Chapter 202

"Fine then, you caught me. I'm sure not fine Daniel. How do you expect me to be okay with all this happening? Isabella is sick and she keeps having this strange dream that Alfred was shot by Andrew and he died. And I have been trying to contact Alfred but his number hasn't been going through..."

"Hey, Lisa..." Daniel called out, cutting her speech off. He noticed she was looking so tense as she was speaking and tears wouldn't stop falling off her chubby cheeks.

"Alfred is going to be fine. Isabella is going to be fine. Alfred just got on the plane this morning and I'm sure he's going to call when he gets home. You just have to calm down alright" Daniel said and Lisa stared at him without saying a word, tears slipping down her cheeks.

"Come here," Daniel said and pulled her into a warm hug.

Just then the door burst open revealing Mrs. Rebecca.

"Mom" Lisa called as she pulled away from the hug and walked towards her mom. Lisa was surprised to see her mom. She hadn't called her because she would be so worried about her and she had just recovered from memories lost. She didn't want to stress her at all and she knew Daniel must have called her.

"Oh, honey!! You look stressed and tired" Mrs. Rebecca said and Lisa sighed softly as Mrs. Rebecca hugged her.

"Daniel called me and told me what happened and I came running here. How's Isabella?" Mrs. Rebecca asked as she pulled away from the hug.

"She is in her room resting. The doctor already checked on her and prescribed some drugs for her" Lisa said and Mrs. Rebecca nodded in response.

"I'll go check on Isabella, " Daniel said and climbed upstairs to Isabella's room.

"Lisa" Mrs. Rebecca called as she held her hands and they both sat on the couch.

"Daniel told me about the dream Isabella's been having. You shouldn't think about it much, Alfred is a strong man, he can take care of himself alright" Mrs. Rebecca said and Lisa nodded in response.

Mrs. Rebecca smiled and stood up.

"So I'll be staying here for the time being till Alfred comes back. Now, get your ass off that chair. We are going to the kitchen to prepare your favorite food" Mrs. Rebecca said, smiling.

"Sure" Lisa smiled at her mother who then walked inside the kitchen. She knows whatever her mother was doing, she was only trying to cheer her up.

She must confess she missed her mom so much. She remembered those days she was sad and her mother would prepare her favorite food to cheer her up.

Lisa smiled. Those were then, now, things are different and all I need that will cheer me up is Alfred. I cannot be happy knowing the fact that he's walking into Andrew's trap.

Lisa sighed softly and stood up from the chair and walked inside the kitchen.

Two days later.

It was evening and Lisa had gone to bring the kids from school. When she got home she met Daniel and her mom arranging food in the dining room.

"Just in time," Mrs. Rebecca said, smiling.

"Oh yes, and I prepared your favorites, kids," Daniel said smiling and the kids yelled happily. They knew their uncle Daniel was a good chef and they missed his food so much.

"Why don't you guys go upstairs and change your dresses?" Lisa smiled at the kids who nodded and ran upstairs to their room.

"I'll go upstairs and change into something simple," Lisa said and didn't waste any more time she climbed upstairs to her room.

Immediately she entered the room, she locked the door and brought out her phone. She tried calling Alfred but it was the same thing, his number wasn't going through.

It's been two days since Alfred left and she hadn't heard a word from him.

"Arghhhh!!" She groaned angrily and hit the phone on the bed. She moved towards her bed and sat on it. Tears gathered in her eyes. Lots of thoughts going through her mind. She just hopes Alfred is alright.

"Lisa, the kids are here. Come let's eat" she heard her mom yell from downstairs.

"I'm coming," she said as she quickly wiped her tears and stood up from the bed. She walked inside the bathroom, took her bath, and wore one of her casual clothes before going downstairs.

When she had gotten to the dining table, she met the quadruplets already sitting with their food in front of them.

Lisa smiled at her mom and Daniel and sat down too.

The area was so calm as they ate. Lisa stared at her kids. It was very unusual. They usually love talking when they are eating. If they don't talk, they usually ask one or two questions and she would be the one to tell them to stop talking and eat but this time it was different.

Lisa sighed softly as she stared at them. She knew why the kids were so calm. Alfred wasn't with them. They just love Alfred so much and they are so attached to him that they miss him so much.

"Mommy, uncle Daniel told us daddy had traveled. He has important work to attend to. Is that true?"Arabella asked as she dropped her fork and her spoon.

Lisa stared at Daniel before staring back at Arabella.

"Yes honey" Lisa managed to smile

"When is daddy coming back?" Annabella asked and Lisa swallowed hard.

"I miss him so much, " Clarabella said as her eyes became teary.

"Daddy promised he would not leave and he left," Isabella said and dropped her fork and spoon too. She remembered she asked her daddy if he was leaving and he said no, he wasn't leaving but he had left, and this made Isabella more worried.

"Honey, Daddy is going to be back alright. Or we can go see him. What do you think about that?" Lisa asked, smiling and the kids yelled happily. Isabella then smiled.

Lisa sighed in relief. She didn't want Isabella to be sad because it could make her fall sick again as she was already getting better. Tears gathered in her eyes.

Mrs. Rebecca stared at Lisa with pity in her eyes. Her daughter was going through a lot but she was still trying to be strong for the kids. It wasn't easy for her, she knows how much Lisa loves Alfred and it's been two days since he left and she hadn't heard from him.

"I'll go get some juice from the fridge," Lisa said and stood up from the chair then walked inside the kitchen.

The tears she's been holding she finally let go. Oh, Alfred, I just hope Isabella's dream hasn't come true, Lisa cried.

"Lisa, are you alright?" She heard her mother's voice.

"Yes mom, I'm okay," she said as she quickly wiped her tears and walked towards the fridge. She brought out a can of juice and held a glass in her hands. She then closed the fridge.

Just then the glass fell from her hands shredding it into pieces.

"Honey..."

"I'm fine mom, I'll clean this up," Lisa said and bent to pick up the broken glasses but then she cut her hands. She winced in pain and her mom rushed towards her.

"Oh my God!! Lisa" her mom muttered as she helped her stand up from the ground and stared at the hand which was bleeding, it was a deep cut.

"Mom I'm okay," Lisa said, trying to hold back her tears.

"Can you stop pretending now? I know you are not okay" Mrs. Rebecca said and Lisa bit her lips inwardly.

"Lisa are you alright? I heard the sound of broken glass" Daniel said as he walked inside the kitchen and to his surprise, he saw his mom holding Lisa's hands which were bleeding.

Daniel sighed softly as he stared at Lisa. He knew she was in so much pain but not from the cut it was her heart hurting and he hated to see her that way. He needed to do something.

"I'll be leaving the country tomorrow. I should go check on Alfred and see if he's okay"
