Chapter 298: Giving A Reward
Pierre Bronsnic's POV:
I felt it was right to give her a reward. This is one of those that I determined on a case-by-case basis, sort of a reward. It could be deemed necessary to do whatever I saw fit. This was her first time here after all. It is a grand sight to behold. I would be ashamed if she didn't get to see it whenever we first arrived.
However, whenever we first pulled up, she was looking down. Or her lap. Either way, but did not allow her to look up. So I wanted to be able to give her her first reward, but I needed her to know that this was what it was: a Reward!
This was a reward for doing exactly as she was told. Another reward... a more proper reward will come later, after she has been able to relax a little bit to get more comfortable on her side.
"Yes, you told me you were awake," I said in that moment. "You told me with your eyes, and with your words."
Even though she sat in front of me with her legs now hanging over the side edge of the seat as they hung out the door, her eyes still remained closed. As I looked up at her, I could see her swallow. I was pleased that it didn't catch this time as it had previously when she was sitting on the edge of the table before we left the place where I had last seen Mr. Trent.
"Now, I will carry you," I said as I placed my hand on the underside of her knees and pulled her closer to me.
I knew in the back of my mind that she thought she was going to fall off the edge of the seat. That's when I swiftly, yet gently, wrapped my other arm around the lower portion of her back and picked her up off the seat right at the moment she thought she would've fallen.
Her arms instinctively wrapped around my neck once more as I heard her gasp, then, although I don't think it was intentional, she let out a little moan of pleasure. I knew she knew that I had her. I knew that she knew that I was not going to drop her. I would do anything but that.
The cover in which she was wearing was lightly blown by the gentle breeze of the wind. I could tell she was nervous, but her back was now facing Michel, who was standing there, still waiting at the quarter panel of the vehicle by the taillight.
I turned to the side to see exactly which direction Michel was facing, and he was indeed facing the opposite direction, away from me. My men knew how to respect a woman. I took pride in knowing this that they cared enough to turn away.
"Ma Lociole," I spoke, my tone rather deep as I was filled with pride whenever I turned back to look at her lying there in my arms.
When I called her name, saying that one phrase that seemed to drive her insane, I felt her grip tighten around my neck.
"I want you to open your eyes," I told her that moment. "I want you to open your eyes and take in the sight for the very first time. I want you to see the place that you will forever call home."
"Forever?" She asked in that moment, and I know she asked it for good reason.
"Yes," I told her as I took several steps away from the vehicle and up onto the sidewalk there by the circular drive. "Forever, as long as you choose it. I want you to know that, despite the fact that you have signed the contract, you have the option to decline it. That has always been there the whole time. All you have to do is let me know, and I will draw up a contract to release you from your role as my submissive."
"But what if I don't want that?" She asked, her eyes still closed. She turned to look at me. "But what if I don't want to leave? ...Would you still have me?"
"I will have you for as long as you choose," I told her as I stopped walking in front of the main set of stairs. "Now, do as you are told. Open your eyes and turn your gaze upon the sights before you."
She took in several deep breaths before she did as I commanded. I knew it was a sight to see for anyone. I have seen the place that her father calls home. This is nothing like.
I watched her reaction relax as she opened her eyes for the very first time. Her gaze was only set on me. I appreciated that, but that is not exactly what I wanted her to see.
I would always be here. I wanted her to turn around. I wanted her to look at the massive marble-and-stone-carved pillars that held up the archway in front of the rounded double doors leading to my home.
"Go ahead," I told her as I could tell that she was definitely nervous. "I want to know what you think."
"All right, I will do my best to give you an honest opinion then," she said, her tone set soft.
Everything played out in slow motion at this moment. I watched as her eyes slowly broke free of mine as she looked over my shoulder and saw the garden that lay right behind me. There was a live wall around the entire garden. It was made of a solid bush, which only parted at the places where you are allowed to walk through. Other than that, it continued all the way around.
Her eyes went wide as she saw the fountain in the center. From where we were standing, you could most definitely hear the water flowing freely. There were five fish that were each spouting water in the center of the fountain. I do have to say I enjoy the expression on her face. I could tell she was admiring the water fountain's features.
That's when her eyes changed in a different direction yet again as she slowly started to turn her head even more. She continued to do so, stopping randomly to admire various things. Although I do think she was taking her serious time as she looked around. The best sight she had yet to behold.
"Are you finished admiring everything else?" I asked when she turned back to look at me, her jaw dropped open wide.
"Everything is remarkable," she said, looking over her opposite shoulder in the direction of the circular drive. "I have never seen anything like this."
"That's not even the best part," I said as my patience was wearing thin. "I want you to look at this."
When I said that, in the direction that she was looking, I turned around to where her eyes would be able to take in the sight of the marble and stone pillars. Her jaw dropped even more.
"I..." She started to say. "I have no words."
