Chapter 208

What is he doing to me?

His lips smoothly gilded over mine in a demanding way. Every wet stroke of his rough lips was hungry and needy. His hand, which was massaging my left breast, started to play with my nipples, and then his wet, slimy tongue glided over my lower lip, urging me to open my mouth. My heart was thumping so loud. I can't even express the emotions that ran all over my body by the way he touched me. He sucked on my lower lip when I didn't open my mouth. He urged me more to open my mouth, and his thumb and finger pinched my hard nipple. The sensation he was making me feel started to become so overwhelming. It felt like a tsunami rushing all over my body. I just couldn't take it. My hands moved to his chest to make some distance, but he was not ready to let go of my lips. Something in me told me to stop it, and I decided to listen to that voice. This man is a stranger. I can't let him touch me when he pleads. I shouldn't even let him kiss me.

The sensible part, which had become numb, started to wake up. I should not let this man near me anymore. He was a danger. The danger I'm not aware of. I should stop him. If things go after, I think I will end up regretting it. My fingers curled in firm determination, and I moved my face away from him. He was busy sucking on my lower lip when I pulled away. A groan of frustration left his mouth when I did it. I completely pulled away from him. I pressed my body to the corner of the bed until it was touching the wall. There was not much distance between our bodies, but I managed to pull away from his possessive hold.

It made him move his hand away from me, but I could sense, I could feel he did not like the distance I had created between us. I swallowed hard feelings, his dark gaze lingering on me. The tension in the air became thicker with each passing second. My heart was drumming so fast and loudly. I bet he could hear it too. His deep yet rough, frustrated exhalation of breath made my body shiver. I could feel he wanted to hold me and kiss me senseless. He wanted to continue what we started. He wanted to touch me all over my body, but he didn't dare to cut the distance I had created. I bit on my swollen lower. His intense, heated gaze became unbearable even in the dark. I once again swallowed hard. My dry throat hurts when I do that. I exhaled deeply, mustering my courage to say the next thing.

“We shouldn't be doing this,” I said those words in almost regret, and the air around us became even thicker. I was surprised when I felt the temperature in the room dropping by a few degrees when I uttered those words. He exhaled sharply once again, and my body shivered.

“What should we be doing then?” he asked immediately in his heavy voice. I could sense the edge in his voice. It was tinged with frustration and longing mixed with vexation. I had no answer to that question. My mind went blank when he asked me that question. There were so many things to say, but everything was blank. This was his effect on me. My heart kept drumming loudly. I pushed the lump down my throat before opening my mouth once again.

“Y–you should leave,” I stuttered while saying it. I shouldn't, but my tongue withered, and I didn't like it. I should sound firm and straight, but here I was, stuttering like a stupid. His heated gaze turned dark when those words echoed in a silent room. He got out of bed and walked out of the room without uttering a word. I exhale deeply when I hear the thud of the door. I didn't even realise I was holding my breath. As soon as he walked out, even this small bed felt like it was so big. I didn't move to the side where he was lying a second ago. My back remained and pressed to the cold wall.

The tingles he left on my body were still there, making it difficult for me to forget the things we were doing before I pulled away. My hand unknowingly moved to my lips. They were swollen and still tingling. It felt like it was not the first time we did it. My body hand openly accepted his touch, but something inside me made me stop. Something that I couldn't decipher. I couldn't see his face in the dark when I asked him to walk away, but I felt the anger, the annoyance, and the frustration lingering in his gaze before he walked away. I could feel the suffering when he touched me. The suffering that I had increased when I pulled away from him. He was mad at me. That realisation grabbed my heart with newfound anxiety. I bit on my swollen lower lip hard, and unshed tears pooled in my eyes. I was the one who asked him to stop then. Why does it feel like it was unfair? Why was I feeling these mixed emotions? All of them together were confusing me. I turned around and faced the wall, wrapping my hands around myself. Suddenly my body started to shiver as if I were having a cold fever. My breaths became uneven, and tears slipped from the corners of my eyes when all this overwhelming emotion became hard to control. I shouldn't be feeling all these things for a stranger. A stranger who I have not even seen his face. Slowly, everything was getting shattered inside me, and I was feeling the pain that I had never felt before. The pain of breaking something in my heart.

“Aaa!” A yelp left my mouth when I suddenly felt a stinging pain in the crook of my neck and at the junction where my shoulder meets. My hand immediately moved up and covered it. I remembered I had a bite mark here when I had woken up in the hut.

