Chapter 9: What have you done
Balqis walked into the pantry with hot she patted her cheek. She still couldn’t believe that she had managed to escape the suspicion of Trevor Quin successfully.
‘That castrated imbecile must really be out to make me suffer. This is like a suicide mission. I have to leave this company as soon as possible or else he’ll be the end of me and the twins’
While thinking hard, Balqis prepared hot water and a cup. However, as soon as she opened the cupboard, her focus was diverted.
The row of jars in front of her were labeled with the names of the dates. Black Ivory coffee for Monday, Finca El Injerto for Tuesday, Saint Helena for Wednesday, Hacienda La Esmeralda for Thursday, and Luwak coffee for Friday.
The contents of that cupboard cost more than her monthly salary! They were the most expensive coffee in the country presently and only the rich could ever be able to drink them.
‘Does it require a special technique to brew it?’ Balqis sighed worriedly.
She could imagine Trevor’s anger if she wasted the coffee grounds. But, isn’t that good? If he gets angry, he’ll definitely fire me.’
Balqis’s smile widened like a kid that’s our to pull a special prank. After nodding firmly, she turned off the heating kettle.
Without thinking, she put the coffee into a cup, and then poured it with water that had not yet boiled. She added salt and pepper to it. As soon as the coffee was ready to be served, she suppressed her laughter and put on her once innocent face but deep down, she really wanted to laugh at him badly.
“Is that his order?” Jeremy asked when she arrived at the door.
“And what if its not? Then he should go there and brew another one for himself” Balqis snorted in rude way. She really wanted to make everyone hate her then that would speed her freedom from Trevor Quin’s secretary ship bondage.
She was about to go into the office when Jeremy held her back, “Miss Minaj, just to remind you, the President not in a good mood now, so after placing the coffee on his table, just walk out”
Receiving such a serious warning, Balqis’s guts shrank a bit. “What happens if I make the third mistake? Will I be fired immediately? Then that will be good for me”
Jeremy grimaced. “Mr. Quin’s punishment is not just dismissal. I hope you never find out. His angry side is like the awakening of a thousand years old demon. Now, come in quickly! Don’t keep him waiting!”
Balqis’s heart skipped a beat when Jeremy pushed her back through. the door. She wanted to step back, but those terrible blue eyes were already staring at her.

Balqis didn’t dare move. Macey and Mara’s faces now flashed in her mind.
The twins also threatened the company’s reputation. If Trevor Quin didn’t hesitate jail a ferry captain because he lost goods, then he wont hesitate to have her kids shot dead if he knows that she had his babies.
“Do you want to suffer the same fate as the Savior crew? Even though as individuals they are professional, as a team they are very bad. Employees who hinder the company deserve to be drowned.”
Trevor’s words made Balqis swallow hard. Cold sweat began to bead on the back of her neck. She instantly regret what she had put into the coffee.
Holding her breath, Balqis watched the coffee she brewed. Trevor’s anger would definitely double if he drank it.
Balqis would not only be expelled from the company, but also from life then the twins will be motherless and her mother will become a barren at old age. The mission must be aborted immediately!
However, before Balqis could move the cup, Trevor had snatched it. The man apparently had hung up the phone. His throat was dry and needed refreshing.
“No!” Balqis grabbed the cup from his hands preventing him to gulp it down.
And then ‘SPILL’ the Warm black liquid slipped to his s trousers, right on his adam’s apple.
“… Balqis Minaj!”
Balqis’s life was almost ripped from her body. She wasn’t ready to be drowned yet. With a quick movement, she pulled out several sheets of tissue and dropped her knees to the floor .
Panic had washed away Balqis’s common sense. The girl quickly wiped his thighs and finally his… ‘that’ thing.

“What have you done to me you faceless witch?” Trevor shouted when he regained consciousness. Without pity, he pulled Balqis’s hair until she forced her head up and yelled in pain “You think I’m a cheap man who’s easy to seduce?”
The tissue sheets in Balqis’s hand fell off. Grimacing in horror, she grabbed Trevor’s hand and shook her head as best she could trying to break free from his grip.
