Chapter 62 A Vixen
Chapter 62 A Vixen
Emma Johnson's POV
Tears glistened in my eyes as my lips traced circles around his earlobe.
"Don't you really like me anymore? Because I like you. I like you so, so much."
I'd never been one for sweet talk before—especially not with Louis.
But now, whenever I saw him, all I wanted was to whisper every tender word I could think of, to coax him into smiling.
I knew exactly what worked on him.
In that instant, the man before me suddenly gripped my throat, swiftly reversing our positions and kissing me deeply.
"Mmph..." Every moan caught in my throat.
Louis's lips were scorching and demanding. My entire tongue felt like it was being drawn into him, melting under the pressure.
My feeble attempts at resistance were nothing more than tickles to him.
Even when I couldn't breathe, he refused to let me go.
Finally, when I managed a gasp of air, Louis wrapped his arm around my waist and crushed me against him with absolute force, pulling me deeper into his embrace.
The sensation was extraordinary.
At first, soft and slippery—but after the sucking and pulling, sweet and intoxicating.
It was just lips touching, yet it felt addictive, impossible to quit once you'd had a taste.
Louis's eyes were bloodshot, his nose pressed against mine as he intensified the kiss.
Then he lifted me straight into his arms and carried me upstairs.
The moment we entered the room, the door slammed shut with a bang.
I was tossed onto the bed, my collar gaping open to reveal the black lace lingerie beneath. My body and hair spread across the sheets in waves.
Before I could even make out his expression, Louis was already pressing down on me.
His scorching, heavy body molded perfectly against mine. I gasped—and felt myself growing inexplicably wet below.
I reached up to loop my arms around his neck.
But just then, a familiar voice rang out from downstairs.
"Louis! Louis!"
Mary rushed to intercept. "Miss Sarah, Mr. Campbell and his wife are resting upstairs. You can't go up there."
My body went rigid. I looked up at Louis and immediately pushed against him.
"Stop—someone's here."
I bit down hard, trying to shove him off.
But Louis didn't budge. Instead, he kept kissing me frantically.
"Stop, stop, stop—Sarah's here."
My garbled protest was nearly drowned out, so I bit down hard on his lip.
Louis winced and pulled back to look at me, his eyes filled with unsatisfied frustration.
"Someone's here," I repeated.
Seeing the redness in his eyes, I sat up, my hair tumbling messily over my shoulders.
"Ignore them," Louis said.
He was unusually stubborn, already moving to continue.
I stopped him. "No. I'm not comfortable with people around."
My face burned scarlet. "Go out there and get rid of her."
Annoyance flickered across Louis's features, clearly irritated by the interruption.
"Fine."
He pulled on his clothes and strode out the door.
Through the crack, I saw Sarah about to climb the stairs. Quietly, I rose and moved toward the doorway.
"What are you doing here?" Louis loosened his tie in frustration, blocking her path. "You could've at least called ahead."
Sarah stared at his face, grinning mischievously.
"Louis, what were you two just doing?"
Louis's expression didn't change. He quickly looked away. "Spending quality time with your sister-in-law. Which you interrupted."
Sarah froze, then her eyes went wide. "You two were—"
Louis's tone turned impatient, his gaze dismissive.
"What do you want? If you've got something to say, say it."
Sarah pouted. "Grandma wants you to come home for dinner tonight."
Louis refused without hesitation. "I'm busy."
"Grandma said you have to come. She said someone wants to see you."
Sarah looked anxious, her eyes darting toward the upstairs room—and locking directly with mine as I stood behind the door.
"Oh, I get it. It's Emma stopping you from going, isn't it? Louis, even though you two are together now, Grandma asking you home for dinner is something you've never refused before."
"In that case, I'll just have to report back honestly. But what they'll think of it... well, I can't say."
Louis's face darkened. He shot her a cold look. "Have you been bored lately?"
"I'm just delivering Grandma's message." Sarah lowered her head guiltily, clearly intimidated.
Just then, the door swung open, and I appeared in my bathrobe.
"Honey, who is it?"
I sauntered out lazily like a cat, my hair loose over my shoulders, and leaned against Louis's side, smiling at Sarah across from us.
"Oh, well look who it is. Long time no see."
Sarah's eyes went round as saucers. "You—why did you come out dressed like that?"
"It's my own house. What's wrong with how I'm dressed?" I replied with innocent sincerity, completely ignoring her hostility. "Besides, we were just in the middle of something."
"Hmph. You're nothing but a vixen," Sarah hissed through clenched teeth. Though she spoke quietly, we both heard her clearly.
"Sarah, is that how you speak to your sister-in-law?" Louis frowned in disapproval. "You've really gotten out of hand lately."
Sarah looked on the verge of tears. I immediately looped my arm through Louis's, my voice turning soft and sweet.
"Honey, I heard everything just now. Didn't Grandma invite us back for dinner? Mary hasn't cooked yet anyway, so why don't we just go together?"
"But you were treated so badly last time. I don't want you to go through that awful experience again." Louis looked at me with concern.
"It's fine. I'd like to see Grandma anyway. Besides, Sarah came all this way—we shouldn't disappoint the old lady." I smiled reassuringly.
"Hmph. At least you know your place," Sarah said, crossing her arms as she looked us over. Suddenly, her eyes widened as if she'd discovered something scandalous. "What's that on your neck?"
I followed her gaze downward. Sure enough, there were vivid kiss marks on my throat.
Clearly left during our earlier frenzy.
"How shameless. Make sure you cover that up before we go!" Sarah snapped, then turned and stormed off.
Louis looked at me, still hesitant. "You really don't have to go if you don't want to."
I smiled. "Why wouldn't I go? I can make good money off this."
Louis laughed helplessly. "You're doing this for money?"
"Didn't Sarah just say someone wants to see you? I might as well tag along for a free meal."
Seeing the utterly sincere smile on my face, Louis shook his head. "All right, I give up. Go change into something proper."
I tugged on Louis's arm but didn't move.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Let's wear matching outfits today. I already bought them."
