my father stayed behind, and there’s a big possibility that he also died back then. And all this because of the cursed and prophecy? I really hate this idea. But something is bugging me, I am the offspring, but why did I not feel that deep sadness or suffering?

“When the gender of the offspring is revealed, the covenant of love chooses a holder that is in the opposite sex, to continue the cycle. But this time, the covenant of love chooses someone in the same sex, then this concludes that the prophecy ends here, as well as your cursed.”

Naalala ko ang sinabi ng cursed ko na this will be the last time she exist. So, she’s aware that I’m the last in line.

“Why does it has to end here ma? I mean they could have done this long time ago, so why now? What’s the goal?”

On the other hand, covenant of love will always be love, that covenant intends to save the offspring to change them for the good. The covenant of love chooses a holder which blood is cleanse from evil deeds, that way the offspring of Mortifers bloodline and the holder will be balance, although mas strong ang blood ng mga Mortifers, but through the years, it becomes better and better. That’s why whatever the curse of your bloodline will throw or play, the covenant of love will go with the flow and counter it.”

“Why would the covenant of love gives that cursed at the beginning if it’s that dangerous? Why would the covenants allow the offspring to live if they know how dangerous it could get?” tanong ko pa sa kanya.

“The curse was the consequences of the betrayal Silver. Your mother told me that the cursed supposedly make the mother died giving birth, the father will also die in great sadness, and the offspring will shoulder the burden of betrayal and suffering, but it seems like it awakens something in Mortifers blood, turns out it creates a curse that will end the world when the time comes. It was unexpected, the covenants did not expect it to happen.” sabi niya habang inaalala ang mga sinabi sa kanya ng magulang ko.

When that time comes, naniningil ang curse na yon, and the only one who can stop her is the covenant of love, since the original cursed was belong to Love. And that was also written in the prophecy that the cursed can only be killed by the one who started it.” patuloy pa niya.

“Also, Love cannot do anything about the prophecy made by the awaken cursed, since irreversible ang curse na ginawa niya, that also means na irreversible din ang prophecy na gawa ng cursed. Bukod doon ang original curse ay nangyayari pa din along with the awaken cursed.”

“Ang dahilan kung bakit hindi mapatay-patay ng covenants ang bloodlines ng Mortifers at love ay dahil hindi pumapayag ang awaken cursed na mapapatay ang kanyang vessel. Bukod doon, nakatala yun sa propesiya na hindi ito mamamatay hanggang sa dumating ang araw na magtutuos sila ni Love. Ibig sabihin nito ay untouchable ang vessel niya, at ang sumubok na patayin ito ay siya lang din ang mamamatay. That also happened before sa mga covenant bearers na sinubukan itong patayin.”

“Since the cycle ay parte din ng propesiya, walang magagawa ang love kundi tanggapin ang mga pangyayari. The cursed vessel and covenant love bearer were tied by the prophecy, the longer the cycle ends, the stronger the awaken cursed become, and aware ang covenant love nun, so love did it’s best sa pagpili ng tamang tao na maging holder niya, since yun ang taong nakatadhanang bubuo ng offspring sa current vessel ng awaken cursed. Mortifers blood ay masama talaga in nature, kaya opposite nito ang pinipili ni Love para maging balance ang nature ng offspring.”

“Teka ma, may itatanong lang ako. Hindi ba nagawang subukan ni Love na patayin ang vessel ng cursed?” tanong ko kay mama.

“No Silver, hindi niya magagawa yun, dahil bihag na siya ng propesiya, at isa pa may emotional attachment ang Love sa vessel/offspring since anak ito ng former holder niya. Ang tanging magagawa niya lang talaga ay ang pagcounter sa pinagagawa or pinaplano ng awaken cursed.”

“The right time will come kung saan magtutuos ang dalawa. Sa panahong yun, doon na mag-activate ang full power ng awaken cursed. On the other hand, Love is the strongest covenant, so I don’t know who will win.”

.”If you’re confused Silver, I’m just going to say this, the curse that lies to the half Mortifer parent will be pass down to their offspring, making him/her vulnerable to death afterwards. When the offspring is born, the covenant of love immediately leaves the body of the parent and look for another holder to fulfill its purpose.”

“So, Silver, Dawn is the current holder of the covenant of Love, and I know that you’re aware of that... but you know that the curse I’m talking about lies within you. Whether, you like it or not, you’re the last in the bloodline, and this is also time where the prophecy ends. You and Dawn cannot run and hide from the prophecy. On your 18th birthday, that’s where the power of your cursed will fully activate, and that’s also the time that you’ll face Dawn, not as your girlfriend but as your enemy.”

Hindi ko maiwasang mapaluha sa narinig ko. Enemy... I will be facing my girlfriend as an enemy...

Hindi ko maiwasang mapakuyom ng kamay habang tumutulo ang aking mga luha. It hurts a lot, so damn hurts a lot. Now, I’m wondering what I’ve done wrong all my life, or if past life is real, then what could I’ve done for life to asked me this much.