Why was it stinging suddenly?

I pulled my legs up and pressed them to my chest. My body was still shivering. More tears started to fall from my eyes as I kept enduring the pain. I have no idea what is happening to me. What he has done to me. I just couldn't get it. My body slumped under the weight of exhaustion and this overwhelming emotion. It kept shivering even in my sleep. When I woke up the next day, the sun was high in the sky. My eyes widen. I was late. I got down from the bed and stood up immediately. Everything around me started spinning, and it made me sit back on the bed. I held my head with both my hands and closed my eyes. I should not have stood up so fast. I kept sitting while taking a deep breath. I darted out my lips and licked my cracked lips. Last night even started to flash in front of my closed eyes. I opened my eyes, not wanting to see them. I blinked my eyes as if they would go away, but it was embedded in my mind and not in front of my eyes. I took a deep breath, letting all these lingering last night's emotions go. I wanted to stare today first. My body felt weak, but I ignored it. I looked out of the window, and my brows furrowed. I remember closing them last night. The sun was blazing high in the sky. I think it's noon already.

Why didn't Hestia or Helio wake me up?

Did they leave the house without me?

I decided to walk out of the house when I felt a little better. I went down to find it empty. My dots were right. They have left me alone in this house. I slumped on the empty chair in front of the table. My throat was dry, and my lips were evident of a lack of liquid in my body. I grabbed the jar of water and filled the class for myself. I gulped in one go. I didn't again. Water made me feel better. I exhaled deeply and looked around the empty house. My brows furrowed, and I bit on my lower lip in distress. Why did they leave me alone in the house? Only they can answer my question. I should go out to find them. They have left breakfast for me in the kitchen. I took a bath and then ate breakfast before leaving the house. I wore my hoody to hide my face. Hector has asked us to stay discreet about our appearance in public places. He wants us to stay as low as possible. If someone notices us or recognises us, things will be difficult even before they start. I remained around the market, noticing all the demon's guards while being alert. I don't want a situation like last time to happen again. I had let my emotions intervene, and it would have been difficult if he had not appeared on that day. His golden orbs flashed in front of my eyes, making my breath hitch.

I bit on my lower lip. I shouldn't be thinking about him. I searched all over the market, but I was not able to find them. Maybe they are at the old goddess temple, which Helio mentioned yesterday. He told me Hestia, and he went there after they were done surveying the place, which could lead inside the palace. But I don't know where the temple is. Should I ask people? No, I can't. I immediately discarded that idea. The new king has stopped people from worshipping the old gods, and that was the reason why Preistres had to run out of this city with the idol of the goddess to protect it. It was the only reason why she abandoned her birth land. People would get suspicious if you asked them for the way to the old goddess. They know they can't go against the new kind, or else their life won't be spared. I saw a few demon guards looking at me, and it made me act as if I was buying something from the location Wender. I took a breath of relief when they walked away. I again started to find the way to the temple. It took me an hour to find it. The place was abandoned, and like Helio mentioned, there were lots of tamarind trees here. My mouth watered looking at them.

“No, Hera, don't lose focus. You need to find Helio and Hestia first.” I talked to myself before going to find them. The temple was huge, and it took me a good twenty minutes to search through to find them, but they were not there.

“Where are they?” I exhaled deeply with a small pout on my lips. My gaze fell once again on the tampered tress. I decided to get some before going home. The sun was about to set, and I had been searching for them the whole day. I picked a few stones and started to make that tamarind fall. I was successful in getting it. It was all because of the practice I had in the mortal realm. I gathered them all and decided to get a few more. I held all the tamarin in one hand, and with the other hand, I aimed at the tree. I threw the stone, and suddenly my leg slipped.

“Aaa” gaspe left my mouth. I closed my eyes and was ready to meet with hard ground. Before I could have two muscular arms wrapped around me. My hood slipped from my head, making my black raven air spill out of it. Those firm arms pulled me closer to a hard chest.

“Open your eyes," a rough voice commanded me. It sends chills down my spine, making my breath hitch. I think I have been caught by one of the demon guards. This place is of limit. I bit on my lower in distress.

“Open it before I let you go," he said, slightly losing his hold on me. My eyes shot open. My eyes clashed with a jade-green one immediately. My breath hitched looking at his handsome face. He doesn't look like a demon to me. His jade-green eyes moved all over my face. My heart started to beat fast in fear when he questioned.

“What are you doing here?”
