Chapter 212: S2- Unconcious
The venomous voice sent a shiver down Senna's spine. She was about to jump off the swing when a sudden, forceful push sent her flying forward. She let out a startled scream as she crashed to the ground.
Just as she struggled to get up, a sharp, searing pain stabbed through her abdomen. Her face instantly turned deathly pale.
"You should've died three years ago! Why are you still alive?" Astrid sneered, dressed as a maid to sneak in. She gripped a wooden stick, her face twisted with hatred. "If it weren't for you, I would be an award-winning actress by now. My endorsements would be endless! You ruined my career-was that not enough? Why did you have to ruin my marriage too?"
As she raised the stick, she suddenly caught a whiff of something metallic-blood. Looking down, she saw crimson liquid trailing down Senna's leg. She froze for a second before her fury erupted.
"You wretched woman... you're pregnant again?!"
"It hurts... help... help me...!" Senna clutched her stomach, struggling to get up, her face contorted in pain.
Senna staggered toward the house, screaming for help. The agonizing pain was so familiar-just like three years ago when Astrid had forced abortion pills down her throat. The excruciating torment had nearly killed her then. Now, the sheer agony and despair brought tears streaming down her face.
"Damn you! I won't let you give birth to Magnus's child!" Astrid's eyes gleamed with vicious intent as she raised the wooden stick again, her expression twisted with malice. She charged after Senna, ready to smash it down on the back of her head-
Then, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the yard. The guards, having heard the desperate cries for help, were rushing over.
"Damn it!" Astrid cursed, flinging the stick aside and bolting. If they caught her now, she would never make it out of Rosewood Manor alive.
Senna gasped in pain, barely able to stand. She knew Astrid had fled, but she no longer had the strength to care. Through her blurred vision, she saw a tall figure rise from a wheelchair and rush toward her.
That face-handsome beyond words-was now contorted in fear, his anguished roar cutting through the night like a wounded beast.
She was too tired. She couldn't hold on anymore. Senna slowly closed her tear-filled eyes and collapsed to the ground.
Looking at the woman collapsing helplessly, Magnus felt as if his heart was being torn apart. His mind went completely blank-he couldn't think of anything else. All he wanted was to reach her as quickly as possible, to catch her before she hit the ground.
Scarlet blood streamed down her body, staining his vision red.
"Senna, you can't be hurt! You absolutely can't be hurt! Get the car ready!" Scooping up the unconscious woman, Magnus charged toward the entrance.
"Sir, your foot-"
The bodyguards were stunned as they watched him move with such urgency. Snapping back to their senses, they immediately called the hospital, summoning the best doctors in the city.
"My god, what happened?!"
A maid, carrying a coat, stepped outside and was instantly horrified at the sight of blood pooling on the ground.
Magnus carried Senna into the car and roared at the driver, "Drive! Get to the best hospital in the city as fast as you can!"
"Yes, sir!"
The driver slammed on the accelerator, and the car sped off like a bullet.
"Senna, you're going to be fine. I won't let you leave me again. Never again," Magnus murmured, holding her tightly. He clasped her cold, lifeless hand and pressed it to his lips. Her pale face made his chest ache unbearably-he wished he could take her pain upon himself.
"Senna, please, don't leave me again. I'm begging you... I beg you..." The pain piercing through his heart was already unbearable once; if it happened again, he would throw everything away and follow her into the abyss. He bit down gently on her hand, his eyes turning misty.
"You still want to avenge your brother, don't you? You haven't even killed me yourself yet. Senna, we agreed-one week from now, my life would be yours to take..."
But Senna was as lifeless as a puppet, unresponsive to his calls.
"Faster! Drive faster!" Magnus's desperate voice rang out.
"Sir, this is already the fastest I can go!"
The driver had served Magnus for years but had never seen him this out of control. He knew how much Senna meant to him. Speeding through several red lights, the driver pushed the car to its limits, racing against time.
At the hospital, everything had already been arranged. The moment they arrived, Senna was rushed straight into surgery. A full team of top doctors had been assembled for her-an unprecedented response.
Standing outside the operating room, Magnus stared at the glowing red 'Surgery in Progress' sign. The scene before him felt eerily familiar, as if he had been transported back three years.
"No, Senna will be fine. No one will take her from me ever again." His deep, bloodshot eyes remained fixed on the door. The first person she saw when she woke up had to be him.
"Magnus, you bastard!"
A furious roar suddenly rang out from behind him.
