Chapter 227 To The Greco Family's Old Residence

When Mia said she wanted to go over and take a look, Eric stopped her by saying, "Don't come, there are some problems here, and it is a bit troublesome, so don't come. It is dirty and messy."

Mia heard that Eric's place sounded quite noisy, but it wasn't the kind of drilling sound of renovations, so Mia was a little baffled.

Eric was very anxious to open up the restaurant, and already hired people to deliver orders to various office buildings, so how come the renovation stopped?

Mia couldn't help but ask, "Eric, is there something wrong?"

Upon hearing this, Eric sighed and said, "Someone is causing trouble here. I don't know what's going on. Although this is a good downtown location, we are a separate three- story building. I think we are renovating according to the property regulations, so we shouldn't be bothering other people, but occasionally we get reported. Today, all the teachers of a cram school blocked the entrance of our store directly, saying that they wouldn't leave until the renovation was stopped."

Upon hearing this, Mia frowned. There should be no students going to class that day. Since there were no students going to class and the teachers still reported it to the police and blocked the door, it was obvious that it was done on purpose.

She hadn't planned to go over there, but now it seemed like it was time for a showdown.

After Mia figured it out, she said to Eric on the other end of the phone, "Eric, take a day off today, and then resume in a couple of days."

Eric said to Mia, "Take a break? How can that work? Mia, I'm still waiting for it to open quickly." Eric's voice was a bit impatient, and he obviously disagreed with the idea. "I'll negotiate with them and the property management is also mediating the situation. After all, we didn't violate the rules"

Mia said, "For something like renovation, as long as others want to find fault, you would be violating something no matter what, so..."

"What?" Eric paused slightly, and as if he remembered something, he couldn't help but ask Mia, "Mia, do you mean that... someone is deliberately looking for trouble and wants to make things difficult for us?"

Mia nodded and said, "Yes. Eric, otherwise, what do you think it is?"

Eric said, "I think you have a point, then... I'll listen to you. Do you know who it is?"

Mia said, "I have a hunch. I'm going to find that person now, so you should take a break first. Otherwise, if you argue and the matter escalates, it will be detrimental to us, and then other people will definitely find ways to trouble us."

"In that case... okay." Eric nodded his head and said, "Mia, you should be careful. Do you need me to accompany you?"

Upon hearing this, Mia replied, "No, this matter can only be solved if I go alone."

Eric said to Mia, "Okay, then you take care of everything. If something happens, then contact me."

After hanging up the phone, Mia drove towards the Greco family's Old Residence.

This was the first time she went to the Greco family's Old Residence without Dylan's company and without Victor's invitation.

When she arrived there, the guard refused to let her in, even after questioning her.

The Old Residence of the Greco family was in a secluded alley, not far from the downtown area.

Perhaps because of its age, the surrounding area had developed, but this area was still very quiet. Mia pondered over it and said, "Go report to Mrs. Greco that I have something to say to her alone and if she won't see me, I'll go to the Greco Group and talk to old Mr. Greco directly."

She knew that Ava was at home, and she also knew that Victor was at the Greco Group by now. Today, the Greco family's stock plummeted, so Victor, as the previous head of the family, naturally had to go there in person.

The maid guarding the door froze for a moment when she heard Mia say that, then turned around and went in, and also closed the door.

Mia waited at the door for a few minutes before the door opened again. The maid gave Mia a surprised look and opened the electronic door while saying, "Go in, Mrs. Greco is waiting for you inside."

The interior was very old, with pavilions and terraces.

Compared to the Greco family's estate, it really wasn't that big, but the courtyard was spacious with fake mountains and flowing streams, so the scenery was very beautiful.

In the large courtyard, there were several small courtyards. It was Mia's first time there, so she didn't know what they were for, but under the guidance of the maid, she stopped at a corner building that was in the center of the courtyard.

The building was two stories, and after Mia went in, she was led up to the second floor by the maid. In a glass flower room, Mia saw Ava, who was trimming flowers.

She was dressed in simple attire. She looked breathtakingly beautiful, even at her age. Her slender fingers held a pair of scissors as she cut off the branches of the flowers that had budded one by one, which landed on the ground.

This flower room was beautiful, and most of the flowers were moon roses and other rose plants. When she saw Mia enter, Ava glanced back at her, and there wasn't much of a look of surprise on her face, but she had a smile on her face instead as she said, "Miss Jones is here? I'm busy, so I'm afraid I'll have to neglect you."

Mia's face was cold, and her tone was chilly as she said, "It's okay, I don't need Mrs. Greco's hospitality either. I just came to have a few words with you."

"Oh really? I wonder what Miss Jones wants to say to me?" She turned her head and glanced at Mia with a smile.

Mia chuckled lightly as she said, "Why do you want to cut off these buds?"

Although the temperature outside was still cold, this glass room was similar to the glass room in Barrington Manor, where the temperature was very high, and many of the moon flowers inside were already blooming on the windows of the glass room very beautifully.

Ava actually explained the planting techniques to Mia carefully by saying, "If you keep the first crop of spring buds, they will suck the nutrients from the mother plant, causing all the flowers behind them to be malnourished, so it's better to cut them off now and wait for the flower to emerge out of the pot because then it will be even more beautiful."

She paused and glanced at Mia before smiling as she said, "There is give and take, don't you think?"

Mia also didn't get angry, but sat down on the side while smiling at Ava and asked coldly in a mocking tone of voice, "So you are willing to watch your brother suffer, just to ruin me. Is that right?"

Ava knew what she had come for today, but she never expected Mia to be so direct, so her expression immediately darkened. She no longer tried to hide it anymore and said, "You provoked me first, and I just wanted to teach you a small lesson."
