Chapter 209
Sophia's heart raced as fear gripped her, her red lips trembling in the dimly lit room filled with a nauseating stench of blood. Desperate to escape, she made a move towards the door, only to have her wrist forcefully seized.
A cold smile crept onto William's face. "You see, this is my world. Dark and bloody, yet beautiful in its own way. I was content here until you dragged me into the light, and now you want to leave me."
William's laughter, tinged with sorrow, filled the room, sending shivers down Sophia's spine.
Her heart pounded in her chest as the laughter ceased, and William's menacing gaze locked onto her. His slender fingers grazed her cheek. "You're staying with me, forever. Got it?"
"No," Sophia shook her head frantically, "Forever's too long. People change in the blink of an eye. Can't we just part ways peacefully?"
"No," William's voice grew louder as he pushed Sophia against the wall. "You're the reason I'm like this. You're not leaving. If you don't want to be in the light with me, then welcome to hell."
Confusion clouded Sophia's mind. She couldn't comprehend as William headed towards the door. "No."
Realizing his intentions, Sophia grabbed his hand, holding on tightly.
William turned back, his eyes softening as he looked down at her. "You pulled me into the light without asking. It's not so bad. You'll get used to it."
His gentle smile contradicted his chilling words.
Methodically, William broke Sophia's fingers one by one, then forcefully pushed her to the ground.
Struggling to rise, Sophia watched helplessly as the door callously shut, leaving her alone in the room.
The room descended into a bottomless darkness.
Sophia pounded on the door frantically. "Let me out, please!"
Her panicked voice reverberated through the empty space.
Just beyond the door.
William smiled, a tear tracing his cheek. "Welcome to my world."
His footsteps faded away.
Sophia's fists continued to hammer on the door, her body sliding to the floor. "No, no."
Fear of the darkness gripped her, the dimness even more unsettling.
A haunting silence enveloped the room.
Collapsing on the ground, Sophia shut her eyes, curling up as tears silently streamed down her face.
This version of Sophia, stripped of her usual composure and grace, resembled a wilting flower, slowly fading away.
William left her in the eerie stillness of the room.
The silence deepened.
Sophia kept her eyes shut tight. Suddenly, a sound pierced the quiet. She cautiously opened her eyes, squinting.
A pig's head lay at her feet, its bloodshot eyes wide open.
Her stomach churned, and Sophia collapsed, retching uncontrollably.
She couldn't stay here indefinitely.
With determination, Sophia fumbled in the darkness until her hand found the switch. With a soft click, the pitch-black room was flooded with dim light.
Though faint, the light revealed the room's features to Sophia.
Trembling, she began to search for a suitable weapon.
Tripping over an object, she heard a loud thud.
Bending down, Sophia picked up a dagger. "You leave me no choice."
Night descended.
Darkness enveloped them.
By the French windows, William snapped out of his daze.
His head throbbed as he observed the impenetrable darkness outside, his expression shifting.
The room was pitch black.
Sophia remained trapped inside.
He approached to unlock the door.
As the door creaked open, a figure sprang out.
William reacted swiftly, dodging effortlessly and seizing the wrist holding the dagger, exerting pressure.
A bone snapped.
The clatter of the dagger hitting the floor reverberated.
Tears streamed down Sophia's face, her expression twisted in pain. "Why? Why would you do this?"
Shaking with anger, she questioned him.
Observing Sophia's injured hand, William's gaze darkened. "Don't you appreciate my world?"
He nonchalantly kicked the fallen dagger. "You promised never to harm me, but your words were hollow."
"So what? Even if I lied, I never hurt you, never betrayed you."
William's lips curved into a cold smile. "Should I be grateful? Unfortunately, I prefer the darkness. From now on, you'll be with me, forever."
Seizing Sophia's hand, William dragged her back into the dark room.
He shut the door.
Darkness enveloped the world once more.
William held Sophia close, lying beside the pig's head. "I sleep best here. Sleep."
Sophia tensed, trembling beside him.
The pig's head loomed before her, and she dared not open her eyes, biting her lip. "What do you want?"
"Sleep."
William cradled Sophia, and soon, the room filled with the sound of their breathing.
A warm breath brushed against her.
A chill ran down Sophia's spine, causing her to shiver uncontrollably.
Their bodies pressed together, but Sophia felt no warmth, only cold shivers.
"You'll be with me forever."
William's chilling voice echoed in the room.
Sophia trembled, tears cascading down her cheeks.
Morning arrived.
Sophia awoke once more, finding herself next to the French windows.
The gentle sunlight poured in, enveloping them in its warmth.
William rested his chin on his hand, gazing at her ominously. "Isn't the sunlight lovely? Do you prefer it here or in my secret spot?"
"Let me go," Sophia's voice raspy, her eyes steady. "If we keep going like this, it'll only get worse."
“Why? Why do you have to leave?” William's voice turned icy suddenly. He smirked arrogantly, his fingers wickedly curling around Sophia's waist.
Their bodies pressed together.
Leaning in close to Sophia's ear, William whispered, "You want out, huh? I'll make sure you stay."
Before she could react, he pressed his thin lips against hers.
Their lips met, breaths mingling.
Sophia pushed against his chest, struggling, but her attempts were futile. William kissed her passionately.
"You're mine, only mine."
William's tone was possessive, threatening, and absolute.
Sophia felt like she was losing her sanity. The last shred of reason snapped, and she stared back at him with cold eyes. "I belong to myself alone."
"No, you're mine."
William's hand moved to Sophia's chest, ripping her clothes to shreds, and then began to explore her body.
A deluge of kisses descended.
William aimed to leave his mark on Sophia.
Pain shot through her.
William planted a trail of kisses on Sophia's body, leaving marks. Despite her struggles, she couldn't push him away. Eventually, she surrendered all resistance.
Lying in silence, Sophia gazed at the brilliant sunlight, no longer fighting, unresponsive, like a puppet, allowing William to conquer her completely.
