Chapter 229: Period Came

Mia, who was dry heaving, paused for a moment and glanced at Danny, then she laughed as she said, "How is that possible? You brat, how do you know so much at such a young age? Mommy isn't pregnant."

"Oh." Danny nodded and said, "But... my classmate's mommy, who has a little baby in her belly, wants to throw up when she gets in the car, just like Mommy does."

Upon hearing this, Dylan also remembered something and said to Mia, "Your period... hasn't come either."

With that said, he smiled and said, "This period of time... I really worked quite hard. We have to go to the hospital for a checkup now."

The driver driving in the front had an awkward expression on his face, and Danny couldn't understand. Obviously not knowing what Daddy and Mommy actually meant, he looked at Mia and Dylan curiously from the side.

Mia also followed suit and laughed as she said, "How would that be possible? Every time, I was very careful, and... Gavin found a public bathroom and luckily, this time, Mia had her tampon with her and changed it before she got into the car. Danny didn't understand and looked at Mia as he asked, "Is Mommy's stomach uncomfortable?"

Mia nodded, and Dylan asked with some anticipation, "Did it really come?"

"Uh huh." Mia nodded and said, "Now do you believe me?"

A trace of disappointment flashed across Dylan's face, but it disappeared again in a flash. He looked up at Mia and said with some ruefulness, "Well, it seems that I can only try again next month."

Feeling at a loss for words, Mia said, "Danny is beside us, so be careful of what you say." Mia gritted her teeth and lowered her voice to remind him. This guy was speaking more and more inappropriately.

"He's our son, so what are you afraid of?" Dylan didn't care and said to Mia, "Although it is only your period, you should still be careful."

Mia nodded and said, "Got it."

When they arrived at the Jones family's home, Derrick, Lily, and Eleanor met them at the door. It was so cold outside, yet they came out, and Derrick had a pleasing smile on his face.

Mia didn't know why she wasn't happy at all to see such a smile, but she was a bit sad instead.

After entering the house, Mia unexpectedly found that Oscar was also there, but he wasn't as ingratiating as the Jones family, and his attitude towards Mia was much more polite and distant.

When he saw Oscar there, Dylan's expression wasn't very pleasant, but for Mia's sake, he didn't have a public outburst.

Danny was much more outgoing than before, and although he didn't take the initiative to talk, he would answer the questions that people asked him.

Luckily, Lily came out from the kitchen and said, "The meal is ready. Let's all go to the dining room."
